Urbane gdkjhdkfjhg I love that song soooo much. You have great taste in music, by the by. That song is disturbing and world-shaking. Look at this: She says that her hips are proof that she is "on tonight" and "starting to feel ya, boy." Well, this begs the question... did they have to arouse Shakira in order for her hips to gyrate in the music video? Because if they're gyrating and she's not feeling some boys or something, then clearly her hips are lying. Or, at the very least, being misleading and not telling the whole truth. Or -- and this is what keeps me up at night in a cold sweat -- what if Shakira herself is lying about the truthfullness of her hips? And if this is the case, what is left for us to believe in?

And hey, I think Shakira's hips lie to us much less than belly-aching songwriters who fart out love songs to meet deadlines. You know everyone does it at least once - constant "self expression" doesn't necessarily constitute a good musician, cause music is a damn JOB too. :3

I had such a witty comment all written up, then my net died and I said "******** it".
Shakira is one of my favorite Spanish-speaking singers. And I want her amazing gyrating abilities. The songs she's actually written are beautiful. The ones in English can't compare to the original ones in Spanish.

Urbane Shakira is one of my favorite Spanish-speaking singers. And I want her amazing gyrating abilities. The songs she's actually written are beautiful. The ones in English can't compare to the original ones in Spanish. Word to all of the above. My boyfriend got us tickets to one of her concerts this summer - Shakira is practically his second girlfriend, and he speaks fluent Spanish too. Ethan Hawk's pretty awesome, I suppose.
And Ryan Gosling (guy from The Notebook) looks like an older version of my boyfriend.

You know, I don't get it. I think I'd much rather be known for being talented than sexy any day.
Sexy is inevitably fleeting, but talent generally gets better with age. You can't be a sex symbol forever.
That said, I have no idea who most younger artists and actors are at all. I don't think very many of them are good, or at the least I haven't seen or heard anything that I particularly liked.
If I was at all talented I'd become famous just so there would be someone out there. But I don't have any talents, so oh well. If you ever hear of me, you can be sure I'm being well paid for my body at least.
