Who Am I?
I am Kharne Bloodhowler, Wolf King and infinite. I am honor and loyalty, Protector and all powerful.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
I am Darian Cross, Vengeful human and cursed. I am good turned evil, A thief of life and darkness consumed.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
I am Sablir, The Dark Omen and demon unbound. Shade of revenge and darkness everlasting, Soul stealer and heart consumer.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
I am Bleeding Heart and Soul, The lover and hopeless romantic. Destined to suffer from the heart And fated to weep away my nights.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
I am Lord Amadeus Yoj, Vampire and night stalker. I am wisdom and insanity, I am creativity and hidden below his ego.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
I am Me, Weak and tragic, but only to myself. I cannot make my own happiness. Only may I make others happy. I allow them all to use me, I sacrifice myself so they can abuse me.
I am depression and hatred. I am lowly and despise myself most of all. Forgive those who cannot understand, Because truly, I cannot understand myself either.
Masks lined against the walls, Masks for all to see. Masks to hide behind And prevent even more scars to cross over me.
So ownlooker, Who I am to you? Which is the mask? Which is reality? Who am I? Who am I to you?

Breaking the Silence
Breaking the silence In a cruel dead night; The bitter weeping of a lover Fills the freezing cold air.
Tears roll down endlessly As he hears the snapping Of his very own heart.
His soul screams "INJUSTICE!" His heart weeps "MISERY!" His mind whispers "Betrayal..." His mouth speaks "Loneliness."
So in the dead of night, His being spoke no longer, Nor did tears flow anymore, And thus returns a short silence Just before a thud in a long fall.

Hey! Guess what?...I finally got to reading your latest two! =] YAY!
And of course, I love them.
Who Am I? is wonderful. Well written, but as for the content itself...there is no room for criticism. For it is all you. All that is you, and only you yourself know that. Course...as you said, even you aren't positive.
I'm sure I have masks of my own, but mine are quite as well defined as yours are, or as well separated. They blend together, and are all me. Though, there are only certain parts of myself I ever actually hide from others behind a mask.
I like that you are able to admit what you are and what you aren't, even the things that aren't so positive. Many people can't, and I admire that you are able to.

Thanks for the recent comment, though I have to say that I would like to hear what you have to say about the second piece as well. I know we had a discussion on the matter, but I still would enjoy hearing what you have to say about it all the same.
Overall, I appreciate the attention.

Someone Save Me
As I lie here, motionless, I feel the weight slowly drift away. All of the pain and sadness scatters to the winds, But all of my past joys Just seem to flutter and are blown away too.
I have saved many others, And yet irony deems me a fit choice As one who cannot save himself. I feel pained and yet cannot escape helping them, I feel drained and yet I am compelled to aid, Even as I lie here dying with no energy to give.
Someone save me! Someone keep me!
I beg and plead with those who seem to hear, And yet I find that they are all deaf. I beckon those who seem to see, But they are too blind to truth. I try to reason with them, And yet they are too dumb to understand.
Someone save me! Someone protect me!
They just won't let me die. I feel attached to a great machine, Forcing me to submit, But no one seems to care to unhook me And let me rest.
I love all of you, But I have to let you go, So that I may let myself go.
Goodbye, And find strength in the knowledge That you are all stronger than I, A God, A Hero, A Man. If only someone could have saved me.
I don't want to tell why I made this. It just came to me and it looks so much like a suicide note that it scares me a little. Probably would be if I were so creative in a moment like that, but I'm not. I would just leave a simple, "Love you guys and I'm sorry." Eh, ooooh well. At least I could admit it. Can you say the same?

You're quite welcome for all of the attention. Breaking the Silence and Someone Save Me are very well written...though very depressing poems.
Breaking the Silence...I do love it's form. Amazing how elegantly you can portray a suicide. Even more, it gives the feeling that the man is a victim. I don't think most generally view suicides as having been victims, but something about this piece allows it. I like that. The poem has an intense affect on the reader. I just can't put it into words.
Someone Save Me...is very depressing. You're right. It does sound like a suicide note. Coming from you and knowing how truly you feel about it...it is crushing. Very nicely written, but it is hard to comment objectively. As the reader...the emotions weaved into this piece is intense, suffocating. The pain is all there, the sorrow. It makes me feel very anxious, wishing someone would save you. Wishing someone COULD save you. I don't know what else I can say about it...

The Savage Garden
Knarled branches loom overhead With vines hanging down like nooses at the gallows, While the roots and grasses rise high To trip the running and tired passerby.
None may pass without our knowing, And just as a stream is quietly creeping down, We shall hunt you, the poor unknowing.
Run! Run! Run for your life! As this is our Heaven, This will be your Hell!
This is the Savage Garden, Where all is death Save those who are the reapers. Where strength prevails And weakness fails.
Pay heed to the signs, And all shall be well. With each skull upon a pike, And spine hanging upon a vine, You should have known to turn back.
So trip and stumble on those roots! Watch your head for the noose vines! Watch your back! But most of all, watch for the spike pits!
And so ends another life, And another meaningless day. Tis so normal here in our Savage Garden, Our little piece of Hell, Our Anti-Eden.

Grave
This Cold Stone Final Home Lost Memory Eternal Sleep Hell
I decided to try out a lil something that I remembered from Literature Based Research. Some of the poems made the words into a picture. Doesn't the structure of the poem seem like a gravestone? Quite interesting and something to think about. In ten simple words and a unique structure, the meaning of the poem changes. If I were to put it in the basic structure that most poems seem to carry with more words added, it just wouldn't carry the same feeling....and one other thing, if you don't get the poem at first and what I'm trying to say....try adding the very first word "This" to the beginning of each line....you'll get it then.

Boogieman's Lullaby
Horrors! Terrors! Nightmares!
The shocks in the night, Hidden in the shadows. They say to never fear the dark, And they were right my child.... You must fear that which darkness hides.
Silence...quiet...dream, my dear child. Sleep...sleep in your little bed, Sleep to never wake again. Your soul is mine!
They say it is nothing, But they are so wrong, my sweet. We are here to sing a lullaby to you.
So one, two, we're coming for you. Three, four, crawling on the floor. Five, six, and into the river Styx. Seven, eight, straight to Hell's gate. Nine, ten, never ever to wake again.
This was generally imspired by Midnight Syndicate's song "Born of the Night" and The Grudge (the scary s**t factor). Also, the last stanza was inspired by my love for the Nightmare on Elm Street series. (one, two Freddy's coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door. Five, six, grab your cruifix. Seven, eight, stay up late. Nine, ten, never sleep again.) Soooo, yeah. Hope you liked it.

Where to begin...How about the bottom? XD
Boogieman's Lullaby - I likes it. XD You know, my favorite line happens to be You must fear that which darkness hides... I'm not sure why.. It just seems so obvious, but I've never thought of it that way. hehe I really like the last stanza. Adds a nice touch to the ending. I remember talking to you about movie series the other night...was that the same night of inspiration? XD
Grave - Short, sweet, simple...but intense. Almost gives me goosebumps. It's like you've taken off the smooth edges and the sugar coating and revealed the sad truth of it. So blunt...effective. I really like it. And the shape does lend much to the eye as the words to the soul. Intense. XD Lovely.
The Savage Garden - Sounds...I can't find the word. Sardonic, maybe? I don't know. So..mocking and twisted. I love it. I like how you call it Anti-Eden, Savage Garden. The garden itself is consuming those that pass. Very visual. Images running through my head. I love it. =]]

The movie series that I had mentioned was the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series. And no, it was not the same night of inspiration. I had written it sometime earlier, and that last stanza was inspired by memory rather than me recently watching it.
Grave....well what can I say? It is a grave. Most think it is hell for the living because they don't know what to expect. All the living know is that the person is gone and all their memories, thoughts, their mortal coil....that is all replaced by a single cold stone. Said. Besides, the definition of hell is a "hole in the ground" but at the same time, in different context, it is a nightmare.
Savage Garden....kind of random. It just came up, then I turned it into a...dystopia...an anti-utopia. Everything is perfectly wrong...equally dark and evil. Hm... but yes. I like that it is more visually based than usual for me. Refreshing seems to be a better word actually.

Picture
A photo, her visage caged, Though worth, by notion, One thousand words, It is nothing but a shadow.
She was an elegant darkness, Veiled so carefully by porcelain flesh. With a being so caring, She loved me so.
She was a mortal goddess, A creature beyond all compare. So what of all past memory? Though immortal there, She is still not with me here.
So you say a photo Is worth one thousand words? I say photos are worth nothing When compared to the suffering of her passing.

The Hunt
Covered in Shadow's embrace, I stalk her through the alleyways Taking in her delectable scent, And loving the sweet way she sways. A bird's feather drifts to the ground below.
Tonight is the night, That angels and demons alike, Shall shed tears, Because of the irony of it all.
Much to my disgrace, She gets away always. That is not what was meant, Thus the wolf inside bays. That bird's feather was of the crow.
Tonight is the night, That angels and demons alike, Shall shed tears, Because of the irony of it all.
Through a window at a slow pace, The way it was meant to be those last few days, But my plans seem ever so bent, And the wolf inside bays. A falling feather of innocence lost though a crow.
Tonight is the night, That angels and demons alike, Shall shed tears, Because of the irony of it all.
All is locked and she plays the card of spade's Ace, And thus a wolf is caught anyways. This cannot be how it was meant, And the wolf inside and out bays. That falling feather is that of crow but wolf though.
Tonight is the night, That angels and demons alike, Shall shed tears, Because of the irony of it all.
"Finally have you my new pet. Now come here to your new Master, Lay with me and give me all of you. I want your body, your soul, your very blood. Obey and lay!" With each feather torn, blood drops are shed.
Tonight is the night, That angels and demons alike, Shall shed tears, Because of the irony of it all.
Delightful black feathers torn, Colored only by pale flesh and red blood. Each falling feather of innocence lost, And each blood drop shed as is the cost, For love and want deep can bury us deeper.
This is why the wolf cried out, Right before he was bled dry, And his husk cast out to feed the rats.

I Am a God
Knowledge is power, And thus I justify my own divinity. A human is a god Who lacks will. A mortal is an immortal Who lacks awareness of self.
If knowledge is power, Then stupidity is the cardinal sin. If knowledge is liberty from pain, Then stupidity is suffering.
I am a god For I am able to destroy and create. I can even carve my own future Using only my own two hands.
My title is earned, not given. Justify to yourself why You should be a god. I cannot do this for you.

"The Tears of a Devil"
Looking into the night's sky, A star falls to the ground below, Even as it loved Him though, He was cast from the Lord Most High.
As he fell from the light, One could feel the tears, As one could feel the passing of years, Such was his heart so tight.
Fellow fellow, feel the tears of a devil, One who loved his God. Friend of friends, know that a devil may cry, And fall, and fall, straight out of the sky.
Behold the Fallen Star! See the Morningstar! Feel his suffering and mourn mortal, For only an angel could feel so scorned.
A light turned more to darkness. A purity turned more to defilement. A love turned more to hate.
