I've been trying to write more lately. I'm trying to get back into my short story mode.
I wouldn't suggest being a pain until you have nothing to lose. But seriously, if you can slap tongue then do it. Sneak up behind people and scare them. It's awesome. I think clarinets can do it. You are sweet reed users after all.

So, about how mad did you make the director?
About the worst I did when I was in band back in middle school was to plug up one of the tubas with paper and to make the occasional fart noise with my French horn (which got even more laughs if I hadn't emptied the spit valves in a while). xd

@Foxy: I wrote two stories yesterday. One is sad and the other is stupid as hell. I can send you either/or if you'd like.
Waaaaaah? You no can take music next year? Why is this?
@Levaaaaallllia!: He didn't get mad. He tried to ignore me. Sometimes he'd give me this weird look and I'd laugh or smile. I don't think he wanted to deal with me.
Could the tubas play? I wish I had tried that. I was too afraid to mess with the tubas other than try them on. They weigh a ton! They march with the sousaphones and I would die just standing with their metal ones. I love the French horn. That instrument makes the craziest sounds. I got used to you horns and your sick spit valves in eighth grade when I sat next to a kid who practically had a river going by the end of class. Your director ever get mad?

Yeah, but it sounded funny as hell. Kinda' squeeky. xd
Yeah, the French horn could be lots of fun once you started learning how to make all those interesting sounds.
Did that kid ever empty the spit valves?
What really sucked was sitting in front of the trombones. The guys playing them were jerks and kept wacking me in the back of the head with their slides while playing. They also tended to blow spit from their spit valves into my hair. I hated their guts. stare
Yeah, we all had fun pissing him off. He turned the most interesting colors...xD Sometimes, while he was turned around writing things on the board or something, someone would make a quick, loud sound with their instrument. He'd turn and look, but never figure out who'd done it, so he'd turn back to what he was doing. Then someone else would make a sound. And he'd try to figure that one out. We played that game for about a third of the class period once. xD

xd I've seen that done. "Let's play... ANNOY THE TEACHER!" blaugh Some kids started doing it in sex ed. It started out as whispers, then they got louder and louder until the teach just left. Me, the TA, just laughed. When she left, I bust out laughing even harder and the kids just stared at me. eek

That is awesome Lev! You rock! In middle school we had a few kids switch instruments when a sub came and one kid launched the slide off his trombone into the first row. Oh the glory. Did your teacher ever catch anyone? I bet he was so pissed.
Oh the kid emptied the spit valve. Right at the end of class. Always a lake under his chair. He was practically a drool machine, methinks. The trombones were pretty nice to us. I was the "mother" of their section head so I suppose that comes with the perk of not being nailed in the back of the head.
Holy canole, Critic! What were you all doing? That sounds so funny.

That had to be hilarious! Trombone slide flying into the first row! rofl Did it hit anyone?
He caught one guy, but that's only because said guy was a moron. I think he wanted to get caught because he sat there and started playing a solo. rolleyes
I knew brass instruments were bad about collecting spit, but yeah, that kid had to have been pretty drooly. =P
How many "children" did you have?! xd
