Wydda

Rain Roma and the others filled the lobby as they waited to be called in again. A unsettling sound was marching it's way up the steps, many heavy footsteps. Clanking as each armoured foot hit a stone step, the sound rang up to the lobby outside the presidents very door. Wydda hadn't payed any attention to it until a familier voice rang through her ears, it was still unsettling.

"Yo! Wydda!"

The voice of a smoker somewhat gruff and raspy. She looked up, eyes meeting with her old boss and friend Deehe. "Look at how they treat patients here." Wydda smiled and jumped from her seat, just as one of the blue clad guards struck him across the face. "You will do well to not strike the former leader of Turks!" Wydda shouted as she forced her way to his side. Being hit didn't seem to bother him as much as his comment's bothered the guard.

His face was a little swollen and there was a little blood at the corner of his mouth, which was probably the reason why his voice sounded a little off. His hair was not at its usual state, rather it was unkempt and matted falling into his line of sight.

They didn't back down or away from Deehe and the wheelchair, they must have been given specific orders. Wydda glared at the guards as they stood at ease. Waiting for something, or rather someone. Suddenly remembered. "So what's up with you?" Wydda asked honestly concerned. "Last I saw you were, at least I think you were being pushed around in Hojo's lab this morning? " Wydda's heart was full of sheer joy and ecstacy. She and Deehe were one of the very few remaining Turks as of three years ago, he wasn't appointed leader until two years ago.

Of course there are many other Turks, who were either sent out on missions and never returned. Which concerned her, Deehe Nekro and Tinkeu are a couple names of those who are missing. Nekro was her partner for along time, then he just disappeared.

"Holy s**t!" Wydda exclaimed her hair falling forward into her eyes. "Raine Roma Kim and Millia!!" Wydda introduced the group to Deehe and gave them a basic run down on how he was leader and how he dissappeared suddenly blah blah blah blah blah this and that.

Air looked down at the phone and snorted in mild distaste as he tossed it back to Reno. Honestly, who did Rufus think he was dealing with? Ehren was a professional. He always got the job done right the first time, and there wasn't any point in worrying about it afterwards. It wasn't what professionals did.

He reached across the table and stole Crest's daiquiri, downing what remained of it in one go. He smiled slightly as he rose. Crest knew enough of what was going on to have surmised the general idea of what the phone call had concerned, and Reno was too hungover to really give a damn.

"So you're going, then?" she asked with a slightly impressed look on her face. "I thought relaxation was very important when you were off."

"Oh, it is," he responded, perfectly sincere. "Don't get me wrong, I don't give a damn about the preparations or seeing that things go off properly. I just want to see the look on old man Shin-Ra's face." He grinned at her and tossed a few gil on the table, exiting quietly the way he came, leaving the other few Turks hanging about to their drinks.

She raised an eyebrow. He definitely wasn't going back to double-check whatever preparations Rufus had had him make for the AVALANCHE invasion. He never double-checked anything. But what had he meant by the look on the president's face? She'd knew that Rufus had something up his sleeve--he very often did, all spoiled brat appearances aside--but what exactly was it? She was tempted... very tempted, in fact, to tail him back.

But then, time off was time off, and he'd stolen half of her drink.

"Er, Waitress?"

Inside Ehren's ridiculously expensive car, speeding down the highway, his cell was ringing. Very simple, very quiet, very elegant ring, nothing fancy--functionality truly was beauty. He pressed the small button next to the steering column which activated the bluetooth speakers.

"Yes?"

"Mr. Arkenseel?" came a hushed, hurried voice.

"Tems, I've told you not to use this line a thousand times," he said, a frown crossing his face. "What is it?"

"A certain Deehe Wron was operated on by Professor Hojo himself just a little while ago," Tems replied. Tems was one of Hojo's Lab Assistants, turned into an informant of the good doctor's projects in exchange for a little investment "advice" that the Intelligence Officer slipped him on a weekly basis. "Thought you might find the information interesting."

"Deehe?" he replied with a short laugh. "Is that guy finally back?" The former leader of the Turks, officially pronounced dead by the company a couple of years ago. Air knew better, of course... but it was odd that he'd come back now. Worst time possible, Air thought. "Thanks, Tems."

He hung up. Deehe, huh? If Wydda was around the office, she'd certainly stay in to talk with him, and if anybody else way around, they may be sucked into the conversation as well. Bad combination if AVALANCHE was going to try to bust in head on, and with a leader as strategically retarded as Barret Wallace, they may very well end up doing just that. Perhaps if he got a couple of guards on duty just outside the main doors, they'd actually think twice about charging in, guns-a-blazing.

He made the appropriate calls, finishing just as he arrived at the front. He parked his car in an available area not too far to the side of the front door, and entered the building.

Roma nodded slightly, the index and middle fingers of his right hand coming up to give a small salute like gesture before he went back to his gum. It wasnt really his concern who was in charge of the Turks. As long as he got his paycheck and a few missions he was a happy bunny. That said; if the leader, whoever it was, was in trouble then Roma would do his best to save them. Apparently this Deehe character hadnt been so lucky though.

Kim exited the room feeling slighly sick. She hoped that she wouldn't have to ride in a mobile suit. The thought of it make her dizzy. She'd rather be fighting a thousand ninjas than get into a hunk of metal. The meeting itself was pretty cool, though Scarlet was as anoying as ever. She hadn't changed a bit.

Kim thanked Roma for holding the door open and joined the others in the hall. Before she could open her mouth, the guy from downstairs, that she saw with Reeve, suddenly appeared. He looked banged up bad, but there had to be a reason he was here. Meeting someone, perhaps. He greeted Wydda and Kim learned that he had the past leader, disappeared...etc.

She was glad she now knew how he was. "Nice to meet you, sir!" She chirped, politely smiling.

Millia remained calm throughout the meeting. Scarlet was ranting on something about them using Mobile suits. Millia raised an eyebrow on the thought. Well, one thing is for sure, the meeting was short but they then have to go back in when called. Millia smiled lightly to Roma for holding the door open for them. She had her hands in her pockets, leaving the office casually.

Millia took a spot somewhere quite far from where the others were. She leaned against the wall and now has her arms crossed over each other. She had her eyes closed and her head down, thinking about what Scarlet had just said.

How annoying...

Was Millia's thought on that woman. Later, she heard someone calling out for Wydda and then there were some talking. It was a man appearing in his forties or so he looked like it. It seems that he was the former leader of the Turks. Millia would've gone up to him and salute to him but she was lazy to do so and its not like he would notice her. But not wanting to display a bad image of herself, she waited for him to at least notice her before going up to salute to him. But she hopes he doesn't.

I waved away all the bothersome introductions and comments. Wydda was the only familiar face, though most I had seen file pictures of at the least. I turned back to Wydda with a grin,
"Yeah, I went through a round of "Lets Play Doctor" with Hojo. In all honesty they just took me off the operation table several minutes ago."
Surrounded by companions, my boldness grew and I slid my hands up to the shirt pocket of the guard to my right and pulled out a thin plastic wrap pack of cigarettes and an almost empty lighter. The alarmed guard raised his hand to strike, and with a cautious look to Wydda lowered it. I was still grinning as I lit the cigarette and took a drag.
"The dissappearing act wasn't planned I assure you, but I'll discuss that with you later. However, to answer the question as to why I am here..." I searched for how to put it tactfully and gave up after a few seconds. "The Vice-President is going to sadistically beat and torture me. Throw me in a holding cell. Repeat as needed and then, most likely I'll be executed so as it looks like an accident."
The cherry burned away the paper as I took a long drag, the nicotine flowed down my throat and back refreshingly.
"I must say however, that boy you have under you is an excellent fighter, reminds me of me when I was as young as him."

Raine had given Deehe a quick salute as well, before returning to merely listening to the conversation going on around her. Her head tilted slightly as Deehe said something about being executed and wondered what had happened that ShinRa would go so far as to execute him. Then again, it was ShinRa, and she wouldn't be that surprised if it was for no critical reason.

The smell of cigarette smoke filled the air very quickly.

"I must say however, that boy you have under you, is an excellent fighter. Reminds me of me when I was as young as him." Deehe took another drag, the edges of the little stick of cancer glowed a warm orange.

"Mmm?" Wydda made a curious sound.

One of the large polished oak doors opened, a bald shiney Palmer head poked out. "Did you forget about us?" Palmer pushed the door open. Wydda gave Deehe a perfect salute and turned on her heels and they began filing into the office once more. She turned to look back at Deehe only to see a guard snatch his lighter back and strike Deehe across the cheek as he smirked.

Wydda stood in between the Turks. Towards the back of the room were two machines approximatley nine feet tall, one was red the other silver.
Along what would be their biceps were the names 'Bloody Kaiser' for the blood red and 'Hybrid Enforcer' for the silver one. Along the thighs of each it said 'TEST'.

Scarlet and Heidigger each went on a little rant about which capabalities went along with their missions and how they worked. Apparently they have come to a decision that if they find it necessary they will have the Turks use these machines.

Half an hour later. "Wydda Johanna Rhue! You are to read these papers and I will leave the rest with you. You will hand out the missions to which Turks you deem appropiate." The president sat back in his chair and turned facing the window. "This meeting is finished." He breathed deeply "Oh and Heidigger, give Wydda those write ups you filled out. Its your responsibility to make sure they get these Wydda."

Wydda saluted him. "Sir!"

And turned to leave.

Ehren ducked quietly into the security office. The guards were snoring--annoyingly loudly, he noted. He'd heard rumors that this new batch were pretty lax about their job, but then, it had probably helped that he'd paid somebody from the last shift off to mix in a special brand of "flavoring" to the pot of coffee before he left. People from Midgar are just too damned easy. He smirked.

He panned through the hundreds of monitors, eventually finding what he wanted--just at the bottom of the emergency stairs, a large black man, the long-haired girl, and--huh? Some spikey headed kid... Weird, he thought. He didn't remember anybody like that in the files he'd gathered on AVALANCHE. But glimpses of his face looked vaguely familiar...

No matter. Barret was here, and what was left of his team was with him. After Hojo's precious little specimen. He shrugged in an almost good-natured-looking fashion. All according to schedule.

Pushing one of the wheeled chairs the guards were sitting in out of the way, he accessed the Shin-Ra security mainframe and quickly hacked his way into the restricted access camera feeds: particularly, those centered on the 70th floor. There were too many Turks there, not to mention Scarlet and Heidegger.

This was going to be a problem. He'd have to herd them out. It appeared as though the primary problem was that Scarlet was drooling at the Turks over one of her newest toys. Alright, that was easily fixed, then. Time to call a meeting of the Department Heads.

All the electronic peripherals that the company employees--all the way from paper-pushers to the President himself--were wired into the Shin-Ra network. "Calling" a meeting would be as simple as hacking into the DH schedules and doing a little editing. Their cellphones, PDA's, or whatever else they had on hand would do the rest.

He shrugged nonchalantly as he typed a few override codes into the system, and then logged out, though not before completely deleting every trace that he'd been there.

Swinging his hands up behind his head, he walked leisurely out of the security office toward the elevator, stopping only once to light a cigarrette. Yes, smoking wasn't allowed in the elevators--or the building, for that matter--, but he figured he'd earned just this one.

Ater's eyes snapped open as he sat up with a gasp and instantly regretted doing so. His body didn't as much complain as try to tear itself out of his skin and do a runner for it. Trying to grit his teeth resulted in biting down hard on some kind of tube, which also promptly caused him to gag and choke.
Tearing the tube from his mouth he doubled over and choked more. After his little choking fit Ater sat up against all his bodys protests and looked around. A room. White. A med lab?
Groaning Ater heaved himself out of the bed and spent the next few moments wincing as various tubes pulled him back to the bed. Detubing himself Ater shakly stood up and then snarled. Where the ******** were his pants?!
Looking unimpressed at the gown he found himself in Ater scratched his head and walked towards the door, opening it and sticking his head out into the hallway.
He blinked furiously at the slightly brighter light and scanned a little.
Well, surely somone knew he was up by now.

Wydda
Captain

Wydda had just finished handing out the write ups Heidigger had issued. Most of the Turks were away or injured so she slipped them under their offices doors.

Just as she was ready to head back to her dorm to catch some rest there was an alarm.

Intruders on floor 58!

"s**t!" Wydda said as people had begun to barrel past her.

The voice over the intercom repeated itself a couple of times and while doing so sending everybody into a panic. People had begun rushing to get out of the building. Wydda knew what to do, she knew who they were.

She headed up towards the armoury.

Kim had just dropped off another one of Reno's reports, the one he shoved on her before running out for a new mission. She had the rest of her afternoon planned out; dodging secretaries, making another get-well card for Ater, and ironing the pile of clean clothes in her room. She also assumed that Wydda had dropped off the write-ups too and she was eager to find out what her new assignment was. As Kim headed toward the elevator on 51st floor, an alarm went off.

Intruders on floor 58!

Kim snapped out of her daze as the speaker announced the enemy inflitration. The workers around her seemed to snap to life too, rushing around like caged animals, fighting for the stairs and elevators. 'Animals,' Kim thought, as a fat office worker pushed her out of the way.

'AVALANCHE must be here', Kim thought. 'Maybe I should find the rest of the Turks.... no. Remeber what the President said? He wanted to see more out of me. I'll prove it too him.'

Adjusting her glasses and bun one final time, Kim dashed for the staircase and fought her way up.

As Wydda ascended her way towards the armoury she was having to push through less and less people, until it was simply empty. The sound of her footsteps rang against the empty walls. She came to a dead halt when a restricted steel door blocked her path. She swiped her keycard and the doors opened electrically emitting a low hum. Rows before rows of weapons ranging from iron knuckles to SMG's to high powered rifles.

However Wydda preferred to fight close. She scanned the wire the shelves looking for something to peak her interest. As she wandered the aisles she evntually happened upon the largest set of knives and sowrds she has ever seen. A red leather handled knife caught her eye it was eight inches long and serrated.

She smiled at this, on her way out she picked up three magazines for her pistol and the locked the door on her way out. She strapped the knife issued for combat to her thigh, she had begun to fill the magazine in her pistol with rounds as she descended the elevator.

She sent a voice message to Ater and Ehren. "You too are going prevent the infiltrators from reaching the president, if they take the path involving the elevators bring them to the prison and lock them up immediatly. Do your best to not make a mess of them."

She wanted to find Millia, Kim, Roma and Raine, she had other plans for these Turks, plans that would make the president very happy.

Kim climbed the stairs, pushing frantic people aside as she charged her way up. The screams from frightened people filled the air and it seemed at if mass chaos hit the buliding. Not that she understood their fear, 'They aren't even on this floor,' She thought.

As she reached another floor, she skidded to a stop. A farmillar woman was a ways down the hall, getting out of one of the elevators. She had a knife strapped to her thigh and a pistol on hand, looking ready to kick some butt. That sure was Wydda.

"Wydda!" Kim yelled, trying to get her attention. The building was still so very noisey and her voice only streched so far....

Ater looked around as the alarms went off and the intercom started barking out about intruders. Great, people breaking in again and here he was without any of his equipment. They better had stored it safely or he was going to kill somone. But what really pissed him off was the lack of two things. His Sythe for one, and his pants for the other.
Hearing rushing footsteps closing in from down the hall, Ater shrugged, guess he'd have to borrow some things. Opening the door he poked his head out and saw one of Shin-ra's bog standard SOLDIERs, the guy wasn't even good enough to be a ranked officer. Sighing Ater stuck his arm out, grabbed the man by his coller and yanked him into the room, pinning him to the wall.
"Right, listen up, no questions, give us your uniform." Ater growled at the man.
"But who..." the man was cut off as Ater's forearm slammed into his throat, dropping him like a stone.
"We SAID no questions" sighing Ater quickly stripped the man and put on the uniform, it was a little roomier than he'd expected, but then he'd never had to wear the basic uniform before.
Calmly picking up the man's gun Ater walked out of the room only to have what seemed to be a Second class SOLDIER confront him.
"Private! Where have you been?! This is an attack on HQ! GET MOVING!" The man barked, obviously he was in charge of the squad the man Ater had knocked was from.
"How about, we tell you to go ******** yourself, you take a swing and we put you face down on the floor before you know what's hit you?" Ater didn't remove the mask he was wearing, hell, he knew he'd have jobs to do right now, but this was just funny.
"And why do you think you can do that boy?!" The SOLDIER was neer screaming at him.
"Well, mainly because we still hold the record for the fastest time in clearing the SOLDIER first class exam you ********!" Ater snarled "Now move out of our ********' way! We've a job to do!" And with that Ater took off past the stunned man.
Now all he had to do was actuly find another Turk so he could get a breifing on what the ******** was going on around here. And even if his wounds ached he was sure they'd hold for the moment.
