It just makes me giggle the blatant hypocrisy CFers spew. I mean, I was stupid like that at that age too, I admit! But yeesh, they claim to be pro-choice, but seem to forget, uh, having children is a choice as well.

I know all of them aren't like that.

I hang over at CF_debate on LJ because there are interesting topics and people seem to be level headed and not of the OMG A BABY! PUKE! variety.

They are more just people who want to remain childless for their own reasons. Some of them even owning up to GOSH even thinking babies might be CUTE! NO!

But yeah the ones who are so ANTI-CHILD just in general seem a little weird. I mean I'm not a big spider fan but I don't go out of my way to squish the ones outside or anything. Or write up diatribes about them and how they BURDEN MY VERY EXISTENCE!!!!

Yeah, you're right. I'm more thinking of the latter example. Like I can understand from an intelligent point of view and not being so angry about a decision to not have children. It's the people that verge on the point on violence and hatred that bug me.

I wish my neighbors were CF. stare They don't even try to control their son. Today, we came home to him smashing Mini Oreos on our garage door. This isn't the first thing he's done.

I couldn't date alone until I was 16 either. Not that that did much, since both sets of parents were still really way overprotective. sweatdrop

I don't smoke, drink lots or do drugs though, because I know the effect it would have on my body.

Overprotective? (I'm not saying my situation was worse, just giving an example 'cause I feel like it.) I wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons until I was 14.

I spent my first year of college living at home and I was still not allowed to watch Simpsons, south park, or adult swim and was only allowed 2 hours on the computer a day.

Also... I still had a curfew, was not allowed to go to my guy friends houses even if there were girls present and I had to get permission before I went somewhere and while I was at th3e place I had permission to go I couldn't leave to somewhere else unless I called and got further permission.

But... my mom is 80 so that is probably the reason she was so strict. (she adopted me when she was 60 and I was a baby.)

Wow!

Nopen, I like the sig.

umm... what does "CF" stand for, exactly? (and LJ, too, while I'm asking.)

CF - Child Free (people who for whatever reason do not have kids, some make that choice because they don't want them, but there are also others who can't have them and decide not to try other means, just anyone who's MADE A DECISION to not have kids...usually ever).

XD Call them "childless" and they'll rip you a new one, because they get very sensitive about that and you're apparently telling them everyone HAS to have kids.

I can see how this whole string could be very confusing if one doesn't know what CF is.

WARNING: This will be very long and very angry. Read at your own risk.

[begin rant]

I am so sick and tired of rude, hypocritical, lying, idiotic, irrational, pathetic excuses for human beings!

AJ and I decided that instead of staying at his parents house to save money that we really wanted to be away from family and be on our own once we got married. So we've been slowly moving his stuff over to my place, packing and un-packing and re-packing. Well, yesterday he and his dad got in a huge fight about the wedding/reception and his dad got all of AJ's belongings and threw them out in the snow! So, we're working in the cold, and wet trying to get his stuff to fit in our two compact cars so it doesn't get ruined. So not only are things a little more cramped than they were going to be, but the stress of everything put me back in the hospital yesterday with more heart problems!

So what was this monumental argument about, you ask?

When AJ and I found out we were pregnant we wanted to scale the wedding and reception down, and just keep it simple. Clean, simple and intimate. And we're not having a huge gaggle of people. Well, his parents sit there and start yelling at us because they want to send out 20 more invitations! So what to they do? They lied to me to get an extra copy of the invites that had all the information on them, telling me AJ's mom makes gifts from them. Well, I find out 1 day later that they aren't amking a gift from the invite! They're scanning the invite, changing all the wording, and then were going to send them out as their own! I paid $183 frickin' dollars on those invites and designed them myself! And they're going to send them out as their own! No frickin' way! I'll sue 'em for copyright infringement! So while everyone is out of the house, we go over and get the last few items in AJ's room; then I deleted every single scan/copy/re-make of the invites, took back my ultrasound picture and my copy of the invitation that I gave them!

And if that wasn't enough; my mom calls Richard (AJ's dad) to try and find out what the problem is with all the fighting to try and fix it. He starts yelling at her about how pissed off he is at her and my family because we've taken the entire wedding away from them and sabotaged everything they've tried to do! Then proceeded to tell her that I've been telling them how much my mother hates AJ's family!

First off if he's going to talk about how anyone hates his family, it should damn well be me! I'm the only one who has ever said I hated them and never to them! And he's going to get all mad about how they haven't been able to do anything for the wedding? Well, maybe they shouldn't have promised all this grandiose crap and then spent the money for it on a church camping trip and left us to foot the bill!

And this wedding night stay they're paying for? I plan I paying them abck every single penny they paid for it. I am NOT going to let them hang that over our heads for the rest of ur lives like they have with every single one of their children! They want to take everyone out for a family dinner before the wedding? Well, they damn well should've have said something long before the last week before the wedding! Ya know, I'm really sorry that the people AJ's FATHER wants there at the dinner can't make it the days I'm not working but I don't give a damn!

And i've been telling them for exactly 7 months, if they wanted anyone else added to the invitation list then to make sure to give me the address BEFORE February. Did they? No.....They waited until a week before the wedding to screw everything up, and live up to every single hated ideal I have about them!

And I'll be damned if they ever get to grandparent my children until they straightne up and act like civilized, polite, human beings!

So moral of my rant? If his family wants this big grandiose crap for a reception, good for them. But stay the hell outta of our plans for OUR wedding!!!!! Its OUR wedding NOT THEIRS!!!!!!!!!! scream

[/end rant]

Okay, admittedly, this was a stupid thread to begin with, but I wasn't going to sit there and listen to some ignorance being spouted. Birth is the same as passing a kidney stone? No people find pregnant women attractive? Pregnant women are "gross" if they wear a bikini to swim?

Had to post a pic of me pregnant before to gross them out too.

Me either. I'm wondering if they went through and denied access to anyone with the GPG.

I don't think so, I think it degraded into a flame war before any of us got to go back.

Luna, Dirge, and I all posted, and then one of the original posters posted to Luna telling her to calm down and not take it so damned personally...etc.

That's the last post I saw.

Yeah, I'd be curious to know how they can deny access to just a small group of people. whee

My guess was that it resorted to flaming and had to be recycled.
