Everything happened so fast after the blur flashed passed her. The events happening before her were so unexpected that she didn't even have a good grip on the horse when it wildly shot up in the air in fright. If it weren't for the shogun's protective arm around her than surely she would have fallen off. Her attention was far too much on the fire headed man who shot out fire through his fan and her eyes widened with horror the way he burned the assains without so much as of remorse expression. It was a wonder how he was able to even still stand from the shape he was.
Once the horse was masterly steadied and the sight of all the burned guards registered through her mind, Yui's grasp on the shogun's arm tightened, already expecting to be the next burnt victim on this bandit's list. Even though she had done absoblutely nothing to this fiery haired bandit, she was still on the same horse as the shogun which the bandit seemed to have a quarrel with. What difference to him would it mean that if he fired straight at the shogun, he would burn her to a crisp too?
Her face paled at the though of being burned alive. What an awful way to die but her thoughts were soon shattered as she noticed movement in the shogun's other arm and her eyes widened with pure startlement when a blue beam emitted from the shogun's palm. What was it with her running into people with strange powers?! First it was Soi, than that fiery bandit, and now even the shogun?! Did Kouji have some sort of unknown powers as well? Well at least the shogun had managed to disarm the bandit to prevent him from hurting even more guards though his howlful pain did make her wince. Suzaku Seven? That man was one of the Suzaku seven? So this meant that this Konan country and Kutou country were enemies? Did this mean this shogun here was one of the Seiryuu seven. If that was the case than perhaps he knew Soi since she claimed to be one of the Seiryuu seven warriors. Why was all of his happening while Soi was in danger?
Yui nervously bit her lower lip as she could only hope that Soi could hold up on her own a little longer. Despite all that was happening, Yui was glad to hear that the shogun was still willing to help her above everything else. Her eyes slowly darted over to Kouji as the shogun grouped him together with the wild bandit. So that wild bandit there, that was the friend Kouji had been looking for. That was the famous Genrou. He was way more different than she expected him to be. If Kouji was smart, he would just have his friend back off and make a run for it. There was no reason to stay. She had found a form of military help to handle the situation back down in the village and his friend causing trouble would only delay them aiding Soi.
The fiery haired bandit may be a wild one but Kouji wasn't. He was kind but she didn't have much to worry about Kouji since the shogun had only told the men to occupy, capture, or restrain them. Right now, her main concern was Soi. But still, she had to be reassured that Kouji wouldn't be harmed. All of this thinking was begining to make her feel dizzy or maybe it was all of these stressful events that were causing her once small cold to worsen.
"They're not going to do any harm to Kouji are they?" Yui worriedly asked as she could now hear Kouji shouting out for her return. This had to be one big misunderstanding, Kouji wasn't like that fiery haired bandit at all.

Chichiri's eye widened beneath the mask as he saw the fireworks display below them. One of the attackers was clearly a Suzaku seishi. He didn't have to be a mage to tell that the redhead was in bad shape. Though he wanted to help he couldn't really leave Miaka by herself. Kutou envoys were reknown for sending ahead scouts, if any of them discovered the girl by herself... It would be very, very bad no da He saw the group split up. Suddenly, the heavy Seiryuu energy lifted. It seemed as if the sorceror had left.
"Stay here safe...or go help no da..." he muttered to himself.

Beads of sweat formed on Soi's brow. If only the foolish girl had gotten out of the way sooner, the lightning seishi wouldn't have had to use up so much energy on weak attacks. One encantation...two maximum were all that was really needed.
She tossed aside her sword since it had crumbled and warped with the force of the spell. She awkwardly fell to one knee and paused to catch her breath. Hopefully they wouldn't be back for a while.
Soi then heard the clip-clopping of horses approaching.
"Shimatta..." she groaned as she attempted to stand and failed. Her eyesight was too blurry to make anything out except the large fuzzy mass of a horse and its rider. One more attack and she would pass out, but there really was no other option now. Her fingers crackled with electricity as she clenched her jaw focusing her will power.
"Get away from me," she told the approaching shadows through gritted teeth.

Opaaru Kutou envoys were reknown for sending ahead scouts, if any of them discovered the girl by herself... It would be very, very bad no da He saw the group split up. Suddenly, the heavy Seiryuu energy lifted. It seemed as if the sorceror had left.
"Stay here safe...or go help no da..." he muttered to himself. As if on cue, (Couldn't Resist) a dark and sinister figure approached the wayward couple from the other side. Knowing full well that over the ridge, the rest of the envoy would be, he assumed that their focus would be drawn, and with a few well placed blows, could have a few more captives to add to the Kutou list. He was not, however,aware that this particular prey...had the ability to sense evil presences... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kouji_no_miko "Come back with Yui!" he shouted as he took out his sword and attempted to give chase. "Genrou, we can't lose that guy!" he shouted to his friend, knowing that his friend would be the only human able to outrun a galloping horse. Niftyness "They're not going to do any harm to Kouji are they?" Yui worriedly asked as she could now hear Kouji shouting out for her return. This had to be one big misunderstanding, Kouji wasn't like that fiery haired bandit at all. The assasins and soldiers began to form a closing ring to try and corral the bandits. With only himself and Yui on a single horse, the rest of the journey to the village was swift. Nakago steered the horse straight for Soi's quickly fading energies and passed through the charred and debilitated bodies, bringing the horse to a slow.Opaaru Her fingers crackled with electricity as she clenched her jaw focusing her will power.
"Get away from me," she told the approaching shadows through gritted teeth.

Soi's eyes widened. How could she have missed sensing his energy before?
"Nakago-sama," she whispered the electicity amidst her finger faded and the rolling black clouds immediately ceased their booming. She blinked in a futile attempt to focus her eyesight. "I did not know it was you..." she mumbled before wavering and falling face down in the dirt.

Chichiri spun about and stared directly at the assasin raising his staff to block the strike. These people aren't messing around no da! he thought to himself as he cast a stun spell towards the shrouded figure.
"Go help I suppose no da," he sighed grabbing a hold of Miaka. "Are you well priestess you've been pretty quiet na no da?"

"Uuurk..."
Was about all the black cloaked figure could muster. This was not possible...first...how had he been detected and his attack blocked...but then..over and above that...he could not move...he was all but paralyzed! This would amount to failure of the worst kind...and he knew very well the penalty for failure...he strained to try to escape this...most asuredly...spell that held him, praying that his counterpart would not realize he had been comprimised, and end it all.
The barrier around them fell in time as Soi crumpled to the ground. She had expended a great deal of energy...perhaps the threat had been greater than anticipated. The caravan would join them soon enough...so for now, they would tend to her....with the priestess here...initial thought would be that they needed all Seven Warriors...
He slid from the horse to the ground, taking its reigns and leading it, in case Yui had never ridden a horse alone, wading them throught the last of the sizzling bodies to where Soi now lay. The wether began slowly clearing now that she was not focusing her power into it, and he took in the area...a rather run down village...though almost to Konan...still in Kutou territory...so they would not have to make more of a ruckus by taking it over.
He aspied what looked to be an Inn and leaned down taking Soi in his arms, and wrapping the end of the reigns around his hand so he could lead the horse, while carrying her the short distance it would be to the inn.

Tasuki bent down and picked up his fan with other hand. "Kouji what the Hell are you doing here?" he demanded with a scolding glance. "Honestly, typical of you." He turned to the guards. "You're going to be barbequed!" With an insane smirk he swung his fan. "Rekka...SHIEN!"
This wasn't going well and the bandit hadn't a clue who his friend was shouting after, the sooner they got out of this mess the better. He glanced around to survey the situation. 'I'm not going to be a prisoner again,' he vowed to himself.

Kouji looked at his friend sheepishly. "I well...no Kouji don't tell him...yeah but he deserves to know...Kouji you're meant to be smart you know what his reaction will be." Kouji scratched his head awkwardly and was relieved for multiple reasons when Nakago stopped to help Soi. Kouji couldn't run as fast as Tasuki that was certain and he couldn't outrun a horse but maybe he'd make it time. He bolted for it towards Nakago, Soi and more importantly, Yui.
"He isn't taking her," the blue haired bandit snarled to himself, "not if I can help it." He then queried himself, "why is Genrou here anyway? How does he know blondie? Oh well, now's not the time for info Kouji, later!"

A soft gasp emitted from her lips the moment she caught sight of the scene before her. The bandits that had tried to force her into slavery were burnt to a crisp, most dead, or perhaps a seldom few at the verge of death. Her attention was mainly on the horrorific view before her that she did not notice Soi until the woman spoke and Yui's eyes were quick to widen even further. "S...SOI!", Yui worriedly called out and was about to go to the woman's aide but her body instantly froze at Soi's words in which Yui could only cast the woman a worried glance. Her gaze blankly fell onto the shogun as he spoke to Soi. So they do know each other. Yui remained silent while the two interacted, thinking since Nakago knew this woman than he would have a much better chance calming her down. Soi didn't look too good at all. It seemed the woman had used up all of her energy. It was a good thing they arrived back when they did otherwise someone probably would of tooken advantage of Soi's weak state. The moment Soi lost consciousness, Yui herself was about to slide off the horse but stopped once she saw Nakago already one step of her. Yui wanted to ask him if Soi would be alright but Nakago wasn't exactly a docter. She could do nothing but watch as he lifted the woman up before walking in a general direction of an Inn. It amazed her how this man always seemed to know what to do. From her observation, this shogun seemed to be prepared for anything that came his way. "A.....ano.....N...Nakago-sama is it? Agrigato for coming to help." Yui suddenly spoke up in a sincere tone as they drew closer to the inn.

The twins eventually reached the village. The further they walked, the more uneasy Amiboshi became. He just wanted to turn around and leave that place. But Suboshi would not be very happy about it. So he just kept on walking, trying to calm his unsettling stomach. But that was in vain when they reached a certain point in the village.
"Otouto!" gasped out as he caught sight of the fallen soldiers on the ground. He could feel his heart racing as he looked around to see several burnt marks around. Well there was only person they knew that could do such attacks. He turned to look at Suboshi, a concerned look in his eyes. Now was the next question, where was the woman who did this?

Nakago had been a soldier in the Kutou army for so long, scenes like this did not even phase him, but he needed to start taking into account that she might not be as able to handle such things.
"It is no coincidence that you encountered Soi just before all of this happened."
He said as he led them to the entrance of the inn.
He pushed the doors open and surveyed the insides, almost empty, but not empty enough.
"All of you...get out of here...I am taking this inn in the name of the Seiryuu no Miko and as the Shogun of Kutou. Remain at your own risk."
He lay Soi temporarily on one of the tables and spoke to the innkeeper who was readying himself to leave as well.
"Take the horse that is out front to the stables and bring food water and spare cloths before you leave."
He stepped back out and held out his hands to help Yui off the horse.
"M'Lady."
At the moment, they would still be in sight of the approaching bandit and the Boshi twins.

Kouji was relieved when they stopped at an inn, now he'd have a chance to get to Yui! What if the shogun attacked him or something though? "Gah I should've stopped her from going with him in the first place!" he scolded himself.
He headed towards the inn door wondering how he should handle things. Should he be civil and peaceful? Should he just burst in hoping surprise would work and someone how run for it with Yui? Decisions, decisions. "Knock knock! Who's there? Why it's the best bandit in the world Kouji that's who! Alright Kouji nice to see you, come on in. Why thank-you!" He opened the door.

Soi's condition was the only thing that prevented Yui from glancing back over to the burnt bandits and she simply assumed the convoy back there would take care of those that happened to survive. She slightly quirked a brow at the coincidence remark with a rather curious expression planted on her face. Her eyes widened in startlement at Nakago's words the moment he surveyed the inn.
Why was he kicking everyone out?! That wasn't necessary. All they needed was two rooms at the most, not the entire inn but before she could have any say in the matter, everyone immediately obliged. It was amazing the way everyone followed his orders as if he were of royal blood and for a moment, her eyes locked with his as he held out his hands to her.
"Seiryuu no Miko?" Yui softly asked as she gingerly took his offering hands so he could help her down. Her attention on that matter didn't last very long the moment her feet touched the ground and her eyes layed on the fallen Soi in which she was quick to be at the woman's side. From the looks of it, the most Soi seemed to suffer from was pure exhaustion and her eyes blankly fell on the door as a knock was heard as well as a familiar voice before the familiar figure invited himself in.
"Ah Kouji, everything is under control now. Soi's in our care." Yui brightly reassured before her thoughts drifted about the whereabouts of his friend. Did the guards get his friend under control. She wasn't exactly sure what had happened and even if his friend was bad news, Kouji definately wasn't. Part of her still had trouble believing that he was a bandit.

"You have a lot of nerve following us here." Nakago spoke coldly after Yui finished speaking with Kouji. "If it were not for the lady's apparent association with you, I would kill you right now. Do not think for one moment that I did not pick up on your relationship to the bandit we had in custody, who happens to be one of the Suzaku Seven...who has made attempts to disrupt relations between the empires of Konan and Kutou, and has killed many Kutou Soldiers with his...fiery temper."
He stepped about so that he was between Kouji in front, and Yui and Soi behind, not obscuring view, but clearly barring the way.
"And we cannot rule out your proximity to these brigands who attacked Soi, either."
His eyes glared down on Kouji.
"As the Shogun of the armies of Kutou, and Celestial warrior of Seiryuu, I am bound to protect the priestess when she appears...Now that this has happened, Kutou can be restored and saved from the state it is in and headed for, and then, the four Kingdoms can be united. I reccomend that you...and the Suzaku Seven, Stay out of our way.
