Inmetsu stiffened somewhat but relaxed after a few seconds. "I wasn't planning on going anywhere, actually." He was lying. "Go back to sleep. Mothers need their rest."

Daichi opened both of her eyes and stared hard at Inmetsu, "Don't bullsh*t me, Inmetsu. I know you are lying to me, tell me where you were planning on going!" - is what she would have liked to have said. Daichi managed out a sigh and shook her head, "Fine. But if you leave in the middle of the night and leave some f*cking note that says some weird sh*t that makes no sense, I'll hunt you down myself!" - is something else she would have liked to say but didn't. "You better keep you're promise, Inmetsu," she said simply, turning to face his back before closing her eyes to sleep.

Inmetsu simply nodded and slumped into his chair, waving his hand over the candle on his desk to extinguish the light before placing a cup of tea to his lips and taking a long sip. Yet again, not poisoned.

Rein began to whine in her sleep; wiggling and kicking her legs, very close to waking her brother up.
Daichi rolled over, sensing that something was wrong but didn't wake up from her sleep.

Inmetsu set his cup of tea down and walked over to the crib and picked up Rein; she stopped and snuggled into him. "What is wrong, little one?" He went over to the window and opened the blinds a bit, watching the moon in the sky. Something was definitely on his mind.

Daichi poked Inmetsu's cheek, then waited. When he didn't wake up she pitched his cheek, pulling it slightly before letting go; again he did not wake up. "Hm... Geez you can be a heavy sleeper when you want to," Daichi shifted in her position in Inmetsu's lap, she'd woken to find him holding a sleeping Rein while he snoozed himself. Of course after she put her child back with her brother she felt annoyed that Inmetsu was still asleep. Leaning against her long time teammates chest she tried to think of ways to wake him up, before something clicked in her head. It didn't sound like her at all, nor did she think that Inmetsu would approve of it but it sounded amusing in her head.
"Inmetsu~," she called out sweetly while leaning towards his ear, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Koi, it's time for you to awaken."

"Only because the curtains are drawn," she shifted in Inmetsu's lap before standing up at his side, "I doubt it will be night anymore if I draw them back." Daichi stretched her arms up before letting them fall, "But then again, who wants to be awake at this hour?... Nevermind..." She sighed clearly troubled by something, "I'll leave you alone."

"I could ask you the same thing," Daichi retorted a little harsher than she intended. She shook her head and sighed, "I'm sorry, it's just... Not that you were much open about what you were feeling... Like most ninja really... Oh, that's a rule isn't it?... I don't know, but lately it seems that I get this strange feeling in my chest that also makes me want to say that I lov-!" Daichi stopped herself before laughing awkwardly and forcefully, "Ha ha ha, where did that come from?!"

Daichi coughed and blushed before turning toward her bed and stopped, "At least my words are doing something..."
((Edit: Wow... That was pretty harsh... I didn't even realize it was that bad until I read it again...))
