I love instrumental shtuff. 'Specially when I've just been listening to someone who sucks at singing.

Maybe it's Me - Ingram Hill

If I'm on the computer, it's pretty much guaranteed that I'm wearing headphones - mostly to block out my family, but partly to block out the TV in the background and the dog barking.

This song is kind of sad, but then, this entire CD is kind of sad. It's good to listen to when I'm in a vaguely sad mood, though...kind of comforting in a weird way. *shrug* Iunno. I get weird when it's almost 2 in the morning.

Theme From Reading Rainbow - Uhm...a lady. >__>;;

I was feeling semi-nostalgic and wanted to listen to theme songs from shows I love/used to watch when I was younger.
People watched Barney when they were younger, I watched Reading Rainbow. (plusbarney, but shhh.)
I love the host on it. I'd totally read a book with him. heart
I like this song because the chick's voice just sounds very nice and soulful...y. It makes me think of simpler times. :D

"I can do anything! Just take a look, it's in a book, with Reading Rainbow...."

...those very well could be the wrong words, but I remember the tune. =) I loved that show.

Outside - Staind

...I like Staind. That's about all.

I never watched those kiddie shows when I was a kiddie. Beavis and Butthead all the way! >3 I loved the music videos at the end. xD

I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) - Meatloaf

"And maybe I'm lonely, that's all I'm qualified to be"

This song is great when I'm feeling down. I've yet to figure out why, though.. maybe it's the ending, or how I feel I relate to the above quote 95% of the time. :'D

I was one of 3 of the 30 kids in my class who openly admitted to watching Barney. You know half of those kids were only trying to be cool. ;D

Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.

My sister got me the album, Demon Days, for my birthday. It's a very weird album, but very interesting. You'd expect that from DJ Danger Mouse though [famous for illegally mixing tracks from the Beatle's White Album and tracks from Jay-Z's Black Album to make "The Gray Album," which my boyfriend happens to really like]... from what I hear, he was one of the producers.

It sounds darker than their first album, but just as crazy, upbeat, and eccentric. I really like it, but it seems that everyone says something different about it.

Anyhow, Feel Good Inc. goes on repeat a lot. heart

"Feel Good Inc." wore out for me so fast. DX Still love "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead", "Kids With Guns", "Last Living Souls", and... a couple others though.

She Sends Kisses - The Wrens

They've been around for awhile, but it seems like no one knows about 'em. As for sound, I suppose you could liken them to the Pixies a bit, but that's the only thing I can really think of at the moment. Kudos to 'em for not goin' for the money though. Definitely worth checking out.

I still need to get that CD/download the songs from it. Eh heh. -is shot-

Ghost love Score - Nightwish

Ohmygod. <333 I LOVE the choral parts in this song. Or whatever it's called when you have that spiffy choir singing separately from the main singer. Kyaaa. >w< "My fall will be for you/ My love will be in you/ If you be the one to cut me/ I'll bleed forever" with Tarja stretching out "My fall will be for you" over it all. -continues gushing/squealing/fangirling-

DUDE. I was just listening to that song when I clicked on this topic, and by the time it loaded it'd switched to the next song on my random thing. o.o
And I totally agree. I love love love the harmonies and such in that song. The part you mentioned is probably my favorite part of the song, but the entire thing is nifty. They've got such good guitars and such.

Anywho.

Everything - Lifehouse

This song is one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard, but it's really sad at the same time. If a guy sang this to me, even just randomly off-key out of nowhere, I'd be so happy.
...and yet sad at the same time, 'cause it's a sad song. Somehow.
Maybe it's 'cause I listened to this song quite a bit before my guy asked me out - when I was positive he liked another girl. And I listen to it when I'm pissed off at him.

...yeah, that's probably why.

Some of their videos are freakin' awesome, too. <33 It's such a shame they kicked Tarja out, even if she was focusing more on profit than music. Hopefully they'll find an awesome replacement..

Listening to: Breathing - Lifehouse

Oh, this is how I feel every time I call him. Why can't he realize that I'm just happy to be talking to him, and he doesn't need to give me anything? I mean, yeah, it's really sweet that he says he does it because he wants to.. but.. still. He never mentioned anything until he got the Christmas present I sent him, and then he was all "Now I really have to buy you something for Christmas!" I feel like an obligation or something. Oh well. I'll just sneak him something on Valentine's.

Ahaha. Lifehouse. *highfives* Gotta love them. =)

Yuh, it does kind of suck about Tarja getting kicked out, but I heard somewhere that she wasn't even rehearsing with the rest of them anymore - I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, I can't say I blame them. It's damn near impossible to give a good performance if you've got people in the group that won't practice with you and the performance is one of the first times you do a song together. It usually turns out pretty ick.
Iunno. I'll still probably listen to Nightwish whenever they get their replacement vocals, but I can't help but hope that it doesn't change too much.

...I have to go find a Nightwish video now. *is a loser and hasn't seen any*

currently listening to ~ Weezer: Perfect Situation
I love the opening to this song. Weezer's got really good guitars. I don't care for the singer's voice quite as much as other singers, but the fact that he plays guitar and drums and keyboard and sings not only lead but backup, too, makes me respect him.
Pluswhich it was really awesome seeing them live. They're really good, live...I was expecting them to be about ten times worse. Hearing those guitars live rocked.

Without a doubt. x3

I don't remember where I originally found the article (probably Wiki), but here it is from the English Nightwish page. That's what happened when my school attempted to put the band, orchestra, and choir together for the Winter concert a few years ago. Disaster is an uuunderstatement.. I really hope they'll be able to find someone good to replace her, not just fill in. Nightwish is too good to die over someone's ego.

I found three or four on Ares, 'cause Limewire sucks like that. ):

Listening to: Missed Me - The Dresden Dolls

This take on that older-than-the-hills munchkin song OWNS. So funny, and they only use drums, piano, and Amanda's voice. <3 It really goes to show how quickly things can get out of hand from a simple little miss and kiss. (:

Ouch. Just...ouch. That had to hurt, but by some of the things they mentioned in the letter, it seems like she had to know it was coming.
I don't know how they put up with that for so long...I would've kicked her out a lot sooner, personally.

System of a Down - Chop Suey!

I listen to this song so much. I can even remember the first time I heard it - at the Sadie Hawkins dance freshman year - because I just stopped talking, right in the middle of a sentence, to listen to it. It's one of those songs I can't listen to quietly; I have to have it loud enough to hear all the instruments and harmonies and such. Everything just fits together so wonderfully.
When I'm on a rollercoaster, doing something that scares the s**t out of me, or just nervous as all hell, I'll sing the "Father into your hands, I commend my spirit" part - under my breath if there's people around, but if I'm alone I sing as loud as I can. It really helps calm me down.

Bombs Over Baghdad - Outkast

This is probably my favorite Outkast song. Fast songs are my favorite kind, because it makes me feel awake and happy. I like figuring out what they say before looking it up. It makes me feel smart.

The beginning music ( I am a SUCKER for the beginning. If the beginning in a song is good, I know that I'll probably LOVE that song. To me, beginnings are the most important part. O: ) is just so upbeat and fantastic. And the video makes me giggle everytime for some reason. I love Outkast.

And whenever I see the Chappelle's Show skit where he's like, "Stankonia agreed to drop bombs over baghdad." it makes me laugh obnoxiously hard.

Plus, anyone who doesn't like this song even a little bit is just a touch less cool to me. O:!

Tenacious D - Wonderboy

Tenacious D never fails to cheer me up and make me laugh. They're just so...ridiculous. =) And they're pretty damn good, too.
Yeah, some of their songs make me cringe a little bit, but more than that I just can't stop laughing.
