Cyrus was so astonished that he stopped putting energy into his shield. "It seems meathead is strong enough to use lightning as his own weapon. Never thought ol' meathead had it in him." Cyrus said, as if to himself. Those of the water tribe began to fall left and right. 'Twould be a crime for men of this caliber to just leave upon finding one stronger than theirselves, so they futily continued their onslaught.

"But, Ari, look at the shiney lightning. It's so shiney." Cyrus continued to stare at the lightning as it continued to destroy the members of the 8th squad.

As soon as the knives passed through the barrier Cyrus knew what was going to happen. As quick as he could, he gathered fire energy around his body and spread it out. But by the time his counter was ready, Damien was struck. The embers that surrounded his body couldn't form fast enough to deflect a weapon this late. Knowing that the lightning was going to stop, Cyrus gathered up even more energy to increase the range of this attack. He felt ashamed that shinies distracted him so and that he hadn't thought of this maneuver earlier in the fight.

With tears streaming out of Cyrus' eyes, the flames that surrounded him turned to lighter colors until it was almost out of the human's spectrum of sight. As heat increases a flame's visibility decreases. He now had more power in these embers than he had ever needed.
"Rotation of flames" Cyrus cried out.
Cyrus began to spin, and the embers flew away from his body. It created a new hight to barriers. As Cyrus began to spin quicker, the embers flew further away, and spun with him. In almost an instant, the embers turned into a high velocity rotation as they continued to spread out further from his body.

Full of the rage of two people, Cyrus used the fire around him to travel in almost an instant in front of another water user who Ari hadn't yet killed. It just happened that this was the one that killed Damien.
"You shouldn't have done that." Cyrus said to the petrified assassin. He grabbed his throat and lifted the water tribesman into the air. "For you see, I am an avenger."
His grip tightened as the man began to struggle fruitlessly. Cyrus' smile widened in what some may consider insanity. His eyes seemed to flash like a bolt of lightning as a nice snapping sound occured. The tribesman went limp as his neck broke under the severe strain from this emense power. Cyrus then turned around while holding the man in place in the air as much as he could, then followed through by throwing him to the ground. A dark red glow temporarily surrounded Cyrus before his sanity slowly started to come back to him.

Cyrus started towards Ari. The luster of sanity returning to his eyes, and sending as much emotion he could into the armor. His aura of flame was noticable, and he couldn't control it. Though the aura was strong around him, he himself felt weak. He felt as though he hadn't the strength to walk all the way to Ari, and yet his aura shone with the strength known of generals. It was as if destiny was chosing him to take Damien's place as general of this battalion, as if this path was laid before him so his power as an avenger would shine forth as it was supposed to.

Cyrus' armor shone brightly, as if a great flame has ignited inside of it. It changed again. Bigger, thicker, and briming with untapped power. He was learning his purpose as his sanity grew. His aura grew as his power did, until he collapsed next to ari. His armor began to resonate with his soul as he saw images of more death he must endure. What must happen and what he cannot prevent. He saw all his friends, his family, all that he treasured dead, and Ari being the only one he knows of to live. An avenger must always feel pain. An avenger must never fight for himself. An avenger shall not act untill what he wants protected dies. An avenger is destined to die in battle, and is only allowed a single selfless wish.
These things passed through his mind as he lay sleeping on the ground.

Cyrus lay asleep. He knew not if these voices in his head were telling truth or lies, but he had to accept them in case they were, for he is an avenger. The nurses didn't feel the need to strap him down, for he didn't show any signs of insanity as Ari did. But, unknown to all but him, scares were begining to form. Their orgin is unknown, for he never recieved cuts in these particular places. In fact, the areas where he had been cut and should've scarred where getting healed at an abnormally fast rate.
