Khenu involuntarily squeaked at Saradin's tone towards him, and clapped off the remaining ash on his hands. Covering his mouth with his hands to keep another sound from coming out he merely walked over to where Aura stood, opting for the road she had taken, to stay relatively quiet but observe.

Eclipse nuzzled Bastet's arm. 'But you're alright now? This presence I feel, what Saradin's speaking of, I don't like it at all, and you shouldn't risk yourself if you're still hurt.'
Aura looked down next to her at Khenu, and placed and hand on his shoulder. She looked to Saradin for a moment. "This is going to be worse than before, isn't it Saradin?" She already knew the answer, she was just confirming herself.

"Much worse." His eyes never left the outside, surveying what could become his grave site. "The entire area is being blanketed with shadowstuff. She's bringing the two planes to almost the same place. That means that even shadows she isnt commanding will join simply for their bloodlust, and that more may appear from any direction. There will be few if any safe places during this."

Khenu had raised a hand up to hold tight at Aura's wrist by this point. "Um, excuse me...but how do you fight a shadow?" He blinked, truly perplexed to the concept of fighting a shadow, as far as he knew, shadows weren't tangible.

Aura cast a glance to Eclipse. The wolf certainly had his work cut out for him. He did have the ability to manipulate shadows to an extent, maybe he would prove very useful in the protection aspect. "I figured as much."

((Aura. I still don't know if your participating in the tournament or not.))
Vik was in the courtyard, preparing for the Tourney. He placed crystals around in a circle. In the middle, layed the lightbulb shaped sword he had removed from his vualt some time earlier.
"Let's see, that's 8...9...10 crystals. There we go. Any time now..."
Munalisk, who has been chasing crickets, stopped and flew over by Vik.
"What are you doing?"
"Wait for it..."
The sword in the middle glowed and then there was a flash. A large, transparent dome appeared in front of him.
"Nice isn't it. Now I won't have to clean up after anything. This thing is indestructable. Care to try it out?"
Munalisk took a deep breath and blew some fire on the dome. The flames were absorbed by the walls and there was nothing but some ripples like when a stone hits the water.
"Ok. But if it's indestructable, how do you get in and out?"
"You say the secret word. Mercy."
There was a small crack and the the barrier dissapeared.
"Com'n. Let's go tell the others."

"I'm alright now, just suffering from blood loss and scarring," She showed him her arm.
Bastet pulled out her modified sai, glad that she had gone ahead and done it herself. She worried about what would happen to Khenu once the fight commenced and listened quietly.

"They'll be mostly real enough. Solid darkness, sharp claws, vicious hatred." Saradin then turned his back to the scene beyond the door. "You must be Khenu. Please, keep yourself safe." Then he looked to Aura and the others. "That goes for everyone here."

She nodded to Saradin. "I'll watch him." Someone had to take complete responsibility for him. Sure the boy was attached to Bastet but Bastet was a better fighter than herself, and a self-healer, she stood more chance against these things than Aura herself would.

Khenu gulped and tightened his grip on Aura's wrist as well as his boomerang in his other hand. These things sounded like something he dreamed about in his nightmares, they weren't actually supposed to be real and come get you.

Vik walked up to Saradin and the others.
"Hey erverybody! I just finished setting up the arena for the tourney so..."
He saw everybodys scared and concerned faces.
"Ok. What's happening. What did I miss?"

"Please do. She's building a barrier as well, to seal this place off from the outside and bring it closer to the shadow plane. It's only reenforcing her control of the situation. Once the fight begins, it will have to be torn down before we can win." Already trying to form strategies in his head, Saradin was trying to guess Catherine's attack plan and work his own.

Eclipse made his rounds. Going from person to person. First Bastet, then Saradin, giving him a nudge as he passed. On to Vik, giving him a once over look then finally to where Aura and Khenu stood. He nuzzled Aura's arm and she obliged him by scratching his ears. Switching sides, he nuzzled Khenu's shoulder in an effort to keep him calm.

Khenu put his boomerang away, and raised the free hand to Eclipse's fur and intended to pet him but refrained when he noticed tiny blue sparks in his hand again, making the wolf's fur stand on end where he held his hand over.
Looking at his other hand as he started feeling a tingle there he noticed the metal bracelet that encircled Aura's wrist. After a brief moment of panic he pulled his hand from her wrist, the other away from Eclipse and shoved them both in his pockets.

Bastet looked at Khenu, "Calm down, and no matter what happens, don't try to use something you can't control." She nodded to him and put a hand on his shoulder, "We can do this."
