NYCC has given us a nice little warm up for Toy Fair next week. There's good, there's bad, and there's ugly coming up in the next year.

First, the ugly:



That's right, it's Naked Catwoman Wearing a Bib.


Here's the good:



Dan Akroyd! Harold Ramis! This looks AMAZING. I can't wait for this series. Too bad Bill Murray is so funny about licensing his likeness. My chances at creating custom STRIPES figures may never appear.

And the bad again:



Selina's not helped again by the fact that her cowl is obviously not snapped shut in the back, giving her Huge Neck, and that the cape should go over the cowl's neckline, but I'm still disappointed by this doll.

Other stuff:



Simply fantastic.



Why yes, that is a Rastafarian Michaelangelo.

They didn't have the Black Lantern figures out at Comic Con, just that they would be made (Superman Earth 2 and Martian Manhunter). D: I was hoping they would like more phantom-y, and astral-y, rather than zombified. sad

And why is Kryb getting a figure? x_X Like, seriously?

I like the new ame-comi catwoman doll actually. She's way better looking than the previous one for a start, and aside from the weird green eyes on the boobs, I think this enters far more into the spirit of the line. I think my greatest issue with these is that they're not taking the obvious route one should take. Yes, Catwoman is sexy, but she's a sexy NINJA.

The Tonner doll, however, gives me hope. If you take all her clothes off, she really has an absolutely stunning head (and it looks like all Linda's complaints about cape were fixed).



THAT is what I'm talking about! I'm surprised no one brought up the worst part of the offending costume. It's lilac for god's sake. You can't ninj around the rooftops in a color best suited for a sweet 16 party or an infant's bedroom. I'm hoping we're going to get a better varient costume out there. A decent evening gown doll maybe? Or a varient costume? Even Ivy is getting a varient costume/skin tone. Although frankly, she looks like a man in drag.
