Tivia moved subtly behind Demetri, finally registering the thought about 'getting the girl, unharmed.' Though she knew Fi wasn't part of some evil scheme, it still revealed, possibly, part of Dekarian's motives. And there was no way in hell she was going with him.
"Keep our lives? Do you know who we've faced recently?" She asked it as a rather bold question and then shrunk back behind Demetri, keeping her mouth shut.

[Tivia, dearheart, it is alright. We know. He is only saying that to get to you. Be at ease.] Firaer sends these thoughts for everyone in the group to hear, as well as the trusting, comforting feelings behind the words. With each sentance uttered by the obviously disturbed man, she allows the group to see and feel deeper and more of her soul. She does this so that they can see her intentions are pure-nothing like he insinuates. Ever so calmly, she replies to Dekarian's foul insinuations. "I would never put my friends, my family under the thrall of spells. Neither would I win their trust, respect, or love by such false means. What untruths do ye speak of, these so called promises I made ye? I did no such thing, nor do I hold hostages. What do ye take me for exactly, child? What deity treated ye so poorly that ye would lie about one ye know not?" By this point, her soul is laid bare to all the group, so they see all and know all about Firaer, except the rage she feels toward this liar. She lets her comrads know it's there, but does not expose them to the turmoil. Firaer is also careful not to burn their minds and souls with her divine nature. Also, she is blindly trusting Alphonse and Thamalas not to take advantage of her openness.

Utilizing the spell that Firaer had cast that linked everyone's mind, Demetri taps into Tivia's mind, speaking to her alone. Don't worry, Tivia. I would believe everything you say. Right afterwards, Demetri steps forward, drawing his blades and glancing at his brother.
"I'm tired of this idle chatter. Are you, brother?" Demetri's voice was irritated, obviously tired of listening to Dekarian's lies.
"Indeed, I do think it's time to shut him up." Alphonse grins, returning the glance to Demetri. Grasping his blade with both hands, yheir brotherly bond showed even stronger now. Standing side by side now, there was barely any difference between the two, except the fact that their weapons and clothing was different.
"You can't forget about me, General." Thamalas stepped forward, his polearm in hand. "I fight for whatever you fight for." His voice may have been small, but it was as solid as a rock.

"Oh, i wouldn't do that just yet if i were you." He produces a large blue crystal and held it up for them to see. "Are you familiar with a soul trap gem? It has this wonderful ability to take the souls of the fallen and store them inside, and then, you can use them as a power source for magic." Dekarian gives a wide smile as he hooks the gem to a necklace and places it around his neck.
"Many bodies about, but not a soul to be found... I wonder where they went? I think I'll use this gem to be my shielding, so that every strike and spell you bring against me, you are destroying any hope of ressurection of your men. Isn't that just a wonderful use of your men?" Dekarian's look was one of pure joy, as he smiled at the three armsmen.
"Since you've given me a good bit of entertainment, if you give me your blade, i'll even return the souls of everyone who has fallen today to you! Then you can ressurect them... or use thier power however you want. Am I not generous?"

Although she doesn't show it, Firaer is quite alarmed. She is sure that the rest of the group can sense that very clearly. [Stand down, please! That crystal is an abomination! I must contact the pantheon now. They must know about this, especially if they have claim to any of the souls he has trapped.] Her thoughts urgently spill into the minds of the others. They "see" her reaching deep within herself to activate the link to the pantheon. This link is so deep, that no outside force can sense it is there, and none but one of the divine can hear it's call. She senses a listening presents, and she sends forth every scrap of information about the situation to them. The palpable silence in the link is full of every emotion from stunned suprise to rage. Almost as one, the gods agree with their fledgling sister that something must be done. Some would back her from their place on high, others would join her in avatar form, and still yet others would do nothing, to see what the fledge would do with all this help. None of this Firaer kept fom her friends. The only outward change is a slight smile on her face, and a fire in her eyes. To keep the vile blasphemer occupied, she ask this of him: "Why do ye wish the weapon?"

The three of them stop in a heartbeat. The brothers sheath their weapons as Thamalas lets his polearm droop. They stayed as alert as ever, but obeyed the goddess's words.

" 'Tis a dark magic, the stealin' of souls," Cade murmered beneath his breath, listening to the song of Olidammara more intently. But there is no greater theif than the Laughing Rogue. Olidammara comes to challange. Cade faded back into the realm of shadows, existing between the essence of life and death. This place was not like the void, lifeless and cold. There were creatures of shadow, fearful beings that could not pass through to either side of the barrier.
But Cade passed amoung them as though born in the realm, protected from its creatures by his God. He could still see the world of life, and positioned himself in the air above Dekarian. Inacting three spells around himself, he prepared the way for Olidammara. First, invisibility, one undetectable by any save the God's Sent, for what was a thievery when the item stolen was going to be looked for. Second, he created a spell safe area around himself, allowing him to move through protective wards as if they weren't there, but only for a short period of time. Lastly, he placed holding spells around himself, allowing anything he designated to be replaced with an item he held on his person.
In the realm of shadow, he created a mock item, identical to the soul gem worn by Dekarian in every facet, save the fact that the gem had no souls in it, and when used simply sent a stream of joyful, boisterous music. It was Olidammara's signature, for the Laughing Rogue was always fond of music.
He approached Dekarian, though it would be impossible to detect a movment in the realm that he was in, and placed his hands next to the soul gem. The shift was sudden, with Cabe returning to the mortal realm, his fingers milimeters away from touching the soul gem. The item would be imediately switched out with the mock soul gem in his pouch, and until Dekarian used it, he would never know the differance. The soul gem around Dekarian's neck would be transported to a back of negation, one that negated any spell effects placed on the item, such as returning.

Firaer inwardly smiles. Olidammara had let her Know what his favored servant was doing. Inwardly, she relaxes. Her mind sings her thanks to the god of rogues. [Do not let your outward appearance reflect what I am about to tell you. It is good news.] She allows the knowledge to pass to her friends. Slowly, she notices several Avatars appearing around them. She lets no indication of this show in her body language. Let him be suprised. Quietly, calmly, she repeats her question. "Why do ye wish the weapon?"

Dekarian sensed the dissappearence of the halfling, but lost track of him after that. Seeing the sheathing of thier weapons he knew he had some leverage over them. "So will you accept my deal?" he asked of the general. "Your blade for the lives of your comrades, and the souls of your fallen."
He saw the goddess' eyes glow with challenge and smiles back at her. "To use it to make a weapon that will shatter the abyss, freeing us from the clutches of vile devils and demons below." He laughed a bit as if he had made a joke. "I was asked to retrieve the thing by my employer, and so I shall."
He turned again to regard the general, "My patience wearies. I'll have your answer."

Immediately, Cabe returned to the shadows, laughing loudly at his success. It was a strange sound in the realm, but Olidammara sent his pleasure to his servent. Cabe fingered the gem in through his pouch and smiled. Walking through the realm, he set himself behind the avatar of the Good Goddess of the Drow. He did not return to the mortal plane, as he had exausted a great deal of his protective spells in his travels. Only the will of Olidammara protected him from the shadow creatures now, and he was content with that.
Still, he smiled. It was a great sucess to steal a gem in broad daylight from a magician. And he felt a giddy sucess, the feeling of being accomplished at what one did. Praise Olidammara.

Alphonse only appears to become angered more by Dekarian's statements. "What does my mother's blade have to do with this!" He was always defensive over his weapon, never letting it out of his grasp in a fight.
Mothers blade? After looking at it for a moment, he recognizes the blade. "You won't have it," Demetri stated firmly. "If it is indeed Mother's, it's as much mine as it is his."

"I care not for such details, the blade carries an interesting enchantment that my employer wishes to examine. Beyond that I cannot say, nor do I know." Dekarian didn't show even the slightest hint of surprise as the gem around his neck began to give off a faint sign of magic, where there was none at all. He scryed the gem and found the magic of the song in it, and gave an inward chuckle.
Someone went through all the trouble to steal a worthless gem. A chosen of Olidammara if I had my guess, that halfling before reeked of him. Dekarian wordlessly wove an enchantment about himself that would slay through wards the next time someone tried to take something off his person.
The halfing is probabbly working with them, so we might want to show them just how firm a grasp we have. Dekarian helds his hand out and coaxed forth energy in the form of ten souls and let them circle around his hand. Even though the souls were blank, with no personality, they were identical in every way to a real soul. The only way for them to know is if they get ahold of one, and try to use it as a focus for ressurection.
Dekarian then wrapped a spell around the floating souls, preventing anyone but him and him alone from manipulating them. "In addition to just using those souls to protect me, I can use them to fuel powerful magics. Magics that can be used to slay your friends or even you for example. Are they worth clinging to a weapon for?"

Tivia watched the exchange, once again keeping her mouth shut and just taking things in. She heard the words of the goddess, but did as she was told and did not let anything show on her face. Keeping her composure, she peeked from around where she had still been somewhat behind Demetri, standing firmly on her own and glaring at the imposter. Using the link between herself and the others, she tapped directly to Alphonse and Demetri. I don't like him... at all. Get him out of here before I do.
It was then that the girl looked down to her hands that had been clenched into fists. A bright green, but still relatively faint, glow had formed around them, causing Tivia to quickly move her hands behind her back. Knowing the goddess was somewhere behind her, she linked to her now and tapped directly, My hands are glowing... what's going on?

Nunia had just watched throughout everything, letting the goddess be in charge without question. Noticing Tivia's movement, she looked at Firaer questioningly.

As the dark one was speaking, the gods and goddesses had manifested in avatar form. These were but the first of many to arrive. Aerdrie Faenya, Corellon Larethian, his wife Sehanine Moonbow, Dalt, Hanali Celanil, Phaulkon, Rillifane Rallathil, Trithereon, and Olidammara all surround them. Firaer sends a feeling of gratefulness to each, and maintains her outward silence as others arrive. To everyone she sends the knowledge of what avatar was who, then proceeds to answer Tivia and Nunia's questions. [Tivia, part of that is your feelings manifesting, the other part is a reaction from being surrounded by such power.]
