Because of my Lasik surgery, they needed an outside doctor consultation, which I got today. So tomorrow, they're putting me back in a Hotel so I can have my background check done on Monday, followed by "picking" my Job (Which will take all of 10 seconds, since I already have a letter of acceptance from a Unit) and then the swearing in ceremony. I ought to be an actual member of the Armed Forces by Monday night.

Keyword: Ought. Beaurocracy has a funny habbit of making things not happen.

Well, for now, I'm joining the Army Reserve. There are no combatant jobs in the Reserve, so instead of riding around in a Tank, I'm going to be joining Millitary Intelligence.

I'll either be analyzing enemy forces and positions for weaknesses, or doing Counter Intelligence (See also: Lying). At least until I learn Arabic. Then I'm gonna see if I can switch my job to Interrogation. twisted

I'm not going Active Duty until I get my Officer commission in about 3 years. THEN I'll ride around in a tank. 3nodding
