Yuki_Yoshida Fantasy Moon I'd like to have a Disney party, but I don't think I could get anyone to share the fun with me... I'm fortunate that all my friends are disney freaks like me Currently most of my friends are Japanese anime freaks. I could probably get them to watch one Disney movie, but that'd probably be it.

Well except for my boyfriend, the animation major. He and I actually have intellectual Disney discussions and he suggests that we raid my Disney collection for movie nights. It's fantastic to have someone who appreciates Disney as much as I do.

speaking of Disney and Anime...
Does anybody else think that Gargoyles would be kick a** as an anime?

It reminds me of the argument I had with one of my younger nephews. He's a total J-animephile and was dissin' Disney, saying it wasn't as good for the most ridiculous reasons (i.e. Mickey doesn't "cuss"). Hah! If it wasn't for Disney there'd be little demand for what he so fiercely advocates.

The Heat radical jojo But.... Gargoyles is already an animation. I know that, but I said anime you know, Japanese animation, like Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Lain, stuff like that. Stuff like what? There's as much variety in Japanese pop culture as there is in Western pop culture. "Anime" is just the Japanese word (derived from the French, by the way) for "animation" and it means all animation, from flipbooks to highly rendered CG feature-lengths. Contrary-wise to the popular myth, there is no "anime style" and very little difference from Western film. Something related.

I finally broke down and bought the DVD of Prisoner of Azkaban. Watched all the extra features yesterday. I like chasing Scabbers as Crookshanks. The rat must die!
Next on my list to buy is The Incredibles and season one of The Pretender. 3nodding
