Minna chuckles softly at this as she flips another pancake onto a stack. And people wonder why she buys light, cheap pans...she'd like to see really flipping going on with those heavy things. "A little milk would be lovely, Miss Mara."

"Okay!" Mara wiggles her nose, and fixes Minna's tea with a thought. This freaking powerful stuff is pretty convenient at breakfast, it seems. "I will set it on the table for you. Thank you so much for sharing your home with me! It must be a little goofy for you, to share with a pretty she-man and a giant housecat." She sips her own tea, wiggles her hips a bit. Ooh! That's good.

"It's...different," Minna admits. She laughs softly. "But that's okay. Life should be interesting if nothing else. It's my pleasure to have both of you, Mara."

Mara sips her tea again, red eyes focusing upon Minna's crutches for a second. "Nothing sucks like limited mobility," she notes, "do... you want me to try and fix it for you?" She looks up, knowing that it had been an abrupt change in subject. "For letting me stay and not making fun of my ears."

Minna blinks. She genuinely doesn't understand, and just flips another pancake onto the pile. "Fix what, Miss Mara? My leg isn't broken, it's just not there, and hasn't been since I was three." She does smile, though. It's not hard, really...she just figures there's been some kind of misconception, and doesn't think another thing of it. "And besides, like I said, I think your ears are cute." She grins, and sips her own tea. "This is very good."

Mara beams, but shakes her head. "No, Minna, I meant..." she blinks. Should she interfere in this woman's life like this? "Can I ask you something? If you could have both your legs, just hypothetically, would you want that? Hypothetically."

Minna's quiet at this. Considering what Mara's already proven herself capable of...and considering all the "impossible" things that she's seen in the last two days...that many "hypothetical-ies" in a sentence means something. She just cooks, for several very long seconds. "Well...hypothetically, of course...having two legs would make my life easier in just about every facet other than explaining it to my family and doctor. I would be able to drive, for example." Her right leg's the gimped one, and she's not ridiculously wealthy enough to have a car with the pedals reversed. "Well. would you like some pancakes? Hypothetically?"

Mara rises from her chair. She doesn't really like Minna's way of putting that, but... she doesn't like unhappiness, either.
"Now," Mara grins, "I will have pancakes in a minute. I hope you do not mind a woman touching you." The Serinian kneels behind Minna, takes the stump leg between her clawed hands. A deep red glow swirls outwards from her hand as she begins the difficult task of restoring a limb that has been gone for a very long time.

Minna's heart is rather in her throat, and she stands very still...she feels ridiculous to even hope, but just can't help it.

Mara closes her eyes and puts a bit more energy into it. Pain numbing spells surround the nub, as it will have to break open to reattach the new limb, but Mara is good at those nowadays. She had learned them from Felina between bouts of naked Solitaire in which only Mara had ended up naked. The leg forms slowly, but certainly, within moments. Mara sits back, admiring her better-than-usual work.
"There," she whispers, "now you can kick someone in the butt."

Minna stares...just stares. "Mara...oh my god, you..." she's absolutely speechless. Then...laughs. Just, laughs, eyes sparkling with emotion. She doesn't know how to feel, or what to say. "I can't believe...eep!" She'd tried to step on the leg and almost falls, probably will if a certain feline doesn't catch her. It doesn't have the muscle to some extent...but, mostly, she's never learned to use two natural legs.

Mara, of course, snags Minna neatly. "Don't worry," she laughs as she hugs the albino, "I will take care of the hugs you owe me." Mara holds on for a moment, a little longer than it would take to keep Minna from falling, and pats her once on the shoulder as she lets go. "Probably you should practice. I did when I had my leg fixed up."

Mara shrugs, as if it was not such a major thing. "Not really. You will still be you, my love." She sits again at the table, sips some more of the high-sugar tea... quick, easy energy. It had served her pretty well already this morning.

Minna...really, truly doesn't know what to say...she's stunned. Just...stunned. She wants to run through the streets screaming, in a very real way. Instead, she flips pancakes mechanically, serving Mara a plate of pancakes, eggs, and sausage, and wondering when Yue will be up. She has no idea what his habits are, come to think of it.
