The eel stopped hissing, almost looking like it wanted to gulp. It was a child of a Lord, not one itself. It had hoped to re-kill the Fire Lord while Nox was still recovering and deep in the ocean so its father wouldn't be displeased, but seeing Chase like that ... The eel just used its two giant flippers to awkwardly flop back to the ocean, before it got killed itself. Nox heaved out a large sigh when it was gone and laid down on the gravelly volcanic beach a moment to take stalk of his injuries and dry off a bit. He carefully licked the bite marks, throat feeling sore, but at least it hadn't been completely re-torn.

CHASE
Chase softened a bit, walking over and gently touching the wound. "Do you think it needs stitches?" he asked. "Or should I just spread something on it for pain?" Obviously, being an assassin, he had wonderful knowledge of medicine. Not to mention Loren taught him, and Loren was wonderful with herbs and others natural healers.

"Just some salve or medicine to spread on it for a little bit," Nox thought, "but be careful." His white blood ran quite hot. Almost like liquid flame. He was weary from his death, return to his body, and revival. That didn't stop his white eyes from watching with sharp attention as Chase worked on his neck though.

CHASE
Chase took out some leaves, crushing them between his fingers before carefully spreading it across the cut, trying not to burn himself. A couple times his fingers brushed blood, but he never made a sound of pain. "Better, Nox?"

"Yes," Nox sighed, not wanting to nod and aggravate the injuries. He looked at Chase, gently nuzzled the assassin with his nose, and carefully licked any trace of his own blood from the elf's fingers so it wouldn't hurt him. "Can we ... stay here for a bit?" Nox really didn't want to move too much. His body felt cold after being 'dead' for so long, and he just wanted to curl up, war up, and heal.

CHASE
The assassin nodded, patting Nox's nose. "Of course we can," he murmured. "It's better for you to rest anyway. And it's nice here."

Nox sighed again, this time just a tired, relived one, and curled his body a little bit around Chase, before closing his eyes. It was either a show of exhaustion or trust by which he fell asleep rather quickly. His body was a bit more ... demonic than a normal dragon's. With black obsidian scales, a while/blue mouth that glowed as if eternally lighted by a fell flame, it wouldn't be surprising that many would take him to be a monster at first glance.

CHASE
Chase smiled a bit and sat down against Nox, relaxing back and letting his fingers trail over the scales. For him, Nox wasn't a monster. He was powerful, majestic, beautiful... Everything BUT a monster. He sat there, waiting out the night with a sleepless gaze.

Nox woke up early, his fiery blue maw yawning open as the sun was only just rising above the sea. Inspecting his throat, he found the bite wounds healed, but most of his throat still soft and scales slowly growing in. The area where his throat had been torn out would probably take its time to re-armor itself, which was a pain, but not anything painful. " Want to go back?" Nox questioned, looking at the elf with his head tilted. The Lord already knew Ignis would either be pissed or to pleased by his new dragon toy to care that he'd been gone for a full day.

CHASE
Chase got up and stretched with a yawn, looking refreshed as if he had actually slept. "I'm in for a horrible lecture by Markas, but yes, I'm ready to go back," he answered.

Nox gave a small smile, then stood. "Would you like to fly," he asked aloud, voice a bit deeper than usual but that was to be expected, "or teleport?" It felt like forever since he'd gotten to fly. Really fly.

CHASE
"Pardon me for making you work, but I've always loved to fly," Chase answered, his eyes flashing gold.

Nox chuckled, the sound a bit like fire crackling cheerily on a winter's night. "Flying isn't work," he said plainly, leaning down a bit and flattening the ridge of spikes running along his spine so Chase wouldn't risk impaling himself in a very painful place. "Not for Fire Lords."

CHASE
Chase smirked and easily jumped onto his back, shifting to a comfortable position and patting Nox's head. "I'll missing being able to hold you while on Markas, though."

Nox pondered that while giving his wings a stretch. He ... would miss that too. Maybe he could find an excuse to catch a ride on the dragon a few more times, while they were all still together. But then he took off, back legs propelling him far into the air and wings coming out to give strong flaps. It wasn't a slow accent, like a regular creature would have to do. He just flew up and up until the air was clear and he just glided, hardly having to flap his wings at all. His body was light, as if filled with hot air, and could go faster with less hassle.
