I do believe that I would enjoy my world religions class more if it weren't at 9:00 a.m. That's really too early to try and grapple the concept of Brahman.

Banshi I do believe that I would enjoy my world religions class more if it weren't at 9:00 a.m. That's really too early to try and grapple the concept of Brahman. Brahman isn't that difficult a concept. In many ways, I'm actually more comfortable with that conceptualization of a Supreme Diety than with the Christian perspective.

It didn't get really bad until we started defining Mahyana Buddhism and Therevada Buddhism on three hours of sleep.

AstralSamurai Banshi It didn't get really bad until we started defining Mahyana Buddhism and Therevada Buddhism on three hours of sleep. You don't think it's best to study Eastern Religion when your conscious mind is at it's most beaten? xp I don't think it best to work out the inner meanings of the Tao and the pseudo-dualist nature of Zoroastrianism when it's too early in the morning for me to even pronounce correctly the names of the agents involved in their prospective conquests.

What I need to remember is how it got started, how it dealt with syncretism with Buddhism and how the melding of the two led to a reactionary movement in Japan that led to Shintoism. Psssh. On a different note...
This really isn't something I do very often... This whole "asking for gold" thing. But on Wednesday/Thursday, I'm enlisting in the United States Army Reserve. Since I've always tried to make my avatar an expression of my own appearance, I've decided that I want to get the "Anti-Terror" Pants and Jacket, who's cost comes out to 6500 gold. I have 2500 gold as we speak. So... Ummmmm... If some people, that I know, and who like me would like to donate....... I'd love them forever and pay them back later. 3nodding
