Lilith Tsutomo There's also a rule about Chatterbox flaming only. I go to the "Hi, I'm new" thread all the time, and I see some people who talk about haunting the GD or ED, or other forums. Flaming massively moronic individuals only pertains to the Chatterbox. Thanks for the refresher! However, you'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) at the sheer amount of inane, unintelligible babble people spew out in ED and GD forums... it makes certainly makes my fingers twitch. It is quite a pity that we have to limit the flames to the Chatterbox, but I'll honor that rule none the less. : )

Lilith Tsutomo Just a friendly reminder to all you new members out there. domokun Thanks for making the reminder friendly! 3nodding And because I am apparently profoundly retarded, could someone define "role playing" as it pertains to the guild? I assume it means any implication of actions whatsoever, but I figured I'd ask for clarification... redface

It means nothing, and never will. It's annoying, too.

Perhaps that should be stated in the rules, in case anyone else is as stupid as myself?

We know what roleplaying is. We aren't chatterbox n00bs. But if the rules are that strict about it...
I mean, I can understand if someone when off on a crazy/mad roleplaying frenzy. That would be different. But this is the GGN Chatterbox. If we are telling a little joke and say (for instance) *runs up a hill*, who are you to stop us? I guess what I am saying, when it comes down to it, if you don't like it, too bad. Ban me - go for it. If you think that previous offence was bad enough that you have to give warnings and over-exaggerate "roleplaying", then maybe this guild is not for me.
I will not be quitting. The only way I will leave will be through a ban. But be warned - your threats mean nothing to me. I'm a heavy roleplayer myself, but any roleplaying I do in here will be minimal - a sentence or two every occasional time. If you don't like it, tough.

At the risk of finding myself bludgeoned repeatedly over the head, I have to ask this question pertaining to "role-playing":
Do things such as "*sigh*" qualify as RPing? I ask this because they seem like such minor actions/expressions that they would hardly cause much undue stress.
*Sigh* I hope I don't sound too overly moronic!

In the first post of the guild thread, there was an amendment: "If you roleplay in the guild thread, I will likely post your email address on stileproject and/or somethingawful." It made the point clear we were not supposed to roleplay in the thread. Ask dj for the precise way of thinking behind that rule, instead of getting steamed. Personally, I think roleplaying in normal posts is alright in the right place, and context within the post. The GGNG guild forum, in my eyes, isn't the right place. o.e

Perhaps the "emoticon" rule is best applied here. Only use roleplaying if it can enhance a post. Still, I think you should keep it elsewhere.

Hmmm, I just noticed something while looking through Atriz's posts:Quote: "Liz does a lot crying Chromatics, In'Obts, Skull Monkeys, Helions, and maybe more surprised I forget all she does x.X" I don't think emoticons are periods, do you guys? confused Quote: "Gah - I feel so left out ._. I didn't even get invited Oh well, I don't know how much longer I'll be on AT anyways " There were some emoticons here, but since I sent them over AIM first, they didn't show up. Once again, emoticons are replacing the periods.Quote: "Yes... Punk is dead. And life revolves around me Well, at least it should... Whatever you do, do NOT get all black." Well, what ever happened to the, "Never put "and" at the beginning of a sentence" rule?Quote: "I want too biggrin Draw draw biggrin " ... Don't get me started working on this. >_>Quote: "Put on Bear Pyjamas (B) and change his hairstyle to Brown Flow " Eep, pajamas! gonk
