Lateef nodded, "That she certainly has." He took Fianna's arm gently by the elbow to help usher her through the swarms of people all over the place. His eyes widened briefly as words drifted towards his ears. "Blueberries? No." He glanced at the Brigade rather happy to have one close by. This cat was going to be the death of him while on this plane. "I don't think you'd like the way we taste. A little too sweet really." Though he pulled Fianna a bit closer to him. Yeah highly uncomfortable.

Niah just followed along after and shook her head again. Piper could answer Cymmie's questions but he was just going to ask more and more and more. She let Piper answer whatever she wanted and walked up looping an arm through Aura's. "So, welcome to Andal hmm? Nice place actually."

Zahara chuckled softly, "I think I have plenty for two weeks Kieran but thanks anyway. Really, for everything." She bent and began scooping outfits into a bag. Now that she knew there was nothing wrong really, she was fine. "When are we leaving?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:35 pm

Khaiver rolled his eyes. "Do not speak as if you know the mechanics of the plane or the Crest Brigade. Nothing more than a babe in the woods on this plane D'vinn...and your little threats don't scare me. Your words are merely empty to me as you make your comments like that. Better keep your mouth shut before you make a mistake. And it doesn't change the fact that you're using the Bridge. Hm...wonder how she would take to that news." His eyes glanced at something behind Malik in the scrub a moment before back to the tier'dal.

He shrugged. "You made your deal with Mahlari, and it's been true and made done. You've no more business here now do you, seeing as we can't come to an agreement. Besides like you said...you have the chain and they are dead. Souls are only fun to torture for so long and a whim can destroy these ones. I gave you Miled, leave with him."

Piper merely continued in answers. "No, no, you can't eat anybody here at all. And Odaria I suppose is preferance. The symbols are the crests of each race of elves here and the tree connects us all. And my father is in Lucana, he'll be joining us shortly."

Aurah gave a chuckle. "Seems so. Though the snow is...I think maybe a welcome change." Hey, she wasn't used to it but it was nice.

Fianna just patted Lateef on the arm. "Oh stop it, I'm the one who's supposed to be clinging to you." More or less letting Lateef lead, seeing as he worked out all the paperwork for all of this.

"Soon as you're ready."

"You twist words. I don't use her at all. but I present scenarios that are possible through positions gained. and if you think I'm going to let you leave with that soul that belongs to me by right of vengance you are mistaken. even if I have to pry it out of your dead hand. But since you don't want to fight, is there something besides Sevilin your willing to barter with?"

A small glare.

"And the Brigade...they will get thiers. They haven't the gall to face me, but prefer to go pick on someone else. and they will be dealt with."

Cymarron kept pace.

"But is there good Hunting here? And why are these others...who look at us as if one growling sound will get them to draw blades on us...with us? You surely did not think that you needed protection to meet us, yes?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:15 pm

Lateef cleared his throat. "Protocol. We are required to bring the Brigade with us anytime someone new comes onto the plane. They won't do anything unless you give them reason too." Though of course he had to glance at the Brigade, thinking that maybe that hunting comment might get some tensing."

"You just went Hunting Cymmie. I don't think you need to do it so soon." Niah called over her shoulder towards Cymarron, tiptoeing on the snow. "It is rather...crunchy. Unlike my cheesecake which is nice and smooth and melts in your mouth." She caught a snowflake on her tongue. "Though snowflakes do too."

"Well good." She tossed a few more outfits into the bag and snapped it shut. "Well good. I'm ready." Her hands checked her sides to make sure her daggers were in place and she shot Kieran a grin. "Yup all ready."

"You don't cease to amaze me. Always talking as if you know. Angry that Brigade didn't take your behavior up with you...well then you shouldn't of let anyone take responsibility for you. Codes of honor...and you're the one that broke the rules knowingly. But do go on and 'deal' with them, they won't hesitate to ban you off the plane. Pity your pet wouldn't see this surface ever again." A little shrug. "And no...there really is nothing we want other than Sevilin. Me and my boy have a score to settle you could say...and don't think I woudln't destroy this soul to keep it from you if you tried. And killing me won't do you any good...they look down on that here on the surface."

Piper merely rolled her eyes lightly. "I suppose there is...aside from elves. Though you don't want to go after the horses. And they're....like pack protectors Cymie...just looking out for thier home and everyone who's in it you know." Though soon enough they were at the tavern that the others would be staying in...well maybe not Cymarron. But if he wanted to stay close to the others there was plenty of plainsland outside of the bazaar. "So we've arranged for you all to be staying here...Cymie if you want we can work something out for you more outside oriented. Just...no one try to cause trouble." A sideglance to Brigade memebrs at that. "So you all can get some rest or tag along with me and mother for a while."

Kieran nodded and got up, walking over and taking her bag from her. "Good, we can get on our way then. You don't mind riding with me do you?" Walking out of the room with her and grabbing his own bag, carrying it over his shoulder as he walked down the halls with her.

Malik glowered, one hand moving behidn his back under his cloak, and glowing lightly, then darkly, then pratcially turning red. not that they would know that. But it was about half an inch away from lethality. that woudl certainly put that chaindog in a bed for awhile. if not potentially cripple him. Insolent little dog. Someone would have to teach him who his betters were.

"What makes you think you could do that before I stop you? and I didn't know about those little papers till the deed was done. Had I known, I wouldn't have allowed it."

Cymarron smirked back at Naih.

"But there is new food here! new tastes to enjoy and savor and new prey to Hunt."

Once at the Tavern though...Cymarron just snorted lightly. though Rand and the girls were more than happy to stay there. well..make that they girls prefered to stay there, and Rand was going to make sure they stayed out of trouble.

"We will tag along. and we will try to barter, yes? we have many feathers and arrowheads like you had us make before..and we brought what the Den Mother calls 'wedding presents'. though we didn't know what you might desire so we brought as much as we coudl fit into the gnomish bag."

Rand rolled her eyes lightly nad did indeed hand oer a tinker's bag.

"Don't you barter everythig away either. that still get to go to piper if she wants any of it and you know it."

Tail twining about the bag.

"We know. we won't spend it all."

Zahara went to pick up her own but he grabbed it instead so she just shrugged and followed after him. "Not at all Kieran. Why would I?" Not like he was going to try anything with her. "How far is it?"

Lateef bowed to all of them and gave the Andal salute. "And here is where I leave you in highly capable hands." He did walk into the tavern, speaking with the clerk briefly and flashing some papers before coming back out. "Everyone is all set. Go in, pick your rooms and you're free to do whatever you like. If you have need of anything merely ask. I wish you all sweet water and light laughter till next we meet." Thus he took his leave, heading back towards the temporary office where he was handling affairs still while waiting for Kieran.

Niah just smiled at Piper and Lateef. "Nice meeting you Lateef, Fianna. Thank you very much Piper for all your help. I think I'm going to hang out here for a little while. Anyone going to join me?" Asked as she sailed through the doors of the tavern and went about getting herself a room.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 10:52 am

"Honestly so much fuss over one soul...then again I could be making the same fuss over Sevilin...and I'm sure you wouldn't budge on the matter. So then, you seem to think you can offer me something equal to or better than Sevilin...I dare say I'm intrigued. Perhaps I may give our dealings one more go." Pulling the vial back from his pocket to more or less showcase it.

But then he gave a little scoff. "Papers are mere legalities...here in Andal, an elf's word is enough." Just to hit home what Malik had entered into when words of others taking responsibility for others were being said.

"Oh it won't be a far trip, seeing as we'll be going by Zephyr, maybe an hour of riding at the most. We'll wind travel halfway and then ride the rest of the way in, then we'll have to ride halfway through the forest and then walk the other half to get to Ryliah, of course we'll have to stop in Torea as well...I need to see Lateef. Sounds longer than it is...of course unless you don't know the way." But he was very familiar by this point. Thus a walk out of the place and to Nerian, offering Zahara help to mount up before he mounted up himself. After all, he didn't know how she liked to ride.

Aurah raised a braceleted hand, though it was just for show. "I will be...it's going to take me a few hours to adjust to the snow and I have to put on some more clothes before I freeze here." A look to Saradin. "I told you it was a good idea to pack extra clothes." Of course she only smirked as he rolled his eyes and Eclipse had given a snort, both of them following her in as well.

Fianna nodded to the humans as and the wolf as they had made their way in the tavern and then turned her attention back to Piper, and Cymarron as well who had decided he wanted to tag along with them. She chuckled lightly...she found him quite adorable actually. Big house cat indeed, she could tell. But a nod to Lateef. "Remeber to leave them means of communication and how to use it Lateef." Before a little nod to his salute before he went off as well. "You go on with him dear, I'm going to stay here with Lateef for a bit."

Piper gave a laugh, brushing some longer strands of silver and red from her eyes. "Don't worry, I won't let him spend it all. You know, I'm out of Cymarron style arrows and it's done my heart quite the hurt to be so. Can't make me more so by holding out on me. So then dear Cymarron, shall we have a go?"

"I can offer you something, perhaps. you are an assassin by trade. the tools of your trade are well known to me. Perhaps something to enhance what is already there, and make your life as a chaindog more pleasent by knowing that fewer chances of competition will arise? How woudl you like a poison that can drain the power of even the mighty rune mages. after all, thier power is still mana, it's just an internal source rather than external. Perhaps one of my black silk sashs, that will make you twenty percent faster than you are now. A weapon, maybe, of extra planar origin, found in the realms of chaos."

He did notice the shift of eyes, and had a guess who was there.

"But I will take that soul. even if I have to take it by force. I have someplace very special set aside for these two, and after all that preparation, I won't be leaving without them."

As soon as the phrase, 'hurt my heart' left her mouth, Cymarron opened the bag, actually lowering himself halfway into it, a sight to see for someone unfamiliar with the things...before coming back up with a little bag of about a hundred of the arrowheads, and a box full of golden feathers.

"Piper's heart needs not hurt, we have plenty of supplies for you. but we did not know if we woudl be allowed to bring venom, so we just brought empty jars to fill."
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 12:48 pm

Okay he'd admit it...a particular option in the midst of all of that caught his attention. Poison that could drain a rune mage. The only way to get near those damnable things were to use some long distance means to incapacitate or distract them first. But this presented a new little thing. Not to mention he had kept Malik's company for more than long enough by now. And that would make Mahlari happy was well. "Poision to drain a rune mage you say?" Though he wasn't stupid. "I do assume you'd provide the means to make it easily reproduced and as effective everytime. One time deals are so...temporary...after all." A look to the vial in his hand, decisons decisions.

A little blink at Cymarron, bringing her hand to her mouth to cover a giggle that wanted to come out at the sight. He really was quite the sight and half the time she was sure he didn't know it. It was amusing to see the looks on the Brigade members' faces as well, seeing as they were still hanging around the two left. Then he had a bag and box in hand. Walking up to him she raised a hand to scratch under the feline's chin in affectionate manner. "My my, I dare say Malik has some competition when it comes to spoiling me." Oh the spark of gold in her eyes at the sight of rare fletching material. And all the wood she could want for arrow shafts on Andal at her disposal. Then a pat at his cheeks with both her hands. "Oh I'm sure you have enough to sate my little fletching needs. Come on then, where do you want to wander first? Around market or somewhere else?" Hey he was about the only one she could get to go running through a forest or field with her and actually enjoy it. Hell he'd probably 'hunt' her and it'd be a good old time. Hey, she was still young.

"Of course. a vial for a vial. instructions for creation come with."

Nevermind that really, really nasty sideaffect. it wasn't a drain, it was a transfer. which in this particular case, ment that since he woudln't be able to harness it correctly or control it..he'd probably just end up activating every rune around the mage in question. and that woudl be funny if he coudl live through the pain malik knew from first hand experience came with it. So odds are..first time he used it woudl be the last time. After all on Norrath, all magic energy was external. a transfer drain usually just bled off, as those without the training simply couldn't harness it into thier person. but internal energy..that worked differently, didn't it.

"But that's the last offer. decided to decline, and I'll just do it the old fashioned and hard way."

Cymarron purred at the attention, as always. he'd missed Piper, after all.

"We woudl like to see if our craft is of value, it would help us know how much our skill has improved. then we can go wherever the young mate to be woudl choose to go."

Bag back in tail, and his crouch reassumed with his wings folded down. of course on the streets now his feet made a slight clacking sound when he walked, due to those deadly looking claws on his arched feet.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:32 pm

Khaiver didn't think Malik's little trade too harmless. But that could be delt with in time...besides it would be fun to put a few of his lessers through the wringer somehow. What? Like he was going to be told to test things himself? He was too good for that and he knew it too. Malik could call him a chain dog all he liked, for this particular dog knew he was top of the list and rather well treated in this life of his. Sevilin could of been just as comfortable, but he was a coward.

"Very well, you have your deal. Just on one condition...these souls never get released to the fabrics of physical existance...it's such a daunting task to fetch a soul." And wayward Obsidians weren't going to get off that easy. Had to pay for thier abandonment after all. Thus he held out his hand with the vial in it. Though a look to the corpses. "And do put them back where you found them."

It was nice to hear that purring again. Yes she would always be horribly fond of Cymarron, seeing as he had helped her quite a lot. Even if him and Malik hated each other, she could live with that. She knew better than to just put them in the same place together too much. Though she trusted they both would at least be civil to one another for her sake if they really cared about her. "Cymie, you have elvish flare. And I wouldn't be too against letting you stalk some things. How do winged, long prehensile tailed, four eared rabbit like things sound to you?" He wanted exotic, he'd get it. Though one problem, he'd have to cross water and from she remembered, he didn't like water...and there was a lot of that in Andal...then again he had wings. "Come on then, let me show you off."

And indeed, Cymarron was a bit popular among the craft trade. After all he did have his own unique style and what not. And yes, she was loving being the one who explained things back and forth between them. And not everyone spoke common, so sometimes it was translation that was being done between. Yes quite beaming over this all, having her own fun watching him have his. Not to mention she occassionally had the childish moment and would walk in his paw prints that he left in the snow as they took rounds of the place.

Malik gave a slight grin, and from a back pocket, pulled out a little vial of blue green liquid, with a paper wrapped around it. of course his hand at present still had a red glow about it.

"Trust me, where they are going, even if they get physical bodies again, they'll wish they never did. though I seriously doubt the power there will give them that."

Though a slight raising of his eyebrow at the corpses.

"While I imagine, seeing as you have been most friendly and I know you hate me so I imagine you're also acting as decoy for something..why should it matter to you if these two roam or not? shouldn't they make some sport for you if you get bored?"

"they sound like they woudl make a good stew. are they something to eat, or something we can only hunt for the sake of the hunt?"

Though he did get the hang, very quick, of the barter system. in fact, Cymarron after a few trades, learned a great deal about driving hard bargains and getting what he wanted for only what he was willing to trade. Furs, bone furniture, totems...once he learned a decent value he was very persistant in keeping it that way, or increasing it. Though one might imagine a hard look from him may have unnerved a few here and there into deals they might have argued on more.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 4:25 pm

"Friendly, is that was you call this? No, this is civil business...why get my hands dirty when I have no need to do so. Besides...what I can learn from you through conversation as such could be more valuable than merely coming to hack at you with a blade and getting nothing. As far as the two wandering flock...well there's no sport in hunting them if they won't show the terror of one being hunted. I have plenty to keep me busy."

But he gave a sigh and a shrug before rolling the vial to catch it in two fingers once more and then flick it in Malik's direction. Did he honestly think he was going to get closer than he was? "Besides...they wander long enough and the Brigade will get wind of it. I don't care to be guilty by association because of you over something petty."

"Oh you can eat them, if you can catch them. They're pretty smart and agile as well. Can sort of hop glide, climb some, swim and hold their breaths for a bit, also have a chameleon like quality for them. They like to steal things too. One stole my bow when I was little once, took me three days to get it back." Recalling the memory with a chuckle...and also the other memory of her and Malik running across a little group of them. Malik didn't like them at all. But she was rather proud of him as she watched him haggle and what not, enjoying himself. Cymarron did have an attraction to everything he didn't know...she assumed he'd be taking a lot of things home with him. Rand would love that.

Malik caught the soul vial deftly, and in return, tossed the other.

"I do, however...feel the need to once again show you that your insolence and trying to force my hand is not a good quality about you."

Vail put up, dropping a little rolled up paper and dropped it for Isle to find. of course when she saw it, it woudl just say 'run'..before Malik shadowstepped and just becuase he was able, diecided to use that harm touch on Khavier.

"Do well to learn your betters."

And a shadow step again, and then gone into darkness, leaving requias and the dead bodies going right back to thier graves.

"Good, we coudl use the excitement of a new Hunt."

Oh yes. jewelry, clothing, cloth, furniture, chairs, pillows, trinkets, baubles, all found thier way into the endless seeming bag. daggers too. plants, herbs, spices as well.
