"Maybe one day... but now," He let out a stifled yawn that he had been keeping to himself. "we should get some sleep. Tomorrow will be harsh. Goodnight then, I hope I see you tomorrow..." Then, he turned to walk to his room, looking back out of the corner of his eye to view Eclipse laying there and his master, Aura. "Don't die..." He muttered half to himself as he passed from the room.

((whew... 4:30... there goes tomorrow morning sweatdrop If for some reason I'm not on tomorrow night, shoot me.))

Aura watched both of them leave then spent a few moments alone, reflecting on things. She looked to Eclipse who had brought up the subject himself. "I don't know what he's hinting at Eclipse...but hopefully it isn't something that will set him back to where he was..." She paused for a moment then walked over to the wolf, coaxing him from the floor. "Come on, they're right, we do need a good night's sleep." With that she and Eclipse trailed from the library and to their room.

((I'll hold ya to it Saradin, full day tomorrow, be on 9ish))

Saradin stood poised on the rooftop, trying to see the forest beyond the manor. Sleep was something he would have to get later. With the openning of dawn's light, the stars faded from view, but sunlight had still not begun to appear in the sky. Instead, a canopy of darkness surrounded them, and a chill prevaded the air.
"She wants your life." The voice returned, now stronger than before.
The lightless bubble that engulfed the area could be felt tugging at him, requesting him to join it. Above, the barrier that kept this place mostly dry struggled and shimmered as black oily raindrops spilled down onto it, sometimes seeping through in one way or another then fell to earth. Slowly, it was coating the grounds like a thin layer of ash and soot, not evaporating with the liquid it that carried it in.
"You are a monster, even without my influence. You know you need to die."
Intensity that once frightened him and made him flee from this place now pushed Saradin to the breaking point again. But now he would not falter. Beyond the pain and desire, he now had support. A turbulent mind was no longer able to sway him as he had found his truth; protected by what he prided to call 'himself', the undeparted soul of an old friend, and everyone who occupied the place he had come to call home.
"Allow yourself to die, and remove yourself from this world."
"No." He replied to the haunt within himself, defying its control.
And the voice spoke no more.

Khenu sat up in bed and rubbed at his eyes, lethargically he slid out of bed and dresses. Reaching in his pocket, he felt the two plates of metal there and remembered: he had to find Bastet.

Slipping on his boots he left his room. It was unusually quiet from the day before, not everyone was up before him he guessed. In his wandering of the hall he got to think on all the people he had met...and how his powers had reacted...again.

He frowned slightly and shook his head as if in defiance.

Bastet finished off the creature that lay before her with a final stab, hoping that it was finally down. She had been simply training and had started heading back to the mansion, when this bird-like creature attacked her. She frowned at the large gash on her arm, and winced at the pain in her back as she knew she was bleeding there as well. Putting her sai away and retracting her claws, she made her way to the mansion and entered the front door, dripping blood and water. Damn it, now she had to clean that up.

Hearing the familiar opening and closing of the door and the direction of it, Khenu headed that way, intending to see who was up being the curious child he was and all.

Looking down the hall he saw Bastet standing there, but different from how she looked before. He made his way over to her, he did have something to give her after all, but stopped about three feet from her, recognizing the look and smell of blood. "You're hurt Bastet."

Bastet, paler than usual, heard Khenu's voice and looked up. She cursed in her mind, then wrapped her scarf around her arm to try to stop the bleeding. "Yes, it was my own damn fault, I wasn't paying attention and let my guard down. It's nothing though. It'll heal" She went and sat down, her breatheing heavy.

Khenu looked down to the puddle of blood she had left on the floor then followed her to where she sat, standing a few feet away from her. He fidgeted with his fingers like any nervous child would as he simply watched her. "Um, anything I can do to help?"

She looked over to Khenu and smiled, "No, but thanks anyway," She sat up, and kept a smile on her face, "See? I'll be fine, I'm getting strength back already."

The pupils in Bastet's eyes went small as she took the metal from him. "Khenu, I do want to modify my sai, I'm alway looking to make my weapons better, but I can't take this. You havn't much of this stuff left, what if you find a use for it? Besides, what's the occasion?"

Khenu laughed and made a quick decision on his childish fancy. He took one piece of metal, slid it back into this pocket and held the other out to Bastet still. "Okay, you keep one and I'll keep one. One piece should be enough for both sai if it's worked right. I learned that back in my village, a little piece of this stuff goes a loooooooooooong way."

Bastet smiled at the little boy, for what he had been through, he still had all the innocence a young boy should have. "That's very sweet of you Khenu, Thank you. I know some about working with metal, but you still might want to supervise me to make sure this doesn't go to waste." Bastet slips the metal into an inside pocket of her jacket, but as she's doing so, the scarf around her arm falls some and exposes her wound. Only, now the wound had closed up and looked more like a week-old scar.

Where an involuntary squeak would of been expected came more of an excited, "Whoa! That...rocks! Lemme see!" He got closer examining her arm. Sure he had heard of fast healers, but this was down right friggen awesome to him.

Bastet held her arm out to him, "That's why I was breatheing hard, it takes a lot of stregth for the body to repair itself, especially quickly." She reflected, "Remember when I told you about the guy that wanted to use me? Well, I'm actually about 5000 years old from ancient Egypt. And my body can heal faster than normal depending on how much energy I have and the injury. He wanted to use me forever, but it didn't work out."
