Nine couldn't see or feel anything, other than floating in the depths of remembrance. Whispers he had pushed into the depths of his mind were now coming out into focus, most of it random chatter. He remembered how he had to have total superiority where other tailed beasts even considered the method to be forbidden. Physically, this body was still that of the host, but mentally the fox became too much to withstand, killing the host mentally and taking full control. The body and brain still functioned as they should, but the host of the body died as soon as he was made one. Nine had forgotten about the events of that day for so long, he couldn't even remember what the boy's name originally was, not caring at the time. However, when he was taken in by the ghostly dragon he had to protect the body with his own chakra, hence the extreme bleeding. Her voice echoed with more density than all the others combined, causing his hand in hers to slowly clench up, squeezing hers as a sign that he heard and was still fighting. However that was all he could do as he struggled to get out of his own forgotten past memories.

A tall man with long spiky hair came out of the treetops, his headband bearing the symbol of the leaf but it's metal designed indicated he was a Sannin, none other than Jiraiya the Toad Sage. "Hey there Blue, it's been a long time since we last talked, what was it, 8 years ago?"

"Huh? You mean Nine? Yea, I know the guy: poor kid, having to go through what he did. However, if the situation is that bad, then He knows exactly what must be done, but it will cost him dearly." He sighed as he took a swig of his sake, looking more depressed than usual. "I've seen him use the jutsu once before, but the side effects are something I would never consider at all. You see, as a Tailed Beast, their best attributes are not their massive amount of chakra, which may seem to be the case, but in reality it's the speed on how they regain it once used. Depending on how much they need to use, they can create a lot of chakra, but it comes at a price: They convert a key part of their brain into a generator. Memories are sacrificed in order to restore, and gain, immense amount of chakra. Depending on how deep the memory runs, they can get more power out of it. And hearing that he has someone to love as he truly is....." He took another swig of alcohol and looked out yonder, sadness in his eyes. "He may have to make a sacrifice worse than his own life."

Nine slowly woke up to see a crying Tsukiko, weakly having his other hand come over hers. "Hey.... sorry for the scare back there."

Nine slowly sat up, recovered enough that he had her sit next to him. "I'll be fine for now.... but we cannot leave everyone back there. I promised a better life for you, and i'll make it happen... we have to go back, i'm putting an end to this now."
