Krissim Klaw And yay, mantis in the house. How come I never get lucky enough to find any wild mantises? I've only seen like 4 wild ones in my entire life. T__T There was one hanging around where I worked..um...last week. I saw one there last year too. x3 I didn't even know there were mantises in Iowa. Or that they were so big. o.o

(speaking of mantises, I found one in my house the other day.) Redrum is doing great, but Siren is very ill. Ever since she had her final shedding, she just can't hold food down properly. And yay, mantis in the house. How come I never get lucky enough to find any wild mantises? I've only seen like 4 wild ones in my entire life. T__T Well, I live near 8 acres of tall grass, so they tend to thrive there. Sometimes when I would take my lunch out there in the summer, I shared it with several matises, both green and brown and in all shapes and sizes. 3nodding

First off, I should appologize to Krystal. I am so sorry I jumped so quickly into a relationship. I do care about you, and I wish I wasn't so stupid as to jump into something I wasn't ready for just yet. I was hurt and lonely and it felt good to care for someone again. Things were really changing for me, and now that something really big as happened, I really can't focus on things as much. I can't put everything into a realtionship right now. I am sorry. I hate it because I feel like I wasted your time and strung you along. But I didn't want to use you. I can't give you everything you needed or wanted in a relationship. I still care about you, and I am glad I caused no ill will.
Krystal, you are a wonderful, kind, sweet, caring person. And I am happy you cared for me in the least. I am truely sorry I hurt you, I wish I didn't and I hate myself for it.

(pictures herself in a field throwing out crickets to hundreds of wild mantises. whee heart One day I am so going to start a mantis park. I mean they have parrot jungle and butterfly world... why not Mantis Kingdom! domokun Shoki- Yep, mantises live pretty much everwhere that has enough warm months in the year for them to hatch, grow up, and mate. Some of the species can get pretty big when they reach adult hood too. Lots of mantis love for the world.

Hey, the first mantis I saw was in the parking lot ( I assume hunting the millions of crickets trying to take over the restaurant) and it started spining in a circle when it noticed me and my friend approaching. It freaked her out (she has a major bug fear), but I thought it looked funny. Mantis dance! What was up with that? Did it feel threatened?

It's hard to say but it might have been looking around, or excited by the movement of you two approaching. You can tell when they are afraid though because they will arch their butts up and flair their claws to the side in attempts at making themselves look bigger. If they are full grown, they will also spread their wings out.
