Soi closed her eyes wearily. She picked up the discarded flask and took a drink. She wasn't fond of the foul beverage but the seishi had a feeling she'd be needing it soon enough. Unsheathing her sword, she walked after Yui.
"You know, legally I own you now," she said in a tired tone, "I could just make you come with me..."
Nevertheless, Soi knew that would be unproductive. The best strategy was to make Yui trust her. She she would have to endure works of charity her apparent priestess seemed obsessed with accomplishing. She gripped the hilt of her sword tightly and placed a hand on Yui's shoulder.
"Just stick close to me alright?" she told her in a resigned sigh.

"Hey wait for me!" Kouji protested instantly and he followed. 'The Seiryuu no miko?! No way it can't be!' he thought to himself with alarm. He himself knew the legends, all four countries shared the same one and the proof of it was that the legend had already come to pass in Sairou and Hokkan. 'She could be the Suzaku no miko,' he thought to himself doubtfully, 'but it's really no business of mine. Still... At any rate, though this woman may have saved Yui from bandits I don't trust her and I'm not letting Yui go alone with her.'
"Three is better than two," Kouji pointed out with a grin, "and like you said, the bandits could still be out there." He then praised himself, "good point Kouji-sama, good point."

Yui's whole body completely froze upon hearing Soi's words which left her quite speechless. Owned her? That thought hadn't really crossed her mind but nobody owned her from the very begining though she did owe the woman quite a bit of money for being the cause of the woman now being poor. Yui lightly bit her lower lip when Soi mentioned taking by force. She had no quarrel with this woman nor did she wish to cause any more trouble for her but she couldn't just leave the farmer's wife to fend for herself. Much to her own suprise, the woman finally gave in. Well now wasn't exactly the time to explain to this woman that she wasn't someone destined to save a whole kingdom but for now, it was best that time not be wasted. "H...hai." Yui finally answered, her eyes starring over at Soi with much suprise but before she could fully open the door, her attention grew to Kouji who called out to them. Well it seemed she was no longer alone in this strange world anymore. Not alone for now that is but once the farmer's wife was out of harm's way Yui fully intended on convincing the woman that she wasn't this savior. "I suppose so." Yui answered, flashing Kouji a faint smile before slowly opening the door and taking a small step outside to see what awaited them.

Kitty Little "But let's say they are," Suboshi speculated, "we could go to the village, lay low, and try to get a look at whoever has all that power. That way, we'll know what to look out for in the future."
He knew how bad an idea that must have sounded, but it made a lot of sense to him. If they could just get a quick peek, they could probably save themselves loads of worry in the future. Amiboshi paused in his tracks after hearing his brother's words. He then sighed out, his head hanging low as his long green bangs covered his eyes. Suboshi had always been the curious one, especially when it came to those who possess strength him or stronger. Amiboshi on the other hand, would prefer to avoid any possible threats to him and his brother.
He sighed out though, not wanting to appear bossy. His brother had as much say in this as well, right? He looked up at Suboshi with concerned eyes, finally having some words to say. "Alright. We can go to the village," he let out softly and hesistently.

Rihga "The capital?" Miaka repeated. "Is that where the people who will know how to get me home live? Because if that's the case then I'm definitely ready to start moving! I'll just wash my face and clean up a bit and then... I'll..." her nose caught the smell of the food again, and all other thoughts disappeared from her mind as the great beast that was her stomach shouted for food. "Right after breakfast, I mean!"
She bolted into the kitchen and plopped herself down in one of the chairs, offering the adults her brightest and most polite "Ohayou gozaimasu!" before diving into the meal like a starving raccoon. Chichiri stared at the priestess as she guzzled down everything in sight. He sweatdropped. Not the most ladylike manners no da...
He sat down and smiled at their hosts. "Ohayo na no da."
He sipped a bit of tea as he paused to think of their next move. "Well no da, you can't go home yet," he replied cheerfully, "first you have to gather the other seishi and summon Suzaku. After you do that you can use one of your wishes to go back to your world no da!"

Niftyness Yui's whole body completely froze upon hearing Soi's words which left her quite speechless. Owned her? Yui answered, flashing Kouji a faint smile before slowly opening the door and taking a small step outside to see what awaited them. Soi smirked amusedly at the blue haired bandit. "Well for someone who hasn't even had breakfast yet, you sure are in a hurry to get into a fight. Besides, three is better than two only if the extra person doesn't make it a point to get everyone else killed."
She walked up to Yui and had a look around. The cluster of homes seemed deserted. Given that it was an agricultural based village it made sense that the majority of the men would be out in the fields. Only, where were all the women? The children? I don't like this... Storm clouds gathered overhead silently in response to her uneasiness.
She turned to Yui and gave her an expectant look. "Where to now your excellency? Perhaps we might find a kind old magistrate at the nearest brothel. I'm sure he'll be more than eager to help ne?" she teased the blond. Granted the entire thing was a joke to Soi. What did she care if one of these peasants got what was coming to them?

Kouji forked his tongue at the woman. "No need to be rude about it," he grumbled at her. He looked up at the storm clouds gathering. "I hate rain," he mumbled to himself. "Last time I was in a thunderstorm I nearly got struck by lightning! Yes and then Genrou laughed at you Kouji-sama stupid bugger that he is. Hmm that reminds me, I really should find him. Yes that would be a good idea Kouji-sama."
When Soi joked to Yui he sniggered slightly, struggling to turn it into a subtle cough. It shouldn't have been funny but well...in a way it was. He glanced around, something didn't feel right.

Since Amiboshi had agreed (albeit reluctantly), the younger twin could not help but feel as though it was the right thing to do. It would be worth it in the long run, or so he convinced himself. Excited by his minor victory, Suboshi did not even notice his pace quicken. His mind was lost to imagining how strong this new seishi must be, and what his power could be.

Yui was much too occupied studying the area to pay much attention to the comments that Soi and Kouji were throwing at one another. Now wasn't the time for such things. This place...it resembled much of a ghost time right now and she didn't like it one bit. Part of her already wanted to step back and stay locked up into the house until officials crossed by but what about that woman? Had they found her already or had she managed to skip town or hide out in a neighboring neighbors' while the slave traders were preoccupied with them? Even though she was terriefied of this gut feeling she was begining to feel, Yui somehow managed to keep a brave face while intensely paying attention to her whole surroundings for anything else out of place other than the eerie silence. It even seemed as though the storm clouds forming above were giving her their own little warning about what was to come. 'Authority....authority...if I were an authority in some small village...where is the most likely place I would be?', Yui silently questioned herself before her thoughts were cut off by Soi's small tease which seemed to even get a small laugh out from Kouji. That boy was horrible at covering things up and Yui couldn't understand how those two could joke around at a time like this. Perhaps it was because this kind of stuff was a daily occurence to them and it got to the point that where they just stopped caring. If that was the case than why did the two decide to help her? Well the woman's reasons were obvious but what about Kouji? What was Kouji's reason for helping her? Still, even though Soi was joking, the brothel would be a good place to look that is if it were night. "Better chance finding a magistrate at a local inn since it is morning and I doubt a drunk magistrate would be much help. Are there any local inns here?" Yui asked, her tone remaining serious, despite the dry humor. "Or back where I come from, when we needed help, we would use flares to get attention from the authorities so perhaps we can find flares of some sort."

Kouji gave Yui a blank look. "Flares? Huh..." He shook his head. "You mean some sort of signal right?" He'd picked up the coolness of her tone as well. 'Obviously not amused,' he decided to himself, 'I mean yeah this is serious but...well no sense in worrying about things.' He scratched his blue hair absentmindedly as he tried to think of some sort of 'flare' to use but he had little faith in Yui's idea.

Soi glanced at Kouji and Yui before sighing.
"Well there's a lodging house a ways from here, but seeing how the people there tried to kill me in my sleep I doubt we'll get much help." she responded icily, before continuing, "Don't know if she even regained consciousness yet. I'm pretty sure I didn't kill her..."
She trailed off staring at the empty streets searching for a clue.
"Usually a rustic place like this would depend on lynching mobs," she gave Yui a sidelong glance, "care to encite one?"

"Hai, that's right." Yui answered, slowly realizing maybe items such as flares didn't exist in this world. This place was a bit primitive afterall. Her gaze soon shifted over to Soi and cringed at the trying to kill remark. Was everyone here actually that corrupted?! No...that couldn't possibly be the case, at least she hoped not. "Even if I could, there would not be much to form one seeing that most of the healthy men are out making money for their families so the only ones that are probably left here are women, children, and elderly people. Doesn't your 'emperor' send guards or something to keep order in each small village? I mean if this is a 'kingdom' like you mentioned earlier than there should be plenty of guards around watching over the people to ensure their safe being otherwise the emperor isn't doing his/her job." Yui bluntly stated, realizing that they were just wasting time just standing around and chatting. "I'm thinking if the farmer's wife was smart enough, than she would of went and hid until things cooled down but we do have a chance of finding her first before those slave traders. Perhaps she went straight to Kutou to find her husband. If we go there than I'm more than positive we'll find someone to help us and Kouji will find his friend as well." Yui concluded, after thinking much over the matter. The worst thing that could happen if they leave this house was that the slave traders would come back to destroy an empty place but at least any lives wouldn't be harmed. She only hoped she was right in her theory about the farmer's wife.

Amiboshi sighed out after hearing his brother's words, not really putting his faith into them. He just had this feeling in the pit of his stomach that they would be staying longer than for a 'quick look'.
And unlike his brother, Amiboshi was not excited about going, obviously. While Suboshi's pace was going faster, Amiboshi's was slowing down but not enough to loose his twin. He looked over his shoulder once more to catch one last glance at the traveling army, that sinking feeling his stomach growing.

"Gather the seishi... and summon...?" she dropped the chopsticks and jumped to her feet, shaking her head viciously from side to side. "Ne, Chichiri-san, you keep saying this stuff and I keep telling you, and I don't think you're listening, but I'm not any sort of Miko! I'm a normal junior high girl, and I just came here on accident. So really I just want to find some way to go back home before my family and friends get worried about me, and..." she paused, cocking her head to the side as the end of his sentence finally clicked in her brain. "Did you say something about 'wishes'?"

"It's no accident no da. Even if you're no one special back in your world priestess, here you have been chosen by Suzaku na no da," he told her brightly, "three wishes to be exact. Once you summon Suzaku you'll have the power to wish for anything your heart desires and he will grant it! Sugoi ne na no da?" blaugh
