islanders_CO39 "I....I saw it....it was a war...with the enemy...and...they slaughtered Ryo and Kina like animals....they killed your grandfather...then....then I watched them take you away from me. When we were still facing each other...only in the grips of our captors...one of them stabbed me through the stomach and then before I died....they slit your throat...and broke your neck....."
Her stomach lurched at the memory and all the blood, the death....the smell...came back to her hitting her like a slap in the face. It was all too much to handle at the time and she whimpered and her eyes watered and she threw up off to the side of the bed. The nightmare was the worst she had ever had...especially since it made her physically sick. Kyo kissed her hand,"Oh it was only a dream my sweet! IM ok, Ryo and Kina are fine, you have nothing to worry about..."he stroked her head to comfort her, but he felt worried about her, sinceshe rarely had nightmares, but lately she seemd to be sleeping badly,"Can i get you anything Rin?"

His fingers running through her hair and across her skin seemed to calm her noticably as she closed her golden eyes tiredly. Reaching out, she refilled the glass with water from the pitcher and drank it down quickly, followed by two more full glasses of the icy liquid. Re-dampening the cloth that had been on her forehead she just let it rest there as a slight whimper escaped from her mouth as she snuggled back to Kyo asleep.

islanders_CO39 His fingers running through her hair and across her skin seemed to calm her noticably as she closed her golden eyes tiredly. Reaching out, she refilled the glass with water from the pitcher and drank it down quickly, followed by two more full glasses of the icy liquid. Re-dampening the cloth that had been on her forehead she just let it rest there as a slight whimper escaped from her mouth as she snuggled back to Kyo asleep. Kyo could hear RIn fall asleep, but kyo kept awake, watching her rest. She seemed peacefuly, but Kyo kept the cloth damp on her head, and watched her, and slowly the 'sun' rose in the 'sky' symbolizing it was morning, meaning the flames had spring higher, illuminateing the landscape. Kyo looked down on Rin apprehensivly, as the dawn came.

Rin was not purring in her sleep like she normally did and she seemed stiff...not loosely snuggled up to Kyo as usual. A troubled look had set on her face, her brow furrowed with sweat beading dancing across her face. The dreams were worse, bloodshed, the stench of death...the roaring sound filling her ears.
Her body was trembling noticably as her mind was plagued with the nightmares of war. It was as if everything were so real, that she could touch it. The smell, the sound, the sight...everything last detail.

islanders_CO39 Rin was not purring in her sleep like she normally did and she seemed stiff...not loosely snuggled up to Kyo as usual. A troubled look had set on her face, her brow furrowed with sweat beading dancing across her face. The dreams were worse, bloodshed, the stench of death...the roaring sound filling her ears.
Her body was trembling noticably as her mind was plagued with the nightmares of war. It was as if everything were so real, that she could touch it. The smell, the sound, the sight...everything last detail. Kyo saw Rins troubled sleep, and he whiped her head with the cloth, and looked concerned. It was almost time for the great battle, he could feel the families troops drawing closer to the sopt they were, but still a few days away. kyo heard his soldiers doing exercises and additional training in the courtyard, and repairing, as well as building new defenses. HE looked back at Rin though and stroked her forehead, and his brow furrowed.

Rin could feel Kyo's fingers brushing against her skin which in some sort of way seemed to start to bring her out of the nightmare that she continued reliving. It had gone back to all the times she had been beaten up while she was with the Odah...the dream was severe enough so she could even smell her own blood and feel the same pain as she had through the whole thing.
Squeezing her eyes shut even more tightly, the pained expression grew even more on her face as she whimpered loudly and started to cry in her sleep. Beneath her breath she was mumbling "Dont touch me...dont hurt me...no...no!!!" As she whispered it repeatedly in her sleep she started screaming it out as well as she started shaking and crying endlessly. Her delicate, bandaged hands found Kyo's arm and she clutched onto him.

Her mouth was open so she was coughing and sputtering, spitting out the water as she thrashed around, not knowing the difference between her nightmares and reality.
By this time, she had fallen out of bed and hit the ground, her head hitting with a thud. Rin had stopped shaking, though she was still crying as she had been jolted out of her nightmares from the fall out of bed.
Still lying on the floor curled up, she slowly opened her golden eyes which remained about half open and she looked sick in a way. Her arms were tucked up to her chest and she made no sign of getting off the floor. She still wore the aquamarine kimono from the celebration, considering how she had nothing else to wear.
Her head ached terribly, not only from falling out of bed and hitting the stone floor, but from screaming and all the pain in the dream as well.

Absentmindedly she rubbed the bruises that had formed on her body and winced noticably. How was it that her dreams were becoming real? She had lived through these past nightmares of abuse and bloodshed, so why were they coming back to haunt her?
Rin didnt know the answer, but she wasnt sure to tell Kyo or not. The bruise that ached the most was the one covering her shoulder...that had been one of the worst places that she had been hit when she was abused at the camp...some clan.

"Its...nightmares....nightmares that I've lived through....being abused and beaten....practically drown...left to die....they're all nightmares I've lived. They...they've always haunted me....but never like this. I can smell my blood....others blood.....I can feel the pain as if it just happened...and...."
Instead of continuing, she managed to sit up a bit and she slipped her kimono off of her left shoulder to show the massive bruising. "......And its happening all over..."
"Theres....images...of you and the twins dying...myself dying...everything..."

"Its...nightmares....nightmares that I've lived through....being abused and beaten....practically drown...left to die....they're all nightmares I've lived. They...they've always haunted me....but never like this. I can smell my blood....others blood.....I can feel the pain as if it just happened...and...."
Instead of continuing, she managed to sit up a bit and she slipped her kimono off of her left shoulder to show the massive bruising. "......And its happening all over..."
"Theres....images...of you and the twins dying...myself dying...everything..." Kyo looked concerned, and his brows furrowed,"Rin...this is...horrible."he kissed her softly, to sho support,"Cmon lets get you back into bed." he lifted her up easily and set her gently on the bed,"Maybe your ill. Rin do yoiu want me to get a doctor? I can summon my personal physicians..."he lay next to her and put his arms aorund her, staring meaningfullying into her eyes.

Biting onto her lip, she started finally gave up and started begging her husband to go and get her help. Kyo got up and left the room, and returned several minutes later with a gruff, but inttlgent loking doctor in military robes. He carefully examined Rin, with knowing hands and than pulled Kyo aside, and said ina d eep gravely voice,"Your highmess I believe that the cause of Lady Rins nightmares and bruising is Stress, and the work of a stomach Ulcer. I can only suggest you not worry her at all, and make sure she rests a great deal, try this potion to help her have a dreamless sleep. The chinese call it opium, but do not use it excessivly, or she may become dependant. If the symptooms persist, I suggest consultinf a psychologist."he bowed and left. Kyo walked over tot he bed and smiled down at Rin, and took her hands,"Hey sweets. How ar eyou feeling? Hungary? Thirsty? Tired?" he gave her nose a qucick peck and smield at her.
