"In a minute." Said Rachel, who was just finishing up with the upper floor of the house. She and Karissa sat down with Arianna, with Rachel on the seat across from Karissa and Arianna. "We need you to stay here. Just sit, don't move, at all, not even a muscle." Rachel stood up, whispering to Karissa so that only she could hear "I heard someone at the window, I think its him." She went to the particular window and rolled up the blinds. It was Laurence, he climbed into the window gracefully. "I think we might have to tell her now Laurence. I don't know if we have a choice."

Laurence saw her hesitate and took over "we, well, used to be human, we are what is called 'vampires', we try to keep it a secret but we needed to tell you. I also need to say this is my fault. These, Things chasing us are after me, and anyone in the way. Lets just say history has a way of biteing you in the a**." Laurence paused, he knew she was confused "I cant go into detail, o, are there any guns in the house?"

"I don't know, well, we....bite you. It's this venom thing that spreads. It hurts, a lot, its the most vivid thing we remember about our human life." Rachel looked carefully at Arianna, trying to see if she was scared out of her wits.

"We've all had more than on situation in our live where we need guns." Said Rachel matter of factly. Everyone turned to look at her. In appearance she was 14, so it was shocking to think of her with a gun. "What?" she asked. "I was 25 when I first used one!"

"Wow." said Karissa. She'd never handled, let alone used, a gun before. And she was shocked at how calmly Arianna was handling everything, in light of their confession.

"And I thought people were supposed to believe in either God or Santa Clause," said Karissa, shaking her head. "So Laurence, what can you tell us about whoever's after you? Will they follow you here? Is Arianna in danger?"

Laurence looked at her, "when i was first turned i did not have a family"

Laurence walked to the window and peeked out the hole. "after a while the knew i was not human, They started to do experiments, and 'tests' of my abilities. i was forces to give blood. They sold a concoction made from it that makes humans more animal like then thinking. As you can tell, i got away. But word got out and they think i am the only one, they will do anything to get me back. That is why i am a good killer, and that is why They are after me." Laurence turnede to her with a serios look "i will leave, no need to bring danger. there is probly 50 or so in the town now and they will not stop chasing me. I will just kill them all or die trying, I need you to protect Arianna." Laurence held the gun and started to move to th door.
