He stared at her for a few minutes, had she spoken? Should he just be blunt? "Uh...I'm Kouji K-oh-je. Kouji you sound like an idiot, you're only going to make her mad. I'm a friend," he finally managed to state.

Korin-Chan Had she been in a more hysterical mood the poor bandit would have met his end then and there however after a few moments of observation she came to the conclusion that she had seen him before and he was the very same gentleman she had ordered to run when she had sprinted away from Nakago - funny how he had chased after her as opposed to finding his own hiding place.
"Friend or foe?" She demanded in her somewhat heavy accent, a being of Sairou could often be difficult to understand (granted Nakago had spoken a few times to her and thus was familiar with her peculiar manner of speaking) and so she wouldn't have been surprised if he just stared at her, then again...she had avoided his question. Yuki_Yubari He stared at her for a few minutes, had she spoken? Should he just be blunt? "Uh...I'm Kouji K-oh-je. Kouji you sound like an idiot, you're only going to make her mad. I'm a friend," he finally managed to state. 
ninja ninja ninja *Despite Subaru's efforts to be discrete, the Awkward bandit and his habit of self conversation, acquired the attention of one of the searchers. He actually swept past the room quietly, and then doubled back hearing more than was to be expected from what had been left as an empty room. He smiled under his dark trappings and listened carefully off to the side of the door in the shadows of the hallway*

Subaru couldn't raise her brow any higher - this man was insane but at least he had stated he was harmless regardless of whether or not he had just treated her like an idiot by telling her how to pronounce his name; she could pronounce it without the help, "Douin," She introduced herself at last as she rose to her feet and examined the bandit for a long while - what was with all the attractive men in Kutou recently, were they all born like this?!
"So, what brings you to this wonderful palace?"

He gave her an awkward smile, now how to explain that? "I don't know why I'm in this building, some guards said come, they had pointy swords so I came. As for why I'm in Kutou, I'm meant to be meeting my friend here and I got sidetracked because I'm hungry." Just then his stomach growled. "Nicely done Kouji," he muttered dryly to himself. His stomach growled again defiantly. "Eh as if two minds wasn't bad enough my stomach has gained me a third one. Sometimes, you make no sense to yourself Kouji."

ninja ninja ninja *The watcher was a bit thrown off by the conversation...it sounded like the man was talking to himself and the girl at the same time. But he shook his head and stepped up to the door applying a little pressure to it, trying to open it enough to slip in, without being to blatant and being noticed. He took his time, backing off when the speaking ended, and pushing slowly when they talked*

"Pointy swords - well, I've never seen a blunt sword," Subaru pointed out wrily, completely unaware of the being who was attempting to overhear their conversation; rather she was more interested in the poor bandit who appeared to be suffering from some form of split personalities...
"And a friend?" She continued, placing her hands upon her hips and leaning her weight against one of her legs while the other knee bent in relaxation; well if she was going to be holed up in here until a miracle occured she might as well get to know the other fugitive as well, "Anyone of importance that would end up in you being wanted by this empire?"

"Well knowing him he probably has done something to get us wanted by these Kutou guys. I mentioned celestial warrior and the guards seemed excited by that, I was only messing but come to think of it, maybe they know my friend's one- his name's Genrou but he also goes by Tasuki, we're bandit pals!" He grinned. "All the way from Mt. Leikaku!"

"Mount where?" Subaru enquired confusedly, her mind only registering each of his phrases one by one. Bit by bit she was beginning to make sense of how he spoke and was beginning to understand but it did take her a while to decipher which parts were relevant to her amidst his ranting, "Did you say Celestial Warrior...and Suzaku?" She interrupted testily, canting her head to the side as she observed him.
...Maybe that was why Miaka was so compelled to stay...

Kouji nodded slowly. "Sheesh, why is that so important? I think my stomach is a matter to be concerned with." He winced as it growled again. "Mount Leikaku, Genrou is the leader there and I'm second in command. Genrou is Tasuki, the Suzaku celestial warrior! Kouji you're not very secretive."

Subaru was not usually one to sacrifice others in order to escape but this bandit seemed like more of a liability and she couldn't seem to find any other use for him other than to use him as a bargaining chip to get herself out, now if she were to argue with Nakago this guy had even closer ties with the Suzaku than her and would be of greater use if he desired to hinder their plans meaning she would be in essence worthless...
"Well, you see it's important because this Celestial warrior is being looked for by a priestess." She explained slowly as if she believed he lacked the intelligence to comprehend what she was saying, "In fact it's important he can be found so that they can summon Suzaku...you see?"

ninja ninja ninja *Finally getting the door pushed open enough to slip through, he slid quietly into the door and to the corner, behind a small screen, listening still. he perked up though as the conversation continued. He too was picking up on the nuances of this stranger, and his connection to the Suzaku, this might come to some use. He quietly began to weave a string like substance between his fingers, while still listening, getting ready to make his move.*
