Nailah raised an eyebrow as she watched her picky cat plop down on Aura's lap. Nailah rolled her eyes and whistled softly calliing a command in the Egyptian tongue.
"Come here Rasui. You are only starting trouble."
Rasui blinked and looked at her mistress. She stood up and jumped off of Aura's lap. Slowly she made her way towards Nailah where she purred and jumped onto her shoulder.

((Brain is now officially dribbling out my ear...))
"Lady Aura, I'm afraid I havent been introduced to the new guests." He sheathed his weapon and turned to Nailah. "Excuse me, I am..." He thought for a moment, deciding that he would keep the name, "Saradin, may I ask your name?" He nodded to her the way he always did in introductions.

"Yes, that's Nailah. In the morning perhaps you'll get to meet Khenu when he wakes up. That is if you're one to be around children, he's quite a sweet boy."

"I've always enjoyed the company of children. I suppose I have inhereted his instincts as a father too..." Shuts his eyes tight, remembering the painful night, then openning them again, his pain only renewed. "Plus, through my travels, they are usually the least likely to distrust me as I was so used to."

Aura shrugged slightly. "Khenu is a bit on the skittish side, but he seems to warm up easily enough when shown trust." She though for a moment on the boy, then the mentioned opinions on him, and shrugged them off. "I'm sure he'd take a liking to you."

Nailah sat there strangley silent. Her head was tilted to one side and her eyes were tightly closed. An involuntary shudder ran through her and she felt the p***k of tears at her eyes.

"If you say believe so Aura." He tried to draw the subject away from one that stirred bad memories from slumber. "But tell me, what has happened in the last few day that I should be aware of? I believe I was fully distracted by my work."

Aura looked to Nailah for a moment, then back to Saradin. "Well, Ryo and Dagan are back, and Pheaura's feeling much better now. Not too much really, except for the arrival of our new guests."
Eclipse sat down next to Saradin, completely content with where he was at the moment. He leaned slightly against him and closed his eyes, just enjoying his friends presence once more.

With little else to do, Saradin knelt to serve Eclipse's attention grabbing. "I'm afraid their arrival just places them in danger too then. Catherine will be arriving soon..." He concealed the fear and doubt in his newfound strengths by petting Eclipse, roughly scratching his fur. "I can feel her close by."

Aura let a frown slip through her happy facade. "Their added strength can only help. The only one to be worried about would be Khenu...but Eclipse would probably take care of that, you know how protective he is of us all."
Eclipse merely leaned himself into Saradin's hands, letting his wings slack in the process, black feathers scraping rather haphazardly against carpeted floor.

Nailah shook her head and clenched her eyes tighter together. She had to fight her senses. There was too much...she couldn't' take it all right now. She wanted to get to know Saradin..but right now... his thoughts felt dark. Too dark. Nailah forced her mind towards Eclipse. She allowed her sensed to settle on the wolf instead of what they really wanted...Saradin. Eclipse was calm but he was also excited. It was very apparent that he loved Saradin. They seemed to be very close. "Memo to me...don't get too close to Saradin when he's like this. It hurts too much." Nailah mumbled the words under her breath.

"Good to hear. He makes a fine guard for you and others." He dug his hands into Eclipse, scratching at both spots behind his ears, not noticing Nailah's words. "Take care of him then. But make sure you keep yourself safe as well. The thought of losing more friends to my problems would be worse than my own death."

Eclipse licked Saradin's face and leaned farther into him, resting his head on the man's shoulder, his tail lazily swishing back forth. He let out a very soft bark in acknowledgment to his statement, then lifting a paw and rested it on Saradin's knee.
