DarkLadyYuri Deidra laughed softly and lay back on the bed. "If you ever think about killing my sister if she pisses you off, think of the look on her face if I tell her that my soulmate is a dragon. Imagine her dealing with having a possible future neice or nephew..." I'm not sire which would be the bigger shock! No, I've seen what's going on. I'll not kill her. I may not have all my powers, but it's surprising how much the eye give away, even when one is so heavily guarded in their emotions as your sister. Not much gets by a dragon's eyes.

Deidra sighed. "Well, with all of the crap that floats around the coven house, can you really blame her?"

Dawn wiped the tear trail from her cheek and took a deep shaky breathe before exiting the room and made her way down the stairs and the tower. She paused just outside the entrance to the tower and looked around. The sun was just now sinking and its rays cast shadows over much of her family's estate, making the garden look darker and more isolated than it really was, yet she could sense his presence out there, watching. She wandered out onto the garden and headed for the willow trees on the bank of the lake. As she walked among the roots of the trees, a coll breeze rose from the lake and rustled throught the swaying branches, caressing her cheek. "I know you are out here," she called out softly. "Why did you hide?"

"Why did you hide?" There was utter silence, then a stirring amidst the upper branches of the ancient willow. The masked one melted out of the shadows silently and sat among one of the larger branches, silently regarding Dawn. He removed his bow from his shoulder and placed it next to him on the branch. He stood and leaped down and landed gracefully cat-like behind Dawn.

Dawn turned and jumped slightly when she noticed how close he stood next to her. She relaxed and a small smile formed on her lips. "I just wanted to thank you, my lord, for saving my life. I am in your deb-" She stopped talking when he placed a gloved finger to her lips, his eyes behind the mask shining in the dim light of the sunset. SShe gave hima questioning look but said nothing and he removed his hand from her face.

He's back. And your sister's with him. I'd like to meet this fellow, but I think I'll refrain for now. I think he'll be more successful in bringing your sister around. I dunno why, just a hunch.

Deidra stood up and looked out the window and she frowned. "Who in the hell would disturb here?" Her hands found the latch on the window and she opened the window noiselessly and looked out to see what it was.

No idea. But I can't make them out, even with my eyes...Perhaps your sister's assailants had friends? Wait, where IS your sister?

Mercenary Baynes *Why not? The only people who can see me as I am are those I wish or young children who haven't learned that I don't exist. Most people see me as a big dog.* Sage arched a brow while Alex gave a confussed look, "Guess from far off you could pass as a dog, but I honestly don't see how they could mix that up." She muttered about blind people as she wandered towards a light trail in the treeline.

She muttered about blind people as she wandered towards a light trail in the treeline. *Part of my people's magic, m'lady. If people saw a ginat fox wandering about, don't you think they'd be worried? As it is, my magic shows me as a large shiba inu. Except for those I mentioned who are able to see through my illusion. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to fool someone who doesn't want to beleive in you.*

Tch...Damn. C'mon. This is risky, but it's the fastest way. At this point, I could care less if your sister knows, I just don't want our "visitors" to see.

Without warning, the masked one pulls Dawn close and leaps into one of the higher branches of the tree, mere seconds before a wave of flames erupted in the area where they stood. A loww hissing noise escaped the area beyond the trees, but the attackers reamined unseeen.
Dawn bit back a shriek as she was was suddenly lifted up, but held on tight to the hunter's shoulders. "What is going on here?"
