Well, this is an interestng conversation to stumble upon.
I'm a sub, and I've found a Dom I like, but we live 9 timezones apart. -.-'
go figure. (Not that we've made anything official yet...)

There's always the option to just play around with the bondage, pain, etc aspects without the Dom/sub obedience thing being taken into account. It makes it less theatric as you call it (though I don't really see it that way) and more about the other aspects.

I just couldn't... steer away from the drama. I'm that kind of person, I'd be saying stupid s**t and all.

I think, like Pat said, it depends on who you're with and love, trust, and respect.
It probably wouldn't be so ridiculous and over-dramatic if you approached it right, I guess. I don't know because I haven't tried it.

I don't like her lips... And she's a bit too tan. When their skin starts to turn reddish orange... Blech... And her eyes aren't that great either.

Definitely not the best choice, to me, but whatever.
That look is popular with the media these days, so...
I hate tans. Natural looks best to me.
She seems too skinny or something to me.
And her face is ... not great.
