Karen noticed the sky began to lighten a little. "Well, that isn't to good, is it?" She said aloud.
Minty lifted her head and looked at Karen groggily.
Karen smirked over to Maia, and than down to Minty. She picked up Minty, and raised her behind her head. "Minty, go bring Maia back." Karen said as she then threw Minty way from the ship.
Minty rolled through the air. She seemed to disappear, as she appeared as a large demon cat, still flying through the air. She landed on a rock, and pounced her way to where Maia was. She landed near the incomplete lighthouse and looked at Maia. 'Need a ride?' Minty spoke through her mind to Maia.

The werewolf glared at the cat, her natural loathing for cats evident in her eyes. "Scat, Pussycat. I don't need your help." She continued walking.

Karen watched Minty and Maia across the way.
Minty seemed to disappear and than landed behind Maia. She grabbed onto Maia collar on her shirt lightly. Tosses her up in the air, and than jumping up after her, Maia would now be riding on Minty. Minty darted from the land and reached the rocks quickly. Jumping quickly from rock to rock, she would end up landing on the ship. She now stood next to Karen as she sent to Maia, 'Sorry, I had to do that.'
Karen looked at the demon cat by her accompanied with Maia. She chuckled a little at the two.

Disoriented, Maia tried to stand wobbling a bit on her uneasy feet. She started wheezing until she coughed up blood, holding her chest. She tried to pull back her black hair so it wouldn't get matted in with the blood, slowly standing and rubbing her head and sore stomach. Her body was still fragile no matter how stubbornly she rejected.

Karen looked worriedly at Maia. "Maia, do ya want to get something to eat? Or maybe rest a bit?" Karen said softly as she patted Maia on the back a little.
Minty began to shrink very quickly. In just a few moments, Minty was a small cat again. She meowed and than run off inside the ship. She went down a hallway, entering the room Karen was assassigned. She pounced up onto the bed, and rolled up into a ball.

Maia wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, getting up. She rasped, "I'm fine." Her eyes were racked with pain, her desperate attempt to escape making her feel foolish. Using the railing, she walked back towards the inside of the ship, not knowing where her room was because she was still blinded when she had been walked out.

Karen sighed a little as she followed Maia. "Maia, you are just so tough, huh?" Karen asked her as she still followed her. She looked down the hallway where her room was located and thought about residing back into her room. Then she just decided to stay with Maia for a little while longer, until she felt that Maia didn't feel as lost as she was.

Maia didn't reply, awkwardly roaming the hallways. She followed a delectable scent of juicy steak and suddenly realized that it was her room. She smiled slightly walking towards the plate but seeing not nearly enough of the meat. "What a doll," she commented under her breath but passed it and lay down exhaustedly.

Karen stood in the doorway of Maia's room. She smiled as Maia layed down on the bed. "Maia, I'm goin' to head to my room. Please get some rest, ok?" Karen said to her. She then stepped in the room a little. "After you are done resting, maybe we should high-tail it outta here?" Karen said a little quieter than the first remark. She smiled sweetly, and then turned to leave the room.

Maia stared at her food, to tired to get up and feed herself. "Yeah...that's what I've been saying all along." she mumbled, hearing the door close.
However, the next morning, she came down with a fever. Sawyer and Tori were gathered around her bedside, trying to get her to drink and eat but to no avail. "She's not cooling down." Sawyer remarked, wiping his brow. Tori squeaked anxiously. "Then what are going to do?! That Karen girl is not going to be happy..."

Karen awoke from her nap feeling as if she had been beat up. She rolled in her bed groggily and covered her face from the sun. She pulled the sheet over her head and tried to fall back asleep. To no avail, Karen could not go back to sleep. Karen sat up and noticed Minty was sleeping soundly at the end of the bed. She slipped out of bed and fixed her hair. She opened her door and slipped out of her room. Coming down the hallway where Maia's room was, Karen noticed that the door was opened. Karen walked up to the door and saw Tori and Sawyer standing by Maia. She came into the room and said, "Is something the matter?" Karen looked worriedly at Maia.

Sawyer looked over his shoulder and frowned at Karen. "She's----" "Dying!" Tori blurted out, sniffling pathectically. Sawyer ignored this. "She's come down with a fever...she has to stay in bed for a few days until it calms down." Maia rolled over slightly, twitching as they injected her with something.

Karen looked at the two and held back her laugh. "Sawyer, this is that bad, huh?" Karen said as she watched Maia being injected with substances. "Are these suppose to help her?" Karen said 'accidently' knocking over the whole box of medicines. She frowned and looked like she was about to cry. "Oh my gosh! I am such a klutz..." Karen said as she started to sob. 'Maia better be very appreciative for what I am gonna do for her.' Karen thought to herself as she covered her face and cried very loudly.

Tori hugged Karen, sniffing and slowly sobbing herself. Sawyer saw Maia drift into another sleep, sighing as he stood. "It isn't to help her....it's to help them," he said, seeing the bottles roll on the floor but the major ones managed to stay in the box with the rest of the bottles. He looked back caringly at Maia. "If this doesn't blow over soon...they all could risk dying." Tori sobbed more. Maia breathed slower now, a few trickles of sweat dripping down the sides of her face.

Karen sniffed a little as she tried to stop her crying. "B-but...you don't need these to help her out. If ya happen to have the right herbs I can make something for her." Karen was remembering a really good concoction that she found in the books in the old shack on the mountain side. Her mother had left it for women who were having troubles with child birth. Karen sniffled again as she watched the liquids from the bottles disappear.
