Calix The Muse's Tip #8:

Try not to dive headfirst into a story. Sure, you may come up with four pages worth of ideas, but that doesn't mean you should just post (like on fanficiton.net) the first thing that comes to you. Try to refine the wild thought and make it smooth. Plan your novel, fanfiction, or whatever it is. Having a course of action makes for smoother sailing.

My tip #1: It mostly get overlooked by many out there because of the fact that many say "I can't write" Or they are just stuck in a rut. Look outside your windows and just imagine what you could be doing, what life could be like in another person's house, then take out a sheet of paper and without thinking of those things and allowing subconsious thoughts to come to mind, JUST WRITE! Too many people these days neglect writing for the small notion that they forget the beginning stages of writing. You have to write in order to write. I've learned the best way to do so is to not think while writing. You tend to get some better ideas in my aspect.

And NEVER WAIT for inspiration.Inspirations Always come out if you writes.

Murph tip 2: If you are doing a red robin don't try and make a total diffrence from what other people are doing. Say this was a serius story, don't go saying that his parents were killed by penguins.

Write any scene that comes to mind. It can help with the plot and everything. In my lastest story, I wrote the entire ending before the beginning. It helped me figure out what I wanted to do with the story before that.

Before writing, always plan. I know this probably already has been put forth, but diagrams help. For eggsample, draw like a sorta tree diagram, with the central character then branching out with events, plot ideas, and relationships with other characters and things about the MC him/herself.
