Leo laughed and batted at her nose. He had definintly been away from her for much too long. "I went to go try and find Piper, I haven't seen her in a while. I think she is getting a little depressed and antisocial lately." He shrugged and smiled at her before nuzzling the top of her head and playfully nipping her ears. "But you didn't answer my question missy." He said giving her a mock stern look. "Is there anything troubling you?" He searched her eyes as if he might be able to read into them and see what she was thinking.

*Smirking Nala moved herself to circle him, before speaking.*
"Nothing, just missing you."
*She grinned slyly before tapping his paw with her own. He made her smile and do other things beside sit around and wallow. Her eyes light up as he smiled at him- but... then she stopped and looked down, speaking in a rather cool tone.*
"Sarafina and I got into a fight and we are no longer speaking, Leo."
*She moved her eyes to his as she spoke, as if trying to show him it really did bother her. She did not mind that fact that her mother wanted to move on, but the fact that she could leave Nala, it hurt deeply.*

Leo licked her cheek and stared at her with a concerned look on his pale blue face, his golden eyebrows arched in concern. "What happened?" He didn't want to draw up old wounds but maybe if he knew he could help somehow.

*Nala frowned and looked away from him slightly.*
"She joined the outlands and left to help other cubs, and now acts like I was never born."
*Nala was just upset. She wanted herself to be friend with her mother, not act like she wasn’t even there.*

"I'm so sorry Nala." He bent over her and wrapped her in a lion hug, using his head and one foreleg to hold her. "I hope things will be right between you two one day." He licked her neck and then sat back up, letting his tail rest on hers. "No, I think she might be in the mainlands somewhere, but I'm worried she might turn to the outlands.... She seems so reclusive all the time." He gave her a weak smile and and then looked up at the sky, thinking.

Thump, thump, thump. His heart was pounding so fast within his chest, it would seem like the entire world was sharing the beating sound within him. Mirage had just finished chasing a few gazelle around, not particularly for food, but perhaps for pleasure?
He thudded upon the ground, beneath the shade of a tree that he had never seen before. A smug little grin was planted upon his maw, as he lifted his front paw upwards, and gave it a few generous licks. That rough tongue scraped loudly upon his pads, and he didn't mind it one bit.
His long and somewhat-fringed tail swayed and moved upon the grass, pressing the blades down from it's weight and strength. Ah, it was quite a nice day for him to do whatever he pleased. It was the first time he was so out in the open, in an area where other lions may be, but Mirage knew that none would cause him any trouble .. dare they face his wrath.

*Nala moved herself to stand beside Leo, as she narrowed her eyes. It seemed as though a rather large male lion had moved himself into the pride lands. Witch was odd, Nala knew most of the lions here, but he was not one of them. He was dark and had a rather cool look to him. She moved himself out a bit, as if to go see this new male.*

He almost seemed playful and approachable, the way he sat there .. so happy, licking away at his fur. Mirage was just enjoying the rush he got from playing around with the animals that had absolutely no chance against him. Heh. He wasn't malicious towards them, he was just having some rough fun!
Continuing to carelessly clean himself, and play with the plantlife with his tail, he seemed to hum softly. But, that was soon paused as one ear slowly started to rotate around, so he could listen to the area behind him. Soft cracks and snaps could faintly be heard, the sound of twigs breaking and crisp blades of grass being bent downwards. Someone was approaching him.
His manner didn't change .. He didn't want whomever was coming near to know that he had already spotted them. But .. soon the being approached closer, and closer .. the sounds were getting louder and ringing like fire within his ears.
Within a split second, he had lunged up from his relaxed position and he tackled the being to the ground, pinning them forcefully down against the grassy floor. His extremely large paws pressed hard into the creature's shoulders, and his weight was so overwhelming that he knew it could not move.
His eyes narrowed and he glared at the being ... but then he realized, it was a lioness..! A devious grin grew upon his maw ...
"Hello .." He spoke in a soft, yet deep voice .. it was so mesmorizing..

Leo was taken by such surprise as the large male lion attacked he barely had time to react. But once he had gotten ahold of himself he growled and lunged at the lion, even though he was bigger than him. "Get off of her!!" He shouted as he rammed into his side.
Piper grew bored of watching all of the stupid meanderings of the other lions and traveled aimlessly towards some trees. Without realizing it she had wandered into the pridelands. She surveyed the land and raised her eyebrow. There was some sort of scuffle going on up ahead and she recognized Leo''s bright coat. She grinned, and he said SHE was the one who was always getting into trouble. She began walking towards them, keeping her eyes and ears alert.

*Nala's eyes went wide as she lay back, her heart felt like it had stopped. Her back hurt slightly, after such a pin, but she did not mind it, she was too cought up in who had jumped her to even bother with her light pain.*
"He- hello..."
*She stammered before moving herself to close her eyes, feeling a bit odd now.*
"Arghm... mind getting off of me now?"
*She spoke in a very soft tone, feeling embarrassed now.*

A charming bat of his deep violet eyes were given, as he bowed his head respectfully to the female ... but soon he was hit off of her! His large body skid across the grassy floor, leaving a deep imprint within the ground. Oh, his attacker was quite good ... but, too bad for him, Mirage already knew his weakness. How could thinks become anymore perfect in this situation? The sound in the male lion's voice proved to him that he cared for this female, and Mirage would play on those emotions.
His facial expression changed .. as he pushed himself back up from the ground quickly, standing on all four paws .. he wasn't hurt at all, he did not even flinch. That evil little smile curled along his maw, as he pawed his way back towards the female before the male could react.
"Ah, my apologies, m'lady ..." He curled his tail to touch delicatly along her jawline .. and he flashed a smirk to the male, who was obviously very furious that Mirage was even there. "I did not mean to startle you like that .. You just surprised me.. Please accept my deepest regrets.." His words were normal, just like anyone elses, but they were spoken in such a tone that they seemed almost like poetry, like a song..

Leo picked himself up off the ground and glared at this new male lion. He was practically shaking with jelousy as HE touched Nala. "Excuse me!" He said as he came around behind Nala and stood close to her, his side right beside hers. He continued to glare at him and his tail twitched in anger.
Piper watched from the shadows of a nearby tree and tried not to laugh. Poor Leo, he was just too nice, he really didn't know how to react. It was pretty hilarious. On the other hand she did feel kind of bad for him, he had it bad for Nala. Personally she thought their whole relationship was corny and disturbing... but no matter. He was her brother, in spirit if not blood, and she decided to go see what she could do. She walked out from behind the tree but stayed apart from the other three, she wasn't one for company lately. "Hey there Leo, Nala. How's it going?" She stated with a grin. It was quite obvious how it was going.

*Nala's eyes went wide as she moved herself back up. Leo had never acted like that before. She frowned, but found herself eyeing the new male. He was very dark and mysterious. She felt herself go light headed as he moved himself closer to her and plays his tail along her chin. She moved back slightly, almost blushing as he spoke.*
"..It's... alright..."
*She was taken back by his words. She did not know why but he was making her feel dizzy. She moved himself to sit, before letting out a breath of air, she was stunned. She eyed Leo before smiling dully at Piper.*

[ Sorry for the delays. ;o; I refresh the page and it never shows new posts, until I try to make a new post .. >< ]
A fire seemed to spark and kindle inside of him. He was right about this male .. he felt something for the female that he was admiring at the moment. He felt that if he wanted, he could crush this blue lion within moments .. but he decided to string the jealousy along.
"You're excused .." He said smoothly, laughing ever so softly underneath his breath .. His breathing was deep and husky, adding to his overbearing masculine aura. But, as he was about to gracefully let his tail linger along the female some more, he noticed a new female approaching, and his heart grew. It certianly was his lucky day.
Mirage turned around, to face the new darker female .. and he gave that ever-so-charming smile .. She was quite different looking than the other female .. somewhat shaded like himself. He wanted to now spend time with each of these two ladies .. without the company of the jealous male.
"Ah .. So you all know eachother?" He gave a confident smile to Nala and Piper .. "Well, then, allow me to introduce myself.."
He bowed his head low, and curled his long tail around the left side of his body, leaving the tip within the air. "I am .. " he spoke softly, bringing his crown back up again .. His darkened silver mane fell across his face, covering one of his eyes.."Mirage."

Leo was liking this lion less and less and it was very obvious on his face. He moved himself even closer to Nala and wrapped his tail around her. For some reason he wanted to be as close to her as possible, she seemed to be in some kind of... trance or something because of this male and he DID NOT appreciate it. He nodded to Piper but was too wrapped up in his own issues to do much else.
Piper raised her eyebrow at the male lion and grinned. Well he was handsome enough, he was a little odd though, he spoke as if he was singing and every movement he made was a tad over the top. She stifled a small laugh, but it looked like whatever he had done was working on Nala, and Leo was NOT too happy about it. She gave Mirage a cool look and smirked. "Well I am..... Piper, and that is..... Leo, and this is..... Nala." She said in a mocking tone. He acted like he was a king or something. She had to admit though, he was a sight, and that smile was a little.... hypnotising.... She shook her head slightly and resumed her annoyed look. But he was still just a male, and all males were jerks.
