Rumania Oh yeah! The Borders near me has a lot of manga and are now getting anime merchandise too! It's weird but cool. I used to only see those fleece character/cosplay hats at AX but now they're in my local stores. confused I just wish people would wear them to the store and stuff! Talking about the Borders in the Los Altos Center? I'm actually going there today after work because devilangelcholo wants to read the final volume of GTO then I think I'll head over to Amazing Comics from there, I need to see if they have any I-no figurines for a good reference when I cosplay as I-no, that costume is gonna be a pain I've already been checking out prices for vinyl, $10+ for 1 yard of 4-way stretch vinyl yeesh that expensive. Did I just go way off topic? Sorry XD

LavenderSakura i was looking around in forums and such.. and i noticed that there are many different places to get anime and little trinkets and stuff... so i thought all of us being anime fans of some sort. I figured it'd be nice to help some people out by giving them places to get the best deals for not only anime and manga but maybe fabric for cosplay, little anime tokens such as plushies...etc. v And the fact that most of us live in southern california, it would be a lot easier to get to a place... hopefully... sweatdrop
Ok... i guess i'll go first... near my house there's this wearhouse that sells practically everything from trading cards... to anime to.. weird bizzarre stuff people use for voodoo... and swords and all that stuff... People rent a space and set up a little shop and there are gqute a few anime stores... and this has been by far one of my best places to get the latest anime and manga and the little trinkets that come in between. The anime I buy there usually doesn't come in dubbed.. or else it'sd be really expensive but on rare occasion they do... but mainly it's subbed... ((just in case)) and you're able to buy a whole series or season ((26 episodes)) for $30 which i must say is a pretty good deal even if most are subs.. and some might be bad subs too.. xDD but whatevers...
For example... I went to AX and was hoping to buy Last Exile ((26 episodes subbed and dubbed)) it was about to cost me $106 but here it cost me $33 for the same amount of episodes ((subbed and dubbed))
well if any of you are interested this place is called Frank & Sons Collectibles... I'll put the address and I'm sure you people could just yahoo map it... if you guys want to go...
19649 San Jose Ave. City of Industry, Ca 91748
telphone# (909) 444 - 7955
I know where that is...I havent been there in a while... Unfortunately, they have the tendency to sell bootleg anime... I'll either go to Orbit in Daimond Bar (Across the street from Mt. SAC), or Anime Club in the Montclair Mall. Theres another store across from Pasadena City College, called Kawaii Anime. Its a quaint little store with some pretty good stuff.

Iluvnekokunsmile celestial_aurora Frank & Sons is the best place ever. i've never been there myself but my brother goes there often with his friends. he comes back with the best stuff. i always give him money to get stuff for me from there. 3nodding well, i usually go to Little Tokyo in LA. Anime Jungle - this place has the best anime merchandise. and the store owners told me that they actually go to Japan to get their stuff. and they have a huge collection of dvds too. Kinokuniya Bookstore - i usually go here to buy my manga and other anime books. and i also go there to get artist supplies. and they have really nice Prince Of Tennis merchandise. and there's this other anime store, i forgot what it was called. but it's near to Anime Jungle. anyways, they have dvds there that they sell for really cheap. like they have the whole series of .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, both subbed and dubbed, for only $21. and i bought the whole series of Chobits, both subbed and dubbed, from them for only $40. and they have lots of J-Pop and J-Rock cds, Japanese video games, and anime t-shirts and school uniforms. I think I know of the place your talking about. Its the used manga store isnt it? its like on the outside of the building where the Anime Jungle is right? yeah, it's like on the side facing the street.

My friend and I bought Azumanga Diaoh there for like 40 bucks. I was so happy when I got it. I dont know the name, it just has a black awning above the door with used manga and dvds written in white. I must go to Little Tokyo and China Town again soon. Oh, speaking of which theres a mall type structure in China Town where the sell anime items. Gundam Models are pretty cheap in one of the places but I dont remember the names....when I go there Ill post the names and locations if I remember to get them.

I sometime like to read the manga that they have at Borders. I think that the last time I went there they had real japanese manga like Death Note and Ichigo 100%. I need to go back there when I have the money and time to spend.

Pulp Fiction which recently opened about a year ago near the Long Beach City College. They do special orders and carry anime and manga at discount prices at times. Plus they hold classes on how to draw manga on the weekends. The owners are cool and really friendly.
