Yea Micky is always a proud Monkee. No matter what anyone says about it. You KNOW if there was talk about an reunion he'd be the first to sign up. Probably even drop current plans for it.

Davy... yea... he usually is fine with it. Likes using it for his own profit as well. I think he'd sign up if he had some time off of his current touring and whatnot.

Peter, I think he's fine about, but not as much as Mick or Dave. He rathered them have done more Headquarters things but they didn't. And he's all about the music, especially after the show was done. Now I don't think he minds his Monkee past but doesn't think much of it. If they were to talk about a reunion he might agree if there was some time .. he has his own band so he might agree when there was time to fit it in. Given enough money and convincing.

Mike.... yea... he doesn't want anything to do with it. I'm wondering who scarified their life to Mike as an offering to get him to be with them the last time when he finally joined the reunion. And NOW I'm sure they'd have to offer him a small 3rd world country to even be in any sort of Monkee reunion for even a week.

So when i think about it personality wise. I usually place it Micky, Davy, Peter Mike... not just with Monkees but in general. Seems to fall in their Monkee-acceptance.

People sometimes blame Peter for quitting, like he was betraying the group.... he wasn't. I actually back him up... if I was him I'd have done that to probably.
It had that glimmer of headquarters where they were and actual group. 4 guys plus some others, in a studio, workin hard and getting the stuff recorded themselves. Yet with lots of fun (and 'stuff') in it.
Then it turned back into a commercial money making device.
So I still don't blame him.

Mike wanted to make it his own 'band' then, but it was already a dying animal.






I always saw it as... the Monkees were dying. It was like... finally took it last fall. Peter quitting was like... a mercy blow to it.
kinda like putting an animal down. make them numb first, then kill them. Peter leaving made it numb, Mike leaving delivered the final shot. Then it took its last wheezing breaths before Davy and Micky decided to let it die.

Then it resurrected like a phenix for a few short times. out of the ashes.










God don't ask where THAT all came from LOL

I wish they'd have done a 40 yr. reunion. =(

I think they all should make amends and get over their past differences. Mostly Mike, since Micky and Davy and Peter seems to mostly fine with each other usually.

Because soon they won't be able to. And they were all big parts of each others pasts... =(
