Perhaps an ongoing alphabetical list of ailments and herbal help for them?
And maybe in reverse of that, an alphabetical list of herbs and their uses...

Somewhat like the price lists, or store lists....Someone could create the thread, and then each post would be a letter....
Any time a person mentions the use of an herb...or the cure/help for a problem, quote them and stick it in the appropriate letter. When another comes up, the same person would have to do it, or a mod, because no one else can edit posts, but it could be posted alphabetically before or after the other one in the post, so it's always in alphabetical order.

Hm... I'm not sure. I mean, I can see how it'd work, but there's also keeping in mind that a lot of herbs are "iffy" on their uses. Some say they're great for one thing, and then another book will say it's useless for it. *frowns* But we'll keep working on it. ^-^

We'll have to try working on it though. Maybe have a sticky that keeps up with stuff that's been previously discussed for new members to look at. Especially if we have to clean out the guild eventually.

Had a thought today at work: What if instead of listing it by herb, we make a list by ailment area? Not "sore throat" or "stuffy nose" but "Head" "Throat and nose" "ear" "Digestive" "Reproductive" "Leg and foot" ect, ect? Then, when looking, we may have contradicting information, but at least there would be a large range of ideas for each ailment? And, if we put it all on one page (the first fifteen posts) Then you could simply use word-search (ctrl+f) to find the herb you want?

Nemone sounds like a good idea to me It'd take me a bit to code all that, let me work on it in my other guild and I'll see if I can't get the thread prettified. Then we can post it here and make modifications from there? (I like to be able to at least get the coding and organization done.) We also really need to look into advertising. We're starting to slow down, and even our regular members aren't posting as often. (Malkut, I know, is away.) We should look into a way to get the word out that this isn't just a guild for hippies and witches. (No offense intended, of course.)

rofl None taken. And I know what you mean. It's really slowing down. I try to come in here at least a few times a day and post but there's hardly anything to post a response to.

I was thinking about buying an add but I don't know what I'd put in it... Can you only put words in it or can you do pics too? I think that it's only words and links.

The ads are only words and a link. I had an idea on that, actually.
Whomever posts the add will be spending $5. That's the price of two letters. So that the cost is spread evenly, the REST of the guild members can chip in and either buy (with gaia gold) two letters for that person, or give them the equivalent gold price. smile

I'll post the ad- lets see what we can do about that wording though! I know! heart A contest! A temporary contest, mind you, and probably not for anything more than... Uhm... *browses her inventory* I dunno, something small, but its mostly for fun. (Nem, you should so keep the "banner contest" thread and turn it into just a contest thread. XD) Everyone can write an ad they think is best and then we can all vote on which one to use! heart Yes, no?

Ohh! That sounds good.
Maybe the person who writes the add is exempt from having to put in their share for the add cost.
