Ino watched the creature walk ahead of her and join a dog a few yards up. They both seamed to just stand there, almost like they were talking.
This is too strange. That dog bears and uncanning resemblance to Sakura's old Sensei.
Ino moved from the bush slowly and approched the two creatures when her suspisions were confermed.
"Haruno!"
Ino approched the dog and fox who were promptly beginning to walk ahead of her.
"Haruno... did you do this!"

'She is too cute.' Kakashi thought to himself as he listened to Sakura's curious rambling. Honestly, though... if he actually had a choice as to whom, out of his team, to walk with... it would most certainly be Sakura. If it was Naruto, he probably wouldn't have figured the situation out yet and be bickering loudly and annoying like his usual self. If it was Sasuke, he would probably be all moody and complaining about this whole situation like some grumpy old man. So, Sakura was good. She wasn't grumpy nor obnoxious; but rather content with a slight hint of curiosity. Kakashi could not have been any luckier.
"Haruno!"
... Okay, so maybe Kakashi thought too soon and jinxed his luck; because along came the identical female twin of Naruto.
"Haruno... did you do this!"
Stopping in his tracks at the sound of the squealy obnoxious voice, Kakashi turned around to indirectly meet the infuriated... ground hog.

Thinking about accepting the current problem of being a fuzzy creature, Sakura's thoughts, and mumblings, were barged right into by none other than her biggest 'rival'.
"Fan-freaking-tastic." she thought, unbemused by Ino's sudden outburst and accusation. "Ino..." she said calmly, her sentence trailing as she turned to greet the Yamanaka, "Yo-you're a... GROUND HOG?!!?"
The pink-cheeked fox could've have fallen to the ground and died of laughter at that moment. Those beady eyes and course brown fur. It was too much. But even Sakura wouldn't dare offend her by calling her out on it.
"Er," she began again, "Sorry, but do you honestly believe I have enough skill to pull off a stunt like this? And why, praytell, would I change myself." All this time she managed to surpress the hysterical giggling threating to bubble up. "Oh!" She suddenly remembered, "I'm sorry Kakashi-sensei. That pig over there can get carried away."

Not that anyone could tell, but Ino was currently fuming at the comment and laughter coming from Sakura.
"Billboard-brow, you'd change yourself just to look innocent. But anyway, your right, you don't have enough skill to pull this off."
And with that, she brushed harshly against Sakura as she waddled by.
"Excuse me, Kakashi is it? you woulnd't be able to point me in the dirrection of Tsunade-sama's office would you? Being this small makes me loose my sence of dirrection."

Inside his head, Kakashi had probably come up with over 100 witty or sarcastic replies due to that very question, but he decided to take the gentleman route and scrap them all from his mind before any of them managed to leak out.
"Walk just a little further up this street until you reach the bakery on the corner; take a right and follow that road until you reach the book store at the next corner; take another right; cross the road; and the town hall is right there. You can't miss it." Kakashi informed her, feeling increasingly like one of those local old men who stood outside their shop all day, dusting their doorstep and helping out any passer-by tourists in need. He's usually the one to ask for directions, not give them. Actually, he never really bothers with directions, period.
He was atleast thankful she had not asked to walk with them.

She could just manage to pretend it was a semi- normal day without Ino... Wait. It wasn't a normal day without her popping up. Kakashi finished directing little miss snooty, and the continued at a slower pace, the fox staring at the waddling ground hog slightly ahead of them.
"Why does she have to be so intruding?" Sakura sighed to herself. Her friend/rival was dear in her heart, but not when she so blatently addressed her superior. "Can't you mind your manners, pig? Kakashi-sensei's not some gossiping old bitty that you can ask anything you please to. He deserves respect."

[[Dibs on Sasuke! ^-^]]
Sasuke woke up at his usual time of 4:30 and stared in the mirror.
"Holy..."
He leaped out of bed and was in awe.
I'm a cat? How did this happen? Ugh...NARUTO!
He walked around for a bit, the awkwardness of being naked keeping him uncomfortable.
Oh when I see him I'm gonna....
He looked out the window. Feeling Kakashi, Ino, and Sakura's chakra, he leaped onto the first-story roof, onto a nearby vendor stall, and down to the ground. There, he caught sight of the trio.
Eh? They're animals, too!
Regaining his senses, he approached them.
"What happened? Was this Naruto's fault? I knew one day he would do something stupid like this..."And then he realized his mistake.
Oh no, Ino...don't go all cutesy since I'm a cat...

Well, kakashi was certainly impressed. "Why thank you, Sakura. It pleases me how loyal you can be at times." he complimented - very cheesily, of course. But it was the truth. During physical battles, Kakashi could naturally defend himself very well enough to usually not acquire the assistance of others, but when it comes to mental strength... Sakura is always great to have around.
Before Kakashi was just about to take his next step, a voice directed them and along came the next installment of the 'Disturb Kakashi on his journey to the Hokage's offfice' series.
Kakashi sighed. "No. It has absolutely nothing to do with Naruto. I don't know what is going on... but the one solid fact we do know is that we have all, someway or another, transformed into animals." he stated, rather carelessly by now. He really was starting to get annoyed with this whole informative figure.

"Well excuse me little miss perfect, I didn't realise Kakashi-sensei meant that much to you. After all, he's not my sensei, how would I know what status rank he held? Thank you, Kakashi-sensei for the dirrections."
And Ino then noticed the cat that apporched.
"What happened? Was this Naruto's fault? I knew one day he would do something stupid like this..."
Ino perked up. Granit she was all over Shikamaru these days, trying to catch the lazy nin's attention, but she would never pass up an oppotunity to marval at how cute Sasuke Uchiha was.
"Sasuke-kun?! Is that you? Awww... your such a cut litte kitty. If I had hands..."
Blushing, although none could tell with her current appearence, she stopped her sentence and just stared at him, supposidly smiling.

Sakura smiled happily when Kakashi addressed her. It was always fun to get compliments, no matter how silly they sounded, but her joy vanished after what Ino said.
"It's merely a matter of common courtesy, Ino," she replied angrily, her sharp canines grinding. "Some people know how to act around others."
Then Sasuke showed up, rays of sunshine emanating from him as usual... not. Sakura really didn't want to see that emo kid on a day like this, especially when she'd been enjoying the quiet company of Kakashi. Their party seemed to be growing at an annoying rate. No longer did she dote on the dark haired rogue. But he was a cute fluffy kitty, absolutely opposite to his personality, unless he's the type of cat that bites the hand that feeds it.
"That must be it," she thought to herself. She wanted to get away quickly. This made obvious by her tail swishing vigorously back and forth, dusting the ground with each motion.
"Er, Kakashi-sensei?" she asked aloud, "Why don't we keep going and try to get to Tsunade-shishou's office before too huge a line forms?"

Sasuke winced.
"I'm not cute, Ino. Isn't there something you should be doing?"
When Sakura mentioned for Kakashi and her to leave her almost cried, "Don't leave me with Ino!", but he controlled himself.
"See ya. Kakashi. Sakura." He nodded at both then began walking away casually, hearing Ino's trot-trot-trotting of her hooves.

[um, pixelpiggie... ino is a ground hog, not a horse.]
---
Shikamaru was really starting to hate this. He never realized that porcupines were so bloody slow. It already took him an entire hour just to make it into the city.
After seeing the streets infiltrated with none other than several more animals, it took him no longer than ten seconds to figure out the situation.
But then a particular mentioning, as he went by, happened to cross his minuscule ear.
"I'm not cute, Ino. Isn't there something you should be doing?"
Shikamaru quickly averted his attention to the speaker, who was in the form of the cat; and the one being addressed, who was in the form of a ground hog. Then he realized who atleast one of them was.
"Ino?" Shikamaru asked, staring directly at the ground hog.
---
'Ah, ma Cherie! Goddess of heaven! Sakura, darling! THANK YOU.' Kakashi praised in thought. "Yes, I think that's an excellent idea, Sakura." Kakashi agreed; much more coolly than his true thoughts, however.
Then he noticed the porcupine who had just come up to them, and before getting the wonderful chance to be noticed, Kakashi quickly turned around and began walking - at a much quicker pace, too.

Ino smiled at Sasuke. He was as adorible as a kitty on a cloud. But she knew he'd not just admit it.
"You are too, -"
Ino stopped herself when she noticed the porcupine.
"Ino?"
"Shika-kun?"
Ino waddled over to the porcupine and examined him carefuly, after all, she didn't want to get stuck.
Well isn't this just great... now how can I hold him. He's all... prickly.
She pouted and looked at the spikey-nin.

[[Yeah, I know, but don't ground hogs have hooves?...]]
Sasuke rolled his eyes. Then looked over at Shikamaru.
Now's my chance to get away from her!
He began taking slow steps backward, examining their new party member at the same time.
Damn. I should have been a porcupine.

"So long Ino-pig, Shikamaru, and Sasuke," Sakura chimed, relieved to be leaving. She did feel a little bit bad for Shikamaru, after all, he was Ino's usual subject of affection. At least he had spines.
They past a small tea shop quite a few store fronts down from where they had been, and Ino's random comments were still able to be heard. Why couldn't everyone just calm down? Admittedly Sakura hadn't been such at first, but there was no reason to get all worked up. She doubted there'd be some sort of major crisis that would happen to the village... unless, of course, that was someone's plan! Great. Now she made herself worry, again.
"So, sensei," she she began somewhat nervously, padding along beside the now faster moving Kakashi, "Do you think Tsunade-shishou will know who did this and how to fix it?"
