He laughed and shook his body. "Oh no, I think I have a stain now!" he joked with her and walked around her in a circle. He hadn't ever acted like this before. Sometimes it was just fun to act like a child. Was it natural? His tail wagged and he stopped. He still had bits of grass stuck on his lips and it his mouth, but he didn't totally mind. He grinned at her.

Kirei-Chi laughed as he smiled at her, catching a glimpse of the grass stuck in his teeth. She bounded over to him, and knocked into his side a bit, and kept going. The same strange feeling enveloped her again, but she didn't seem to take as much notice this time. She halted after a few feet, and turned around. She lowered the front half of her body and shook her tail in the air, looking playful.

Hakim almost falls from her knocking into him. He laughed and watched her go past him and stop. He felt strange, some feeling he had never felt before. Not really sure what it was he ignored it. He turned and started to trot towards her. "Oh? you think I'll let you get away for that?" He snickered and playfully batted at her with his paw.

She smiled back at him, happy he would play like they were just pups. She pounced around to the side of him and reared back, and pawing him as she came down, trying to knock him over.

He rolled to his back on purpose making her topple over him. He laughed as his feet hung up in the air slightly. His short tail tried to wag as he looked over at her to make sure she was ok. His golden-green eyes showed nothing but kindness for the first time. Normally they were hollow of any emotion.

Tripping over his body, Kirei-Chi landed sprawled next to Hakim. She smiled at him, in case he thought she was hurt. She lay there looking at him, wondering why she felt so close to someone she had just met.

He looked at her and smiled. "You Ok?" he asked just to make sure before pulling grass out with his little bit of claws that he had and sprinkling it on her fur laughing a little.

"Haha, yes I'm fine." She said, batting at the grass. She sighed in content and just stared at him. She was happy she had found such a good friend.

"Just making sure." He said in return and panted a little. He hadn't don't that in, well he never had that he could remember.

"You're not tired already, are you?" Kirei-Chi asked, with a mischevious look in her eyes. "Why don't we go take a swim to clean up a bit and refresh ourselves?"

"Me? No, I'm not tired." He said winking at her. "Swim?" He said puzzled. He didn't know how to swim. Or at least, he hadn't really tried nor remembers knowing how. "Sure." He said finally.

"Okay, let's go!" She said, a goofy grin spreading across her face. She turned to the north, the direction of the lake, and started to run, loving the way the cool breeze felt against her fur.

He slowly fallowed behind her. What if he couldn't swim? Well, that wasn't going to cross his mind until it was a little too late. "Lets hope it's not too cold." He said behind the female. He didn't really think that would be a problem since cold water didn't bother him.
