Neville needed his moment. Yes it was a little cruel, but this is Voldemort we are talking about. See if the Sorting hat wouldn't have been on his head he wouldn't have been able to retrieve Gryffindor's sword from the it. Thus killing Nagini and the last horcrux. It all makes perfect sense. 3nodding
Otherwise how would they have been able to kill the snake? It would have been difficult to use the Basilisk fangs on Nagini, at least I think it would be.

Well if it hadn't worked out so 'perfectly', then there would've been a helluva lot of loose ends left, and Rowling didn't want that I assume. As it was, I thought Harry's "death" was a tad overdramatic, but then again Harry seems to be a tad overdramatic. I mean come on, the breakup with Ginny scene? Nearly expected him to completely rip off Spiderman. Wish a bit more had been explained though, but leaves a wide field for us fanfic writers, ne?

4laugh Yeah definately! I know you love your fanfics.
Yes Harry is a bit dramatic, but I think that has a lot to do with how he was raised, or lack there of. Since he wasn't really raised by anyone. I also don't think being locked in a cupboard under the stairs for 9 years was much help with that. He never really learned how to communicate or play well with others. XD I think I would have some issues too if I were him. lol.

Colin Creevy's death really disturbed me. I always though of him as just so young.
If Harry died, I'm pretty sure I would've needed some therapy. I feel relatively unbalanced as it is.

STILL hate the 360 turn that Remus' personality took though, he was practically bipolar! I can understand him being under alot of stress and such but sheesh... he was an a** one minute redeemed himself the next bouncing off the walls the next....
