Gareton stood, walking out into the hall, meeting Alyxa. "good morning, Alyxa." he said to her, a small smile on his face. "I trust all is well?" The band over his eyes shifted slightly on his cheek as he smiled.

Alyxa came to a stop, and forced herself to stop readin. Her fingers gently found the back of the book, and she closed it lightly. She looked up to find Gareton, a fellow elemental teacher, before her. A bit absent minded for the moment, she gave him a quick smile and nod. "Good morning, Gareton. All is indeed well with me, and what of yourself?" Alyxa returned the book to it's former position underneath her left arm, and became more attentive to the conversation.

"truly, I am unwell." he hung his head slightly. "The halls, formerly full of students, are empty now, fewer and fewer students every year. yet still, I am overwhelmed. I cannot keep with all of the material and curriculum, for my blindness works against me." He shrugged. "I am contemplating retirement, but how could I? Darkness Instructors are hard to come by, and I can think of no one else advanced enough in the element's use in order to instruct others."

Alyxa looked at him with a bit of pity in her eye. "I know of none as great as you, either. Nor as young. You still have many years left in you, perhaps you may think of developing a different system that allows you to work with your blindness." She said, shifting her weight onto the opposite leg. "It's just a thought, really. But you may want to consider it."

he smiled slightly, but still looked rather morose. "I can instruct quite well," he said, "But I cannot recognize the face of the person learning. I can only recognize the other faculty and the elder students because I have memorized the shadows of their faces." he gestured idly, solidifying the darkness above his hand into a resemblane of what he saw, as if someone had drawn a picture of a face, but removed the face, leaving only the shading. "Also, I have no way to keep track of it all. I cannot read the papers, nor can I write in them. Perhaps you are right, and there is another method I am not finding, but as it stands, I cannot be sure the students are absorbing what i'm teaching, and it frightens me." He shivered slightly, the illusion fading. "that the true power of darkness may be forgotten, leaving only a poor substitute for elemental use."

Alyxa frowned for a moment. "Have more faith in yourself. I'm sure that your students learn everything you mean for them to, and probobly more. If the rest of us could be like you..." She cut herself off, knowing that she should do better at teaching. However, she remembered all too well from when she was a student... and that wasn't very long ago at all. I probobly shouldn't be here... I'm still far too young. She thought, not completing her unfinished sentence.

He snorted a laugh. "If the rest of you were like me," he said, "All of our papers would be in braille, and some of the teachers would be entirely unable to see with their elements, especially Bradley." He shook his head. "I should not have said any of this. The endeavours of Fire are far different than that of darkness, and there is likely little that you could help me with." he turned back to his classroom, eyeing the empty seats. "Unless, of course, you could fill all of these seats once again, with children eager to learn."

Alyxa laughed warmly. "Unless you want those chairs full of horn-mad men... I can't help you with that little problem." She smiled once again and looked down to her own classroom. "Well, I best be off now. Good morning, Gareton." Alyxa gave a slight nod of respect, before turning and moving the rest of the way to her classroom. It was vacant and quiet at this hour, the perfect time for reading. Alyxa moved to her desk and set the book down, before taking a seat herself. Lightly opening the book, she commenced her reading. Lets see... I can try this.. she thought as she came over a rather interesting portion.

((Alright. I must go for the night. However, perhaps more people will actually roleplay tomorrow? Well, lets hope so. Farewell!))

He chuckled at her comment, and replied idly. "And a good morning to you, Alyxa." He went back into the room, the solid darkness flowing around him, responding to his inner turmoil. He smiled a moment, creating shdow illusions of children, former students, filling the seats. "If only..." he said quietly to himself. he shook his head, releasing the illusions. such foolishness was unbecoming. he tapped his chin, trying to remember if he had anything planned for the day, besides his regular classes.

Bradley strode up the stairs. He was late again, but it's not like he had a reason to be here. Very few students showed up. Very few were able to pass the original test of being stranded. He himself had only barely passed. He sighed and turned a corner, to catch Gareton and Alyxa, his fellow teachers, walking into their classrooms. He padded on down the corridor until he came to a blue door, the symbol for the water classroom. He found the key and unlocked the door. Once inside, he proceeded to slip on some standing water, landing with a loud THUD. He couldn't help but laugh. He hadn't done anything that stupid in years. He then got up and regained his posture.

Mana slowly wandered through the halls, taking a short trip down memory lane. She remembered back when she had been a student, lost in the world of all these different elements. When she had finally reached the Earth grade, she knew that was her element. Some of her friends hadn't been so lucky and hadn't immediately known their element. But she was different. And so she had become a teacher here, in the hopes of finding one like herself. Suddenly, the sound of someone or something falling brought her back down to earth. What in the world...? she thought, and proceeded upstairs to see what had happened.
When she got there, she looked into the Water Room by chance and found Bradley on the floor, laughing. He got up, and Mana said, "You've finally lost it, eh? Knew it would happen some day!" She laughed.

Brad turned around, surprised at Mana's comment."What do you mean by that?" he asked.

((Suggestion: since we only have so many students, perhaps they should all have class together at once. Screw ages/grades. If we try to do it that way, it'll be 1 per class.... that's no good. Just have the kids meant for their element accel in that class. Plain and simple. Captain Obvious, signing off.))

((I like the idea. So it will be like how they used to do school in the olden days... everyone was in the same class even if they were in different grades. The idea has merit and I think we shall do that. 3nodding As for a class schedule, I think we shall set that up later when more students come. As for now, we should just roleplay... how does that sound peoples? Btw, if you're going to talk OOC, please also post IC right after your comment. Thank you.))

This was the first year of teaching for Ryoto as a teacher of the Light element. Since his passing of the final test when he was thirteen, Ryoto had left for several years to study on his own. Now, eleven years later, Ryoto was walking the halls he had over a decade earlier. However, the Light teacher never spoke of his days abroad for reasons unknown. In fact, when he returned, everyone thought he was a different man or a relative of Ryoto's, for he had aged greatly despite the fairness of his skin. Something quite fatiquing and horrible had happened to Ryoto, but whatever it was, made him quite powerful and wise. And now, as a more powerful and knowledgable elementalist, Ryoto planned to teach to the best of his abilities and make sure that every student that he had passed the final test.

Now, Ryoto walked down the hallways of his past, peering into random rooms that had meant much to him because of some event that one could just not forget despite the many years that passed. One thing that facinated Ryoto the most of his return, was how everything still looked exactly how he had left it when he was just a young lad. However, one thing that had changed he had heard, was the lack of students. Parents were now holding onto their children, not letting them go train under the greatest men and women that ever lived. For some reason, the honor of having one's child become a powerful elementalist was fading and was close to vanishing altogether; it was quite upsetting to Ryoto, but there was nothing he could do about it.
