Janessa took one more glance around the room. 'It's time.'"Class. stay seated and be quiet for a moment."She looked at Xalaharo."That includes telepathy."She then went to one corner of the room with her hands together releasing a barrier spell on that end. Then she did the same to the other three corners. When the corners completely surounded them she went to the center where she held her right hand above her head and her left hand facing the floor. She did a different version of the barrier spell completely keeping anything from entering the room. The barrier when completed, turned translucent to invisible.
Janessa went to the front of the room and said the last spell she needed to keep eavesdroppers unable to hear what went on inside.

Janessa heaved a big sigh as she placed her hands on her desk looking at the class. Her eyes showed danger, fear, relief, and something that couldn't be named. She cleared her throught. "Miss Lillian. You may sit. If you wish." She closed her eyes to form the right words then continued."This year is going to be very active for you all. You will have assignments that require many hours of your day. Homework will also be expected to be completed, from ANY class."She looked at each of them individually in turn."There soon will be two more other students joining you 8. That will make 10 in completion. The '10' of you will all be working very, very hard to do what you have to do. The school commitee has been discussing of building a hospital ward connected to the main building. It'll hold only 5 people each day."She pulled out her chair and sat down."Your jobs will injure you in some physical maybe even emotionally or spiritually. That is why we need the ward. But I am positive that not one of you will die."She paused for a moment."Xalaharo. Your dorm room hasn't been decided, I presume?"'I need to make sure everyone knows their rooms before i say the next part.'

Tomoyo was just beginning to start feeling overwhelmed as she listened to what Miss Janessa had to say. Her fingers were beginning to sweat as she conjured up many different possibilities for what their jobs were.
Jemima was very interested. She liked the idea of a challenge. But she still wanted to know more about what they were supposed to do.
Seth felt indifferent about the whole thing. He knew from the start that something was up with their small class. He just didn't put in all the details. All the while he listened he watched Tanisha. He didn't think about what she had said to him, in fact at that moment he'd forgotten. He was viewing her in a new light. Something different. Something he thoroughly liked. 'Has all that really been trivial to you...?'

'I do not know my dorm room' he said in reply. 'but I presume I shan't use it much' he thought
Rein raised his hand, at her talk of only his class, the ten that should be here, he waited to be called on before executing his question...

She nodded."Your room number is 3. As I was--"She caught Rein's hand raised."Yes, what is it?"She didn't like being interrupted, but she knew that keeping the peace, they'd need to be heard also.
((i'm coming up with an awesome reason for them. this'll be so much fun!!))

Janessa grimaced.'Too quick. I'll have to give them something to think about so that when the right time comes then I could really tell them.'"That is something you'll discover on your own. Right now I need to tell you two last things."She looked at Miss Lillian then returned her gaze to the students."Your job is to keep the school barrier up and in it's full power. Each of you will be going to one of the 10 corners that surround the campus. You'll each be at the wall. You all will under-go battles that only you can fight. With your special abilities you'll over come the monsters and trials that are there for you."Her eyes were showing intensity."Some of the trials are trivial or require strength. Sometimes it will require all of your magic. Which brings us back to the Ward. You'll each be given a warning spell. When five of you have been brought to the ward that spell will sound near you who are last standing or fighting. That'll give you more reason to win that battle and still be okay to continue until that warning spell goes off, signalling that one of the five has returned to their post. If there is more than one person who had been injurred severely after the warning bell you'll both have to race to the ward. Only one of you will be allowed in. The other will have to return to their post until after the warning bell sounds again and back to silence."She closed her eyes trying her hardest not to picture these events."Now my second list of information."She looked at Miss Lillian."Can you give me some water? And when you return wait five seconds before you re-enter.Then shut the door quickly."She reutrned her gaze once again to the students.

Tomoyo was wide eyed, scared, and excited.'A barrier...trials...it seems like we are important for some reason. but in what way? why are we so important? What are we keeping out? and why?'
Jemima was completely terrified. 'Trials?! Trials that sound like this....will i make? Will i be the first one to go down? how long will i be doing this?! what can be so hard that it'll require ALL my magic?! Sure i've gone through trials of surviving on the streets but....this...it's too scary! Oh Miss Lillian don't go!'Her face was showing a pleading expression.
'This seems like we're saving the school. What's so special about this modern day school that makes us so important to keep it running? Why must we risk our butts to save these other people or the school's stinking structure? What could possibly WANT to come here? This place is only special by its knowledge...there's not really a point...'He was annoyed by this thought.

Rein only smiled softly. 'first thing good that happens to me here, a good challenge...' he thought, looking forward to it.
Xalaharo stiffened 'could this be harder than surviving in that forest?...couldn't be that hard, could it?' his mind raced, though, he also looked forward to it...a test for his skill.

"Your studies. The things you'll be learning. Are lessons you all should take careful listening to. Every lesson may help you in your now daily routine. You will begin within five days from now. You'll start with this class early every morning before the other students awaken. Around 6:00. Class will be an hour long each. Your home work. To survive. Your jobs at the wall will last until lunch time then you'll be allowed to return eat and have the day off from those jobs. You will be expected to do research on the classes that you are not taking part in. Miss Lillian will be your main teacher throughout the year. Her classes will start when she feels they should begin. Unless I have something else for you each to do at that point in time."She came to look at them all."I will be letting you all go in just a minute. There is one assignment I have for you 8 to do while you are hanging around the Main Dorm room. Search for something...unusual. Something that doesn't seem right. And look for clues about any type of...let's just say code. Once you find it. Go to where it leads and stay there until Miss Lillian and myself join you. Understood?"She looked them all squarely in the eye."Oh. and one more thing. These jobs that you do each day. They'll earn you 25 Mall Points each day. Save it and you'll be richer than all the students here. You'll have access to things you normally wouldn't while being a normal student here at Wakanda Lindley Private School."She gave a sly grin."The only times that money will be deducted is if you are the first one to go to the ward on the first 10 minutes of your job."She stood up."I almost forgot. Another important detail. At each corner of the campus wall, there are different landscapes and weather conditions. Good luck."

((they were excused to return to their dorms or mainly the Main Dorm Room and begin their assignment. Then they stay there (at the completed assignment) and wait for Miss Lillian and Janessa to appear there. If you need a clue...the assignment is actually searching for the passward to the secret entrance to a secret room connected to the Main Dorm Room. And to find the secret entrance to the secret room. (check out the secret room topic and read info there. then you'll get an idea on what to post there after you've went through the halls again to get there. i'm sure you can figure it out. their corners are not to be seen until later. (meaning after those five days have gone by))
