What in the world happened to the contests? Oh, right. Well, Diana and I discussed them, and chose winners. And so, I locked the contest threads (they're still floating around somewhere, though), and, as soon as I'm not lazy (HA!) I will create a thread announcing the winners and send some gold out to all you lovely people.

Oh, alrighty then. Well, no pressure. It's not like I really need it. I saving up for a stupid scarf and it's like... 65000 g, and I only have 3000 g, so I have a long way to go anyway. Sorry if that doesn't make sense. I'm tired.

I still have to write that Dumbledore/Slughorn fic, but I'm getting flashes of a Snape/Lily at Hogwarts fic - probably a series of recollections from Severus' point of view - which should be both quite sweet and a little sad. And for once, it'll be a chapter fic, not just a one-shot, so that'll be fun and more challenging to write.

I really hope you write a Severus/Lily fic. I've always been a fan of that ship, ever since I read hints of it in a James/Lily fic once upon a time.

Not only that, it's practically canon now! I want to start by building on the Sev/Lily moments we see in DH, and go from there.

Hell with it, Jo, just write the damn thing. At the moment, I think everyone is reeling from the almost canon Sev/Lily that we could care less if it's in character or not. Unless you have Severus dancing through a valley of flowers. Then it would be going too far.

If the fans aren't laughing their asses off, they'll be clutching their chests after suffering a massive heart attack. razz I love Snape, but I'd be in the "laughing my a** off" group.

I can't see him dancing through the flowers, but I can see him sitting down under a tree and watching, sad smile upon his face, as Lily does so unashamedly. I can see her calling for Severus to join her, and him shaking his head and wishing, all the while, that he could just get up and be free for once, until a distant bell chimes six o'clock and he has to get up and go home, leaving Lily alone with the last fading glow of the sunset behind her.
