I actually think if you threw him into the ocean that would kill him. Since, ya know, Rip tried it but failed.

I'll have to look over the scene between Alucard and Rip again, at some point. I don't recall her trying to throw him overboard off hand. As to if it would kill him...I'm not sure. I think a vampire thrown into an ocean would "drown" in the sense that they'd become inactive and unable to help themselves, but once washed ashore somewhere they could revive, albeit very very blood thirsty.

I can't exactly remember, but I believe Rip was shooting him toward the edge of the ship and saying "fall off. Fall off and die!" or something to that extent.

Thank you for the clarification. My thought is the ocean might just keep a chipped vampire (aka Rip) down, and thus her vain frantic hope that it would do the same with Alucard.

I've been informed (ie I checked with Angel) that Rip may not be chipped, but it's assumed that she is. It would make sense as well, hence my use of the assumption above.

Good thoughts on the ocean thing.

Rip being chipped: On page 133 of V 5 you'll find Major stopping Dok from torching Rip. In my mind, the only way you can be torched is if you're chipped. So...

Well, in the OA, most fans I've talked to will agree that Alu was well and fully dead once Incognito blasted Alu's blessed silver bullets back at him... So the bullets are a theory.
Only the Power of God, channeled through Sir Integra's orders, brought him back again.

And in canonical Dracula, it's done with staking and beheading.
But, we've seen that those two things don't really do much good anymore...
Many sources of fights in the manga proves this.

Burning his coffin.... there's an interesting idea... I think it would hurt him, but not kill him directly, just weaken him/cut his options, like in 'Dracula' when Van Helsing purified the other coffin-boxes, making them unusable.

Burning his body? Unless done in conjunction with something else, wouldn't work. Look at what happened on the ship with Rip... He was pretty well engulfed in flames...

Anderson, even
Holy Relic Anderson, has tried and FAILED. And right now, Anderson is canonically by manga no longer around to fight, IE DEAD.

So I think it might be one of those 'hit him with everything you've got' type things.

He *might* stay down then. xd

OR

Judging by past (1944) actions, he seems rather afraid of Werewolves.
Perhaps Captain could defeat him. twisted
In other vampiric lores, the vampires' greatest enemy is the Werewolf. 3nodding

In Dracula he's actually killed by a Knife, Harker slashes his throat and quincey (I think) stabs him in the heart.

I think Alucard will die, I knows it might be disipointing but I just have a feeling he will somehow die by the end. Who knows how.

how is it possible to kill alucard there has to be a way any suggestions

on the last Ep. Vlad III the Impaler's face mirged with alucard's. giving a hint alucard is Vlad III the Impaler. meaning he is the first vampire.

he said after his last run in with the paladin that only humans can kill him. and in the myth of Vlad III the Impaler, only his master could "kill" him. meaning Sir Integra.

Pfft....Fangirls...They would swarm in en masse and devour him.

*rolls on the floor laughing for about 20 seconds and soon stands up, trying to relieve himself before Alucard finds him* Ahem... this has to be the funniest one I read so far...XD ... I remember reading something that only humans can kill him... however, he never said specifically who, but I have to agree with HypnoxTheDarkKnight... if I remember correctly, my cousin was reading something about Vlad III the Impaler and she was surprised that the only person that could kill him is the master... in the case of Hellsing, it's Integra.

However...-_- what kind of Vampire is Alucard? Stronger he is, the more difficult it is to kill a vampire... I mean... I created certain levels of vampires in my stories and Alucard... in my book... is a level 5... the mythical vampire... level 5 is the highest in my chart... anyways... as a level 5, he's almost impossible to kill... but to every strong person, there's a weak spot... I'll just have to figure that out...XD

Do remember, much of his mythic level power comes from the modifications and experimentations of the Hellsing family and are locked up in the power levels of his gloves. Just as Integra can release the final level of his powers, she can likely restrain those levels and thus weaken him back to normal vampiric standards.

With so many pages, one has to flip through at some point. I just have to keep all these details, probabilities and possibilities straight in my mind for the writing of fan fiction. Angel and I pride ourselves on writing a realistic and plausible fiction that continues the original anime. Means we have to do our homework though, and wind up knowing things like the above off the top of our heads! lol

warmaster tsavonglah
i say have anderson to try cause he will just keep at it until he finds a way to kill him

(Spoiler space, highlight below for further amusement)

I can just imagine Alucard out watering the roses at what's left of the mansion after all's said and done, whistling a happy tune to himself... and out of nowhere one of the rose bushes tries to maul him, and the blooms open up to be little cackling Anderson heads.

Heh, Holy Relic Anderson gets reincarnated as a plant. And yes, my brain is a strange place to be on occasion... twisted

.

(end potential Manga-spoilerifficness)

Introduce him to the copius amounts of AluAnder Yaoi and slash that exists on the net today, and he'd prolly kill himself just to be rid of the shame. wink

After annihilating all the fangirls having written it, of course.

...

Well, he DID call him his "Beloved enemy/Dear enemy..." depending on the translation you read... *is hit by a brick from nowhere* xp

Seriously though, i'm not sure anything short of the "Almighty Blatant Plot Device" can kill him off. that's the problem of making an amlost deific-level character in a story, if nothing can kill him, how do you eventually plot to write his death? Or DO you?

I can't really imagine Alucard dying. confused It wouldn't seem logical but I guess it could be done...not sure who could kill him though.
