How do you become one? And what can you do? I WANNA BE ONE!

lol i wanna be one too! whee

rolleyes
-stabs you both-

No you dont.

*comes back to life*

Yes me do.

Why in the world would you want to be a real vampire?

A fictional one I can understand. Hell, I'd love to be an Anne Rice vampire, minus the prerequisite for gay sex with young boys.

Who doesn't want to be an Anne Rice vamp? They are beautiful and powerful and just awesome all around. Plus as a chick I get to skip the gay sex.

They are. And same here. Too bad though lol XD

Oh, come on now. Beggars can't be choosers.

If you've really read the Anne Rice books you'll notice that a lot of the vampires in those stories went mad, or got themselves killed, a lot went through horrible depression, and all other sorts of dramas AND tramas.

Granted, if Ageless vampires do exist (and I have faith), they aren't far from the 'Anne Rice' vampires.. BUT either way - its not a glorious life.

If you want glory, if you want to be an aristocrat. Stay human. Because, humans have all the fun.

Yah, I dont think vampires necessarily have it made. I have heard of well, not real vamps here but real vampires in other worlds. I know a spirit that is a vampire, he is kinda an a*****e though. I dont see him anymore at all though, as since I distanced from smeone else and they talked to him to get him to leave me alone tis good stuff now(he used to visit me astrally in my dreams =/). but yah, they can often be hedonistic and not always necessarily happy either, as that kind of lifestyle, one thrill to the next, can get old and devoid of any meaning pretty quickly. Pros and cons to everything I suppose.

That's why you have to be like Lestat and switch back and forth between bad and good, stirring up calamities for all vampire kind, getting involved with witches, traveling to Heaven and Hell, etc., etc. There's always a way to spice things up, like switching bodies with a conniving thief. xd

Oh posh. Lestat is a glorious anti-hero of the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicle world. Besides, he's allowed to be erratic as it is in his personality. Plus people change over time and Lestat has nothing but time.

As for the depression and the drama, it all makes for great stories in centuries past and you can always dig a whole and sleep away those centuries that get you down.

And the dying thing, well not any worse then when we as humans die, except it can often be deliberate and intentional instead of old age...or it could be that guy I pissed off two hundred years ago, but meh. Can't have it all I guess.

Nah, all things considered I'd want to be like Claudia, now she kicked some serious child vampire a** before Armard left her in the sun to die a slow painful death.

Claudia wasn't exactly a happy camper after 70 or so years of being stuck in the body of a 7 year old.

True, but who wouldn't be a little pissed about that.

yeah they are... i have werewolf blood in my family. For many generations we have been werewolves since at least 1,000 years.

Just remember that movie vampires and werewolves are not the same thing and the real ones.

ex. crosses won't protect you form vampires, also garlic does nothing (pretty much anything from the movies are fake) same with werewolves.

Really, what makes you think you are a werewolf. And what exactly passes these days for calling yourself a werewolf?

Sometimes therian traits can pass from parent to child.
Other than that, there is something called a Physical Were - basically taking on the physical aspects of their animal (not physical shifting) in their human body; so for example they might have wolf-like features like a shorter intestine track, which allows them to only eat meat, and little of anything they can handle. If you think of an image of an early human, cave man style, that would be very close to what a physical werewolf would be.

And yea, that is genetic too.

I'm familar with general lore. I'm wondering why the poster believes she is a werewolf or her family are werewolves. I mean did they just tell her and she/he believes them. Do they have special traits, or what. The whole idea is so unlikely to me, that I'm curious what further probing will reveal.

Does this really make you a werewolf though? Sounds more like a medical condition than some sort of "magical" creature. I don't think it really connects well to what we'd call a werewolf.

So then why not call it something closer to what it is like physical cro-magnan man? I mean seems like werewolf is an inappropriate label there.

blood line. Generations of generations showed to have werewolf. My blood is just very diluted. Mostly moon cycles. Moon cycles affect my family sleeping habits and eating habits. I am a heavy meat eater but I don't think that has much to do with it.

So within your family tree is Great Great Aunt Mildred with a little cresent moon next her name to symbolize that she is a werewolf?

I gathered from your last post that you thought you were descendents of werewolves. I'm wondering if its recorded in your family tree. If your parents told you or if you and your family have some sort of special abilities that make you think this.

Moon cycles and other natural cycles affect a lot of people consciously and subconsciously. Of course it may not be the cycles that affect the people so much as the perception of these cycles. People by nature are highly suggestible. How does this make you a werewolf?

Quote:

One of my favorite foods is steak tar tar, and I love to celebrate a full moon with all sort of frivolity, but this makes me a new agey pagan with a taste for meat, not a werewolf.

I guess what confuses me most is the whole blood line idea. I mean my family history is easy to trace and while we can trace some our ancestry back to Italy where my great great great great great Aunt was by a very loose definition a Strega, that really has nothing to do with me or my life now. Of course werewolves, were they to exist, would be a different as bloodline is a factor, but I'd think tracing it wouldn't exactly be something there in print either. This leads me to assume there are characteristics and what those characteristics are and why they make you a werewolf and not just a human is probably what interests me.
