I like 'em both. Yeah, Davy Jones has some issues on letting go, but I don't really mind them considering he has an octopus for a feakin' head! Not sure why, but I find him highly amusing. He makes cool sounds, has some good lines, has a bucket, and is the most lovable heartless b*****d I know. Yes, I think he's lovable. And I think he makes a good villain. If a man with cephalopod and crab parts was after me, I'd be scared to death.
Barbosa on the other hand, is the apotheosis of cool. He has a great sense of humor, is greedy like a real pirate, and he has a undead monkey. He's the bodied form of awesome with a hat.

Barbossa is the best! I absolutly loved him in AWE, he was funny and frickin' awesome! Davy Jones come on I'm sure that Calypso even slept with Barbossa ((I know that witty Jack did)). She is a goddess she can do whatever and whoever she wants.
Every pirate is a bad guy but not always as cool as Hector Barbossa!

Yes, the mad cackle in the storm does make you think he's gone mad.
...well, madder then before.
He was never really a villain though. He just wanted to live a normal life in the first movie. Then Jack killed him right before he had a chance to taste the apple. That would make him a little testy around Jack, don't you agree.

Davy seemed kinda cool at first, but after that little speech he had that was cut in the middle by a little "pop!", I couldn't take him seriously. Besides, Barbossa is a freakin' cool character.

i do agree. i like Davy Jones because he looks really cool, but when you said that he looked like a cry baby because he got "dumped" is kinda right.
but i love barbossa, he is EVIL!! lol i love him.!!

VC Verse Chath Tiu Barbossa, no questions asked. The only thing Davy is good for is calamari and he's a fair organ player. He does seem just a tad whiny for being dumped. And just a tad loose in the head if he cuts out his heart so he won't feel anything ever again because some swamp witch loved and left? talk2hand 'Sides, Barbossa has cool undead monkey. Can't beat the monkey. Where is that monkey, anyway? I WANT TO SHOOT SOMETHING! Yeah, I know. It's supposed to be just, "Where is that monkey, I want to shoot something." ... But I was just... Shut up! Don't question me! *shoots the monkey* heart MONKEY!! heart
