"GODDAMN!!" Audyhnnh cringed at the noise. "What the F*** was THAT???" Now distracted, his firewall faded and the mob again closed in on them.

"I don't know!"
She panicked. The only thing she remembered was that last time she was there, the Brink had suddenly blinked her back. The only thing she could think of to do now was pray --hard.

*Tavin shook his head and looked back at Audyhnnh. He wasn't certain how well the guy would do if they had to fight through the mob. It was looking like Tavin would have to hurt some people. He reached into his cloak and pulled out a pair of Tonfas. Swinging them about in a ready position, he faced the mob*
I don't suppose you guys would simply let us leave without any bloodshed? I mean... We're on our way out anyhow....

Seeing the weapons being pulled out didn't help, either. She jumped and ran for Tavin, wrapping herself around his arm.
"Don't! You can't hurt these people!"
But the mob nor the Songstress seemed as forgiving, and with each note the Songstress sang, the mob moved in closer -growing bolder with each step.

*Tavin looked at Selurnis, his eyes ablaze*
Lady, YOU asked for my help in rescuing that guy. Well, I'm NOT about to die here. So unless you can think of a way to get us out of here without hurting them AND without getting us killed, then I'm going for the next best thing. Hurting them, and us not getting killed.
*Tavin shrugged off Selurnis and reached into his cloak again, pulling out a pair of sheathed daggers and tossing them to land by Audyhnnh. He had to trust that the man would know how to use them if neccessary. That done, he turned to engage the crowd*

She stood back, shocked that she had actually even managed to touch the man at all.
"What..." she wanted to ask what he was, if she hadn't passed through him then he likely wasn't entirely of the material plain.
"Can't you teleport us back into the Brink from here or something??"
At that, the mob rushed them like a stampede.

"Thanks, but I'm not going to need that if we're fighting them," he muttered. He looked at Selurnis and frowned... He would certainly loved it if they could do by her will... but that didn't seem possible.
Regaining his composure, he cast another wall of fire around the three of them.
"Maybe that'll hold them off and we can walk wherever it'd be to get out of here."

"No..." she shook her head. She couldn't recall who the man was... but there seemed to be something about him that was rather... There was not enough there for her to put her fingers on it, but she could almost remember someone back at the Brink having offered her help. Of course, she didn't know what kind of help would come along... maybe she was pressing for too much.
"I'm sorry..." she apologized quitely as they made their way away from the crowd.
But just as they started moving, the Songstress sang on a different inflection, and a few people lept through the wall of fire, seemingly unaffected by it, and proceeded to jumping on the two men (because they couldn't see the ghost).

"Ease off," he hissed, displeased with the way the strange man was talking to Selurnis. Hell, if he knew it would come to hurting people and not really finding a sure way out, he could've done it alone.
Just as he was about to add something else, though, he felt a heavy weight on his back. Two assailants had attacked him from behind, bringing him down to his knees.
"WHAT THE HELL???!!" he roared.
Finally losing his temper, he threw his arms upwards and a thundering explosion sounded as the two attackers immediately were hurled through the air by massive fireballs.

And you needed ME to rescue HIM? Exactly why?
*Tavin dropped to the ground as three people rushed him and spun, Tonfas whipping out and taking the three of them down almost instantaneously by breaking their legs. He slid into a headstand and performed a backwards sommersault, vaulting him back to his feet*
You two get the idea that the fastest way to end this would be to take out the Opera singer?

For a moment it looked like if she had a physical body, her head would explode or implode. She knew Audyhnnh could take care of himself, but the last time she left him, she passed through him which caused him to pass out, leaving him utterly defenseless.

It was obvious he resented the idea of being rescued. He got up and jerked his cloak to straighten it.
"We take out the singer," he agreed.

Coming back to her senses, she realized what the two men were planning.
"You can't!! She's the only way these people depend on to live!"
As though understanding their plan, the Songstress began on a different song. More men and women began to rush out from their houses, armed with staves and knives. Some surrounded her, forming a defense, and the others ran at the two men, eager to attack.
