So is the gameplay being simplefied? Ahh, my head hurts from all the thinking.

As long as I get to hold Gruk in my hands ((no pun intended)) then I'm happy. ^w^

No prablaimo.

You should hear me when I talk about people that love 2D games, and bash 3D games. It's thanks to them, I hate Disgaea hour of darkness. sweatdrop
WHAT Disgaea is a good game, but I'm sure I can see your point. Nothing matches a game of Halo with your friends.

I was told on the the dL from some one who knows it all .
He said there is a big chance they are completley changing the game they wanna make it easyer to play .
WE SHOULD GET A POTISION AND ALL SING IT WITH OUR REAL NAMES AN MAKE IT STATE WE DONT WANT THEM TO CHANGE THE GAME AND I CAN GET IT TO HIM

this is exactly wt pisses me off, rumors. Ther is no reason to change the game, they wont change rules, the only thingfs that will possibly change is art for the older cards and fixing up the text. other than that it will all remain the same. Think about it and you will realize how ridiculuse that sounds

hey 1cabbit do you have a Deviant art account with an account similar to your MSN name?

I dont like to argue, but i have ot say some things Dx ><

All Im saying is, I dont see them remaking the game, changing the name, changing cards. What they will do is change text and maybe some art that could have been better. The card outline/backings...no need to change that. The game name can't change that would not be a smart move. What the site tells us is that the later sets will be released and they will re-release the others. This may mean all sets come out together (of old) or a slow release. Tournament wise they will only allow play up to the latest "new" packs. But why would they say they will release the expected packs if they are going ot change everything around first? Why would they write to the fans of Magi-Nation if they are going to change the game, and it wil no longer be "Magi-Nation"

there will probally be some minor changes, things like the text for example, but thats fine and maybe some art. But changing rules, or the game name, or even the backing is not needed at all. It will cost them more money to reinvent the game then to make m inor changes and, say, reset the game.

The way the game is played is fine, I dont find it confusing, and its easy to teach. the only thing thats diffiicult is keeping track of every effect on the feild, and well theres no way to change that unless they remove powers from creatures. But then they would become like yugioh with meaningless no powered creatures. And that would inturn ruin the game. You buy a pack of cards and you know already every card in there has a use and can be used. In yugioh you hope to get atleast 1 card thats useful and throw the others out. I would hate to see the game turn into that, and Im sure they would as well.

I agree there may be some changes, but nothign that will "make a new game". ...>.> and definitly noooo name change. But they promise us a re-release and to release what was suposed to come, they do not tell us they will be giving a new game, and there is no reason for them to do so. ><

please explain to me why he is a trustworthy source of information on this game. I would assume he has a job with 2i, if not that kinda ruins it right there. Also what are the reasons he gave then as to why the game will mostlikely change? If someone just tells you something you need to get all the facts first before accepting it as truth.

ok I don't think were arguing here but call it what you want... The Name change was my Personal Idea not an official one, I already said why...
And your just restating what you've already said basically that the games fine and they shouldn't change it. But you over step key points I was trying to make with you, namely that its a business and you have to think like a business person. I promise you they will change it, if you want to hear the statements that have already been made I suggest you look them up on Yahoo MN group.

If the game changes its not Magi-Nation anymore. They say they are re-releasing Magi-Nation not a new game -_-

and from a business point of view it would be bad to change when your low on cash. Using the old stuff will cost less. And they WOULD loose old players by changing it too much.

If the old players were 2i's focus they wouldn't wait 5 YEARS to get around making the next set. Tomorrow the Website could say 2008-2009, they've already changed more than once.

when you dont have the money you cant do anything about it.

also were old players, were waiting for MND to come back. So their old fans are still here and they know that. Otherwise thier letter to fans would not say fans it would say future players of (new game name)

I'm going to have to politely disagree with you about the fan thing.
Most company's definition of a "fan" is anyone who'll buy pretty much anything they put out. Now I'm not saying that 2i is one of those companies but it's something we have to realise and come to terms with. And I'm not saying I agree that they absolutely will change the game. In fact I hope they don't. But allow me to point something out in what 1Cabbit said:
1Cabbit
He said there is a big chance they are completley changing the game they wanna make it easyer to play .

The key words there being "big chance". Meaning, that they wont absolutely change it, but there is a high probability that they will.
Either way, there is really no point in anybody getting all bent out of shape over "Facts", facts, rumors, and other peoples speculations.

I can not see a reason to change what you guys are saying they will. But w/e I am not returning to this specific thread any longer. I am not angry, I am not bent out of shape. I just dont care to talk about this anymore.

Your answer is when you don't have the money you can't do anything about it. ah how about a real statement this is what happened? That costs ah nothing...

It also would cost the same to produce a game with a new background and border.

Yes they do work for 2i and i can tell who it was but they want the game to be easyer. they think its to hard
Only thing I have to say about that is (my 2 cents again not fact) the whole Rules Digest thing didn't help much specially young players, one person would read it one way and another would read it another way and apply it to other cards. I'd go to tournaments and the Directors would constantly change back and forth what rulings were. The Errata's were a blessing for me cause they made the cards make more sense, and there was less room for wrong was to use the cards. Little kids would never make it in a tournament, they never read the Digest so they didn't know how the cards really worked. Now that they're waiting for a Cartoon only suggest they're going for a younger new set of players (you need that in a business like this). Anyone that was a Kid when MND first came out isn't one now. If they do dumb it down, I probably won't buy it... but I agree it looks like there going that direction...
