He doesn't kill them all he turns a lot of them. Like Remus for example! When he does kill though I agree that is horrible. Hopefully he kills them first though, like snapping their necks. I hear that's painless!

I think it's worse for the ones that he turns. They don't all turn out like Remus, I think a lot of them go feral, or stick with him.

Maybe they become his sex slaves... o__. Poor children. Poor, poor little werewolf-cub children.

yea being a sex slave would suck if you were a kid, but if you were oh I don't know.....my age maybe you could learn to live with it? Hey Greyback may be a basterd but he's a hott basterd! And isn't going feral the same thing as going with him? He basically lives and runs his pack feral.

Well, if they were smaller (which I imagined them to be) than that would be horrible. He'd be this big... crazy... ***** guy. And, in the books, didn't they describe him as a very scary looking thing? I mean, I remember it saying that Greyback looks like a werewolf, whether he's in his transformed state or not. o__.

True but minus the fur he's got to have one hott body from all that running around. Plus Remus is hott and for some weird reason I picture Greyback as a wilder, bigger, tougher version of Remus. They don't look identicle of course but they look somewhat similar.

Hmmm...have to disagree with you there.

Remus Lupin, for all of his...erm...natural disadvantages, is as human as a werewolf can be. Fenrir Greyback, on the other hand, is not. Fenrir is a bestial, degenerate, corrupt half-human half-beast monster who embraces the fact that he's a werewolf and uses that for evil, whereas Remus has only ever worked for the good side.

There is actually no canon evidence for Remus being good-looking at all - that's a fan creation. And Fenrir Greyback is most certainly canonically not good-looking, no two ways about it.

Of course, you can picture him however you want, Havoc. There really is no stopping you because... well, we can't. I mean, if we're speaking in canon, Remus was never really described as good looking or hideous, so he could be either. Due to the fact that I've always liked Remus from the moment he was first introduced to the books, I've always pictured him as a... handsome man. Kind of a bit gruffier than most, though. To me, he was thin with some muscle and had a greyish-ness about his skin, and his eyes are a warm blueish grey. His face looks young. I pictured him with a little bit of facial hair. ^^;
Honestly, for appearance, not really much is said about Remus. It says he has greying light brown hair and shabby clothes. The rest is left for our imaginations. There is a bit more description for Fenrir. The Lexicon, our bible, states:

Described as a "big, rangy man with matted gray hair and whiskers." His black Death Eater's robes are "uncomfortably tight" and his dirty hands have "long yellowish nails." His voice is raspy and bark-like. Even when human Greyback has pointed teeth.

And a random fact: Fenrir didn't kill most of his victims. He just bit them and contaminated him. *reads the Lexicon intererstingly* He killed the 5-year-old brother of the Montgomery sisters when he "got carried away".

Isn't the point of story characters to let our imaginations fill in the blanks? In my imagination Greyback is a hot b*****d and Remus is a hot non-b*****d. And even though Remus is mostly human the werewolf in him would have given him a boost in strength. It's not like Greyback got the good genes or something. And Remus has Greyback's doggy genes so Remus would have to be strong and an alpha.
(hehe couldn't resist the doggy thing. I love Remus' "furry little problem!")

Oh, I'm not saying that you're not entitled to your own opinions or anything - I'm sorry if it came across like that! - I was just pointing out what it says in canon. Personally, I've always thought Remus would be rather good-looking as well - I'll describe my Remus for you in a one-shot some day, if you'd like - but that Greyback would be very bestial and not at all fitting my idea of "good-looking".

True, true. I mean, long yellowish nails and pointed teeth could turn on a lot of people. razz

Nah, I'm not trying to squash your imagination or anything. I just pictured him a lot less hott and a lot more... 'ready-to-cut-your-throat-with-a-single-glare'-ish. And, I disagree with your point on Remus having to be strong and an alpha idea. Greyback bit a lot of people, not just Remus. Werewolves travel in packs (er, at least the stereotypical werewolves do and the bad ones in HP) so there are plenty of others that Remus would have to compete against if he wanted to be the leader of the 'pack'. Probably others a lot more like Greyback than himself.

Ron points out in PoA that Lupin, "looks like one good hex would finish him off..." (and that is, as far as I can remember, the exact wording). Not exactly a strong, muscular alpha male type there.
PostPosted: Mon May 21, 2007 6:23 am

I don't see Lupin so much as muscular, but I do see him as lean. If he were to strip off his clothes and wait a while so that I could recover from a massive nosebleed, I don't think he'd be completely skin and bones, but he wouldn't be a muscular man either. He'd be... like how the long distance runners look. He doesn't have a whole lot of muscle to him, but he has a little bit of meat on there. With his clothes on it may appear that he's thin and frail, but underneath the clothes and his scars he's not a badly shaped man.

Hmmm...I'm personally still leaning towards skin and bones-ish - adorably so, mind you, but still. Though I think you do make a good point. LeanlyMuscular!Remus is the stuff of happy thoughts.

It's not so much the looks that would turn people on but the power. And no it never says that Remus is an alpha, but even so I never meant that he was alpha of Greybacks pack. I meant if he had his own. Also just becasue he doesn't look buff doesn't mean that he's not. My friend is skinny as anything and he doesn't look like he has an ounce of muscle on him but he punches harder then any guy I know. Whether they be my friend or not. Muscle just doesn't show on some people. And I never took it as you telling me that my opinion was wrong but just for good measure, STOP POPPING MY BUBBLE!!!!!

Oh, so this is the naked Remus thread that Kat was talking about...

Well firstly, MMMMMMMMMM! Naked Remus? Oh hell yes!

And yeah I think he would be skinny, like really awkwardly skinny. Kayla, I'd like to point out that lean is what Sasuke is, and Remus' body would look nothing like his. I think Remus would be an Eric Forman body type, but paler.
