Everyone hates quina only because he/she has no background whatsoever
Sure the character sucks has weak attacks but quina is supposed to be a blue mage not a front line attacker reasons are he/she learns all of the best support spells in the game..sooo they made he/she look retarded so noone would use quina...even though quina is the best character in the game besides beatrix and Zidane...

zidane rocks the most! i actually just had a zidane avi in the arena
the exchanges between zidane and steiner "rusty" are hilarious, though steiner finally stops being such a hardhead at the end of disk 3 and its interesting to see him grow up.

Ravenwolf Aya_Teien I just don't think there's enough love for Kuja going around here. Maybe it's because of the man thong? rofl The thing is, he can actually pull it off! Seriously, not even Sephy could do that. Kuja is absolute love. Thank you! I was amazed to see how little the people on this board like him. He's normally a favorite out of FF IX with my friends and I. Just because he's such a unique character. Although I'm not to fond of the trance Kuja form, it doesn't make him any less sexy. And believe it or not, I found a boy on a cosplay site who likes to cosplay Kuja! I was very suprised.

I had hard time liking any of them, really. Now is not particularly creative moment to start analyzing why, but something about them made me constantly grit my teeth.
Good sides. Freya and Amarant, both left for too small role. Or I was too annoyed of other things in the game that it is still hard to concentrate on good things... Can't tell.
Flame me if you please, but there was more things that bugged me than I enjoyed at FF9. neutral

I luuuurve Freya. She is too awesome. I love how she's a non-human character that doesn't look like a sex toy and is physically strong (plus Dragoons are one my fav classes). Zidane and Garnet are also much loved.
I can't stand Steiner, and Vivi bothers me sometimes. He's occasionally cute, but I hate his pants and doesn't always help enough in battle. Quina I don't really feel either way about, and I haven't met Eiko or Amarelkljearlk yet (I can't remember his name xD).
So far, I don't like Kuja, and that's mostly from his character design. I hate pretty guys. xd

Yeah, Freya's pretty awesome. I didn't really care for her my first time though, but I've taken a liking to her since.
Wow, I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't love Vivi! I understand the pants, but if I remember, he gets more useful later on. Of course he's best when pairing with Steiner so you can use sword magic, but I didn't use Steiner after I got Amarant. It's not that tough a name. xp
Gyyaaa, Kuja's brilliantly awesome, but I really can't blame you. Even I'm a little iffy about the thong.

She's outta my team now, and I'm sad. D=
Personality wise, I don't dislike Vivi. The part that bothers me is a. He's a black mage (my main problem with them is that they require MP to attack), and b. I think he's in the story too much. I mean, from what I've seen so far, he's got a pretty major plot element, but I wish I wouldn't get stuck with him all the time.
I met Eiko. She's too cute. ^^ Kinda useless and redundant in the field, but cute none the less. I think I'm going to meet Amarant really soon, though (it's not a tough name, but I've only seen it once or twice. As soon as he's in my team, I'll be able to remember it).
I starting to think that, until the end of the game, I'll never be able to choose my own party. D= I'm currently stuck with Dagger, Eiko, Vivi and Zidane, and it's driving me nuts. I don't think summonings are useful enough to spend the MP on, and I really don't need two white mages.

I loved Blank as soon as he was introduced.
And, no lie, because I'm just that pathetic, I teared up when he was petrified.
When you first get her, yeah, Eiko's basically just a mini Garnet, but later, I found Eiko to be totally useful. So much more than Garnet, for that matter.
Heck, she had Holy and Esuna (which Garnet never gets.) Plus, her summons are better than Garnet's, IMO. And her Trance is great. Baha, I love Eiko. :P
When I first got it, I had no idea who I was going to choose for the final party, either. XD
Right now, it's Zidane (of course) Vivi, Eiko, and either Freya or Steiner.

Garnet never learns Esuna or Holy? Eiko just earned a spot on my team. sweatdrop
I think I'm going to have Zidane, Freya, Eiko, and Amarant (or maybe Vivi, depending on what I'm doing).
I don't like Blank's character design. xD I like him, but I don't like the way he looks.
And Kuja has make-up. I'm sorry, but you cannot be intimidating if you're male and wearing make-up (unless it's clown make up xD).

Shoot, where'd my last reply go?! I think I forgot to press Submit...
I usually dislike characters who need MP to attack, but I used my Vivi to the point where he never even ran out before I went to an inn, so it wasn't a problem. I use inns a lot in IX for some reason; I rarely use them in other games past VI.
Blank is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters ever. I wish he had a bigger part in the story... I personally think his design is awesome. I made my Naruto OC blind so she could wear her headband to look like him (don't worry; she was scrapped shortly after her conception).
Naw, Dagger's summons are better, but Eiko is a better white mage. Full-Life for the win! I do use Dagger though, because I just like her. I don't really summon either. I've always used Zidane, Vivi, Dagger, and Amarant (and they had to be arranged that way in my party). Next time I play though, I'm considering replacing Amarant with Steiner. I love Amarant, but Steiner is more useful, especially paired with Vivi.
Oh, come on! What kind of logic is that, with Kuja?

I can't get over how many items I'm getting in this game. It's unbelievable. HiPotions just recently became avaliable, and I've already got 70 of them. xD
I really like Freya because on top of doing good physical damage, she's got some moderate healing stuff too. Amarant wins in that respect too. And I've realized only Eiko can learn Haste, so I'm definately replaceing Dagger with her. xD
I don't know, if Kuja walked up to me, I think I'd just laugh.
