He nodded slowly as she answered, surprised at the ease of her answer. Feeling her hands on his face, tracing every line, was one of the most sensual acts he'd ever taken in, and he closed his eyes, letting her finger play across his skin. As she lowered her hands, he opened his eyes, smiling back to her with a slight blush. He could tell she wasn't like most women, and at leasts he couldn't see him blushing. Moving a bit of his hair from his face, Samanosuke tried to change the subject back to what she'd mentioned. "Plain? ...A sword is never plain, Hanako-chan. It carries in it the lust for battle that its weilder carries, be it to protect, or endanger. The blade dances and sings to a song so beautifully only death can be its partner." Gripping the masamune in his left hand tightly, he smirked. "The purpose it serves, my dear Hanako, is that this 'plain' sword carries your convictions, principals, and future... so please, do not refer to it as plain, because I'm sure the blade is as beautiful as you."

Samanosuke nodded his head some, listening to each word she spoke as he watched her smile flinch slightly as her latter statement of weakness. He could understand how she felt. He shed much blood, sweat and tears to master what he thought would defend himself and others, and, watching her remove the hidden blade with ease and care, he could tell she too was the same way. The sword looked rather nice, and he nodded his eyes, carefully examining the sheathe and never asking for her to remove the blade. He was stunned be her question, but suddenly remembered, even though her beautiful eyes sought his, she was blind. Raching towards her hand with his he ran her fingertips along the guard of his masamune, the the two he wore on his side, and then lowered himself so she could feel the four against his back. Smiling, he spoke in a soft sentence. "I carry seven swords, one for each convitcion of my own, and one for every one I have surpassed before me." Standing tall again and letting her hand go, he found himself looking back to her face, hoping she might at least be slightly interested in him as a person, and not as just a fellow Ronin.

Rikku had simply nodded her head at Hiro's request and had immdately left the bar with him and headed off to the bus. The bus ride for her was surprisngly quiet, but then again that was because she had 'taken a nap' in the bus. She really just had passed out, curling up in the corner and slightly snuggling into him for warmth. Luckly enough though, she had woken up when the the bus had trudged to a stop. She rubbed her eyes lazily as she sat up and streatched slightly, her ears perked back but her tail flickering slightly. She simply gave him a smile "Hey" she said as she stood up and walked off the bus with him. She noticed the blossoms falling over the park, they really were beauitful, everything about them drawed to her. She would wait for him though, before going in any further, subconsicously she was in a 'master' complex already with Hiro. Though that was pretty funny because Hiro wasn't really the type to control anyone, Rikku was just always controlled like the neko girl she was, and she was used to it.

Sei shook his head lighlty, letting out a heavy sigh. This was all too much for him. So much drama since they'd come here! But in the end, he couldn't say he regretted anything. "Mel," he began softly. "Me and Akane have always been friends. She never gave any signs of it being more than that." Or, maybe she had... but Sei was oblivious to things like that most of the time. He gave her a gentle squeeze and then grinned down at her, trying to brighten the mood and not reveal how down he was either. "K, let's go," he said, and tugged her up carefully.

Akane's eyes narrowed angrily at the man. Why wasn't he saying anything?! "I hate you," she snapped and then looked down at the ground, just silently staring for a second or two. But she saw him raise a brow from the corner of her eye and before she knew it, everything was pouring out again. "I've known him forever!" she cried. "We come here and on the very first day, he's already spending all his time with her. I was totally ignored, just shoved to the side! I...! I hate him so much.." she mumbled, hiding her face against Kuro's cold fur.

Rin blinked, eyes widening very slightly as she was tugged over to him. She noted the nickname, but she didn't comment, just letting it go. Instead she simply sat there, feeling a little awkward at first but soon getting used to it. She had one hand clutching his shirt for support, even though she knew he wouldn't let them fall. She was wondering about the tree branch, but decided not to question it. After all, that might jinx it! So she kept silent, until he suddenly hugged her and spoke. She remained silent, returning his grin with a thoughtful glance. "...you should," she said suddenly. "You're a prince too, right?" She sighed and pressed her face against his shoulder. Would that work out? They both had their share of family related problems.

[She's getting annoyed. But she likes having someone to rant to also. xD]

Akane fell silent, just hugging Kuro lightly to herself. She waited a moment, drooping ears listening for some type of reply. Anything. She didn't care, she just wanted him to say something. But none came, so she turned and looked at him, obviously annoyed. She opened her mouth to yell at him, but froze when she saw the ice cream sandwhich. Where... had he gotten that? She glanced around, as if expecting some random vendor to be standing there selling them. But, there wasn't. Looking back towards him, she was about to speak yet again, but suddenly found the ice cream in her mouth.

She just blinked, surprised, and ended up taking a small bite. She chewed slowly, eyes falling down to Kuro as he was fed a piece, and he happily swallowed it down. Then the man pretty much swallowed the rest whole. Akane sat there staring at him for a few seconds, then frowned again at the look he gave her. "Shut up," she snapped, though he hadn't said anything in the first place. "I hate you." A small pause, and then she added irritably, "Are you mute or something?" She stared fixedly at him, frustrated.

Rin hugged him back tightly, still hiding her face against him. At his first question, she paused and then nodded her head, slowy raising it a second after. "Sure," she said with a small smile. He kissed her, and her arms shifted around his neck, but she did nothing more than that. He soon pulled back, and she watched him silently as he spoke. Now she was glad she hadn't gotten her hopes up, because they would've been crushed right there. "...of course," she murmured, almost bitterly. Nothing ever worked out for them, it seemed.

Akane glared at him when he simply shook his head, frustration growing. She was very close to just pouncing on him, in her mind perhaps thinking she could pin him down and make him speak. However, in reality he was bigger than her, and she probably wouldn't have that great a chance. Also, she wasn't sure what his power was. He could summon ice cream from thin air? What kind of power was that?! And then suddenly, as she glared at him, a puff of cloud-like smoke surrounded him.

She blinked, staring in surprise, eyes widening even further when he was revealed to have suddenly sprouted fox features and was playing a flute. She had the sudden urge to snatch it out of his hands and smack him on the head with it. But for the moment she was too shocked. She just slowly reached out, grabbed his tail and tugged on it, and then stared back at his face. "Wh-what the hell are you doing?" she asked, dumbfounded. This was by far the most emoion Akane had shown in a very long time, but she couldn't help it. He was so weird!

[Lykewhoa! What the hell? xDDDD]

Rin rolled her eyes, but she was the verge of smiling again. Yuki was, honestly, the only one besides her father who could make her smile. Once more, she looped her arms around his neck and hugged him close to herself, hiding her face against him and actually snuggling in lightly. Yes, as corny as it sounded, at least they were doing it together. She let out a short laugh, muffled against him, as she clung to him. Her fear about being in a tree had faded by now, along with the awkwardness that came with the idea of being constantly watched.

[The ghost only cares about hurting Rin. >.> But if they get in her way, she'd attack them... But she's pathetic without a spirit's powers helping her out. D: .......... -hits them with a tree branch- =DD Something should happen where the neckless is tugged a little and she takes over, or maybe Rin falls from the tree and is knocked out, so the ghost still takes over. >.>]

Akane blinked when he frowned, and was about to smirk to herself, when she suddenly landed face first on the ground, his tail tugged out of her grasp. "...ow," she muttered, her tone momentarily monotonous again like normal. She pushed herself up and glared at him, her hands clenching tightly. The urge to smack him with that flute was increasing with every second, and just as she was about to do so, he suddenly changed again. She froze, staring. Kuro also turned to stare now, and got into a crouched position, tail flicking behind him as he prepared to pounce. However, before he had a chance, the man had changed back to normal again. Kuro paused, then meowed and inched forward, pawing at his leg. Akane just watched in frustration, her hands still clenched. "Stupid," she snapped almost childishly. "I hope you die from that." She was referring to the cigarette.

[That was... extremely weird. xDD]

Rin cuddled lightly into him, her eyes closed as she let herself relax for the moment. But she looked up again when she heard something, and glanced down to see a kid getting back a ball that'd been thrown over here. Only he paused and plucked something from the tree. Yuki looked alarm and she wasn't sure, until a moment later when the branch they were on suddenly gave and they both went tumbling down. She clung to him tightly, biting back a scream. She really was scared of heights, and this was not good. "Ah-!" she started, feeling the tug on her necklace, but before she could say anything, she found herself plunged into that dark corner of her mind, huddled up in the corner with the white clothed figure standing over her, smirking with her hands on her hips.

"He let you fall..." she said in a soft voice as she knelt down, tugging Rin into a hug. "He let you fall, didn't he? Even though he promised not to?" Rin shook her head, tensing and squeezing her eyes shut. "G-go away.." she stammered weakly. But the spirit just laughed, and continued cooing in Rin's ear. "He doesn't want to marry you either. Those were just excuses to get out of it. Don't you see? He doesn't really like you. Not at all..." Rin covered her ears with her hands, but the spirit tugged them away again. "No one likes you, Rin. You'll be alone forever, just like me. No one, Rin. No one..." Rin let out a sudden whimper, and the spirit knew she'd won. She withdrew, standing up.

As Yuki tugged Rin to her feet, her eyes suddenly opened, having been closed since the tug on the necklace. "Yes.." she said softly. "I'm fine. Are you...?" She brushed herself off as well, and while her hair was hanging in her face, hiding it, a sudden smirk spread across her face. She hadn't been out in a while...
