Mizuki abruptly stopped, another thought entering her head. She stared twoards the male again, eyes narrowing in focus. Did he say, er, think blow up shells? How was he...? Without even thinking, she started towards him, hands swinging by her sides as she walked through the sand, sliding her bare feet and leaving long trails behind her. She stopped a few feet away, about five, and clasped her hands together behind herself, leaning slightly forward and towards him. "...what's this about blowing stuff up?" she asked suddenly. She looked curious and, strangely enough, eager.

He had just found a nice conch when he heard sombody ask about him blowing things up. He didn't think he was talking aloud but he'd been wrong about that before. In the presense of police. "Well I'm gonna take this sucker here, toss it and make it go boom!" he said turning his head, revealing his horns and eyes. As if he was hiding them. "Simple? Yes? Fun? I'd like to think so. Now onto the show." He tossed the shell high into the air with his left arm, quickly raising his right to follow its ascend to its peak. With a pointed pointer finger and a bout a secong of charge he released, his arm cocking back as if he fired a gun.
Then, in the sky where the conch had almsot started to fall, was an explosion that shattered the shell to peices. Dredd was pleased with the results. The shell shattering made the bang a little louder.

Mizuki inched a little closer, relieved he hadn't freaked out that she'd replied to his thoughts. Sometimes she forgot and did that, like now, and most of the time she got odd looks. Though, maybe he was used to it because of this strange school? Others seemed to adjust quickly. Or maybe he just didn't realize? Either way was fine with her, really.
She nodded her head as he finished speaking, eyes focusing upon the shell. "Mind if I watch?" she asked, with no intention of leaving. She simply looked on as he tossed up the shell, positioned his arm, and then cocked his arm back. She blinked, then jolted slightly as she shell suddenly exploded. "W-whoa!" she cried with a clap of her hands, and looked towards him with a broad grin. "That your power? Explode things?" She'd come to realize, by now, that most everyone here had at least some sort of power.

Her reaction to it was like so many before, and just as before he gave back a toothy grin. "Yep." He replied, pointing at some sand further back on the land.He barely held it there and there was a smaller exsplosion, kicking up sand into the air. "Never a dull moment with these puppies, just have to be carefull where your pointing." He was still working on that. He almost got arrested for arson, but they didn't catch him." Also, using it inside is bad." he added, it might be bad, butthat didn't always stop him from doing it.

"I'd imagine so," Mizuki replied, watching in a sort of amazement as he blew up a wave of sand. Then she grinned, deciding to attempt to imitate it, at least a little. "Lemme try," she grinned, then froze in concentration. A small hesitation where absolutely nothing happened, and then a burst of sand suddenly lurched upwards and from the ground, expanding in all directions before falling back down again. Mizuki exhaled slowly, then turned and faced him, grinning broadly.

"Alright, lets see what you can do." he said waiting patiently for her little demostration. He was greeted by the burst of sand into the air. "Dude, No explosion or nothin'. How'd you- no I can figure it out." he said wondering how she did it. He put his hand to his chin and stroked it, like he had a goatee or something. Then when he thought hehad something he held the finger out and opened his mouth. "Ah- Hmm." he started to say, then put his finger back to his chin. His hand dropped and his tounge flooped out of the side of his mouth and he looked upward.
The toughe was abnormally long, almsot licking the underside of his jaw. It grew thinner and flatter as it went down, ending in a rounded off point. He sucked it back in and said. "I give up, how'd you do it Miss magician?" he said leaning twords her lightly.

"No explosion," Mizuki nodded her agreement. Just a silent burst of sand. She looped her thumbs in a belt loop of her shorts as she watched him, head tilted to one side and a smile upon her face. She blinked when he looked like he was about to say something, and laughed when he went back to thinking. "Hmm.." she said along with him, but paused when she saw his tongue.
Her eyes widened very slightly, but she just laughed it off a second later, and then glanced back towards the sand. "Telekinesis," she admitted. "I just lifted it up with my power, then let it fall back down on its own. But it was a pretty good imitation, right?" she added, grin returning.

"Telekinesis? Cool beans. I knew a guy who could do that, he always threw stuff at me." Then Dredd looked downward, then mumbled "Or maybe he was just plain throwing it.". Said 'Guy' worked with him at a Taco-Bell and threw peices of cinnamon crisps at Dredd when he wasn't looking. "Anyway, powers aside forthe moment..." he said rubbing his hand against the side his shorts for a second, then holding it out for a shake. "Dredd Verwirung." Dredd said with his wild toothy grin.

Mizuki blinked, watching him curiously as he started mumbling to himself. Threw stuff? She hadn't done much of that... Ok, well maybe a little. Mostly at siblings though, so it didn't count. She tugged her hat down more firmly upon her head as she glanced down the beach at the crowds of people, wrinkled her nose at them, then faced Dredd once more. She glanced at his hand, then warmly reached out and accepted it. Mizuki Ito," she replied, and though she meant to focus upon his face, her eyes couldn't help shifting curiously upwards towards the horns. After all, she'd never met someone with horns before.

"Feeeeeh," Sam groaned, but it came out like a his. "Kept me in that freakin' computer room all day!" But even though she was complaining, she was smiling broadly to herself. She loved computers more than, well, pretty much anything. She stretched her arms high over her head as she peered around, looking at the beach. Her bright red eyes took everything in, then closed as she yawned, not bothering to cover her mouth. "Doesn't actually seem all that interesting," she decided to herself.
She tucked a strand of black hair behind her ear, adjusted a pair of headphones over her ears, and reached into the pocket of her baggy black pants. She wore heavy boots, steel toed, which sunk into the sand with each step she took. Withdrawning a thin black iPod, she spun her finger along the wheel, finally settling on a band and grinning to herself as it started playing.
"Kay," she said with a nod, and stuffed the mp3 player back into her pocket. She tugged lightly at the snug fitting, midriff tank top she was wearing, also black, and started walking casually down the beach. However, it wasn't long before she was singing, and quite loudly too, and not appropriately for the childen's ears around.
"...Wanna ********, ********, ******** this up, Gonna feel, feel, feel you up, Had enough, enough, enough, enough, Of the heat of Los Angeles!
This city's killing me I want, I want, I want everything, This city's killing me, In the heat of Los Angeles
What has become of me, I want, I want, I want everything, This city's killing me, I want everything!
Come on, come on, It's alive and breathing, Come on, come on, Come alive today, Come on, come on, It's a heart that's beating, The sun is burning down Los Angeles~"

Itonami was standing on the beach, in nothing but a pair of blue jeans, which had been rolled up as he walked in the shallows of the beach, relaxing as he breathed in the ocean air calmly. He hadn't a shirt and since he couldn't see his body, was unawareof the fact that his tall thin form was flecked with scars, and his chest, which had been sliced open the other day in a fight with his demonic brother, had a massive scar running from the right shoulder to the tipe of the left side of his ribcage. He ran his hands lazilly through his white hair and reached for the tie-off of his bandages which were covering his eyes, tightening the bandages slightly while listening to the sound of the ocean.
Unfortunately, as he was enjoying the sound of the ocean, he heard a young woman singing a rather profane song. He could also hear the sound coming from the earbuds she was using, but he had no desire to listen to the song himself. He walked out of the shallows and headed toward the singing girl and approached her, judging when he was close enough by the pitch of her voice. The closer he got, the higher the pitch was, so when he eventually made it right to her, he held up his hand to wave slightly. "Excuse me miss... Would you please be so kind as to stop singing that song? It's rather inappropriate for a public setting where children could hear such bad words." He said softly, his calm voice holding no force or anger behind it whatsoever.

"I want, I want, I wan- Guh?" Sam paused, cutting herself off as someone approached and asked her to stop, basically. She just blinked and then stared around herself, frowning lightly. "Eh, they'll be exposed to it sooner or later," she said with a wave of her hand. "If it's sooner they have more time to adjust, and won't be confused when they hear other people say it! Aaaand," she went on with a grin. "Now their parents have a chance to tell them it's a bad word so they won't start later without knowing."
She paused for a moment, head cocked to one side as she stared at male before her. Her eyes traveled along the various scars in a kind of curious way and then met his. Bandages? Was he blind then? But it was none of her business, so instead of asking about it, she just grinned broadly and glanced out over the ocean, tugging the headphones from her ears and slinging them absently over one shoulder. "So, what'cha doing at the beach, kiddo?"

"While that may be right, don't you think it would be better to preserve the innocence of today's youth? After all... The moment I learned those words, my life literally went to hell..." Ito said calmly with a gentle smile still on his face. He was always a kind and gentle soul, loving of every single life form on the planet. It was actually what had given him the one massive scar on his chest. "But aside from that, Miss... You seem like a kind enough person..." He said gently.
He could feel her gaze travelling over him, sense the curiousity behind it and everything. Then he could feel her eyes staring straight at where she thought his were. "What I'm doing here is relaxing... Trying to rest off yesterdays horrors before going on to another nightmare... But that's not important right now." He said gently, smile still in place as he tried to show that his company needn't worry about it.
He decided to change the subject. "I bet my bottom dollar you're wondering about whether or not I'm blind... Aren't you, Miss?" He asked, pulling the knot in his bandages loose to reveal the completely blood red orbs. "Unfortunately, the Crimson Tear disease that took my family also stole my sight, but that's not too bad... I've been like this for more than seven eighths of my life..." He said simply, then awaited her answer.

Sam stared at him for a moment, then shrugged her shoulders. "Well... I don't think it'll have that big of an impact on them," she replied, sounding a little uncertain. Who was this kid? He just kept smiling, despite what he was saying... She blinked at his comment, and glanced down at herself. "Ah, really? You don't seem half bad yourself, kiddo."
She shifted lightly in place as she listened to him, itching to put her headphones back in, but deciding that'd be rude. Something told her he'd notice, even if he couldn't see. She jumped lightly as he betted what was on her mind, and then she gave another bright grin. "Actually, that's correct," she admitted. No sense in hiding it.
Her eyes eyes stared back into his, slightly widened. "Oooh..." she said suddenly, actually sounding amazed, like she thought it was cool. However, she fell silent as he mentioned it being from a disease. "I... see," she blinked, glanced around, then back to him.
She only hesitated a second before suddenly laughing, recalling something. "My eyes have been red for two years," she grinned. "But they're not completely red. It's because a vampire tried to turn me and failed. Heh, what an idiot." She laughed again, still grinning as if she hadn't a care in the world. "...anyway, sorry for interrupting your relaxing...ness."

"You'd be surprised... Even a butterfly flapping its wings once could have an effect on the whole of earth..." Ito said simply, giving another smile. "And why thank you Miss... I try to take care of myself." He said, letting his smile grow wider for the compliment.
"You have red eyes...? A vampire you say?" He sighed. "I'm not saying all vampires are the scum of the earth, just the ones who kill those they feed from... I actually have a friend here who's a vampire... But aside from that..." He said, pausing for a second. "I believe meeting new people, hearing new voices, and feeling new auras, is the true spice of life... I actually appreciate the fact that you interrupted me, otherwise I'd be still standing here like a statue getting my feet wet..." He said, giving her his thanks. "By the way Ma'am... You never did introducxe yourself... And I believe it is the young lady who tells her name before the man gives his." He said, giving a small laugh.
